Rising from the lush South African bushveld, Cascades Hotel offers a sophisticated escape defined by the gentle music of falling water and the vibrant colours of its tropical gardens. The hotel’s unique triangular architecture ensures that almost every room looks out over the verdant canopy of the resort or the untamed wilderness of the neighbouring Pilanesberg National Park.
It is a place where elegance meets exploration, where a glass elevator provides a sweeping perspective of the Sun City skyline before descending into a world of palm trees, exotic birds, and tranquil lakes. Tucked away from the high-energy bustle of the main casino, this sanctuary provides a refined base for those who want the full resort experience alongside moments of genuine serenity.
The hotel is incredibly popular amongst visiting golfers due to its enviable location, just a stroll away from Gary Player Country Club and a short drive from the Lost City Course. It acts as the perfect base to rest and indulge after a long day on the course; especially due to the brilliant spa facilities onsite.
Discerning travellers who appreciates refined luxury and prefers a quieter, more sophisticated base within a high-action resort.

Accommodation at Cascades Hotel is a masterclass in understated luxury, featuring rooms that blend classic comfort with modern, stylish interiors. The vibe is one of timeless elegance, where the decor mirrors the natural hues of the surrounding landscape.
All 243 guest rooms afford awe-inspiring views over the neighbouring tropical wonderland, including the cascading lake and secluded pools. The uniquely designed interior is reminiscent of the bordering beauty, all the while promoting a relaxing atmosphere with chic decor and modern furnishings.
The culinary journey at the hotel focuses on fresh flavours and atmospheric settings, starting with the expansive international buffet at The Peninsula. Set against the backdrop of manicured gardens and water features, it is the ideal spot for a leisurely breakfast or a refined dinner accompanied by a resident pianist.
For a taste of the Mediterranean, Santorini serves up traditional Greek dishes and wood-fired pizzas in a relaxed space by the water. As evening falls, Vistas Bar becomes the heart of the hotel, where guests gather on the terrace to enjoy expertly crafted cocktails and sundowners while overlooking the illuminated gardens. For those seeking a casual retreat, Luma Bar and Lounge offers a tranquil corner for a coffee or a glass of whiskey adjacent to the pool.
Leisure at Cascades is centred around a sprawling pool area that feels more like a Mediterranean cove than a resort facility. Guests can choose between a heated pool for a soothing soak or a cooler section featuring a waterfall and a gentle slide. The pool deck has been thoughtfully extended to include a sandy beach area, allowing for a coastal feel in the heart of the North West Province.
The Gary Player Country Club and Lost City Course at Sun City are of course the main attraction when staying at the hotel, but after a long round guests can make use of the full-service spa. The Gary Player Health Spa provides a comprehensive range of body treatments and massages designed to undo the tension of a long day on the fairways. From the steam rooms and saunas to the active pursuit of tennis and squash, the facilities ensure every guest finds their own pace of relaxation.
