Great place! A step up from our previous booking with you at Ambre in 2022. Facility were first class, food was excellent and the staff were amazing.

A beautiful hotel on the beach, wonderful staff, facilities and food with 2 excellent courses next door. Go for the all inclusive - you won’t be disappointed. We played 18 holes in the morning and 18 after a fine lunch on the courses

Great hotel and staff

This is our third stay at Belle Mare Plage and we will be returning in 2027. The accommodation is lovely with most having sea views. All the restaurants have very good food and wine menus. I would certainly recommend all inclusive. But it is the staff who really make you welcome and want your stay to be memorable.

Our room was good but needed a bit of updating Room service was inconsistent we had to ask for replenishment. The spirits in fridge we were told not in al inclusive package. However notice in room said it was. Confusing

Our favorite hotel by far in Mauritius. Great location, delicious food, lovely staff, beautiful beach, great facilities. We will be back for sure! Higher standards compared to Anahita.

Our stay at the hotel was top notch, friendly and helpful staff , very close to the sea with everything you need for your stay . The food was some of the best quality food we had ever tasted , good quality wines and beverages. Rooms very comfortable. 6 stars

Lovely room had a free upgrade from a prestige room to a junior suite as there was a problem with the room.Had pool and sea views . All the restaurants were extremely good and I cannot fault the food or service in any way. All staff members were fantastic and nothing was to much trouble. We have been to this hotel 4 times and it always has been very peaceful and you didn’t feel it was to busy . The one major problem we had after our second day was a group of 160 Swedish golfers arrived. This closed the two golf courses for two days each and the Deer hunter restaurant was closed for around 4/5 days. The swim up bar and adjacent beach area was overrun by this group when they finished golf and in the evening you couldn’t get into the main bar ! I feel we should of been made aware of a large group staying at the hotel so we could have changed out dates. If this is the way the Constance group are going I for one won’t be returning to this hotel . Once this large group left our last two days returned to a lovely peaceful hotel we love!

Excellent as always - treated as VIPs on this visit with extra special attention from all the staff.

Lovely golfing hotel. Great atmosphere and friendly efficient staff. Our Junior Suite was a little disappointing though and the bed was rather hard! The balcony furniture was somewhat tired and the room itself was not as good as other suites we have stayed in. Overall however, I would recommend this hotel as a great holiday destination.

Just loved it all, plenty to do if you wish and the staff were superb. We had a room on the floor level from which we had direct access to the pool/sea so after golf cooling off was close! We have never gone back to the same place before but we will go back to here.

We had a wonderful 7 nights at the Belle Mare Plage. The best thing about the resort is the level of service from their staff. We tried nearly all the restaurants and all served excellent food with real variety. Our particular favourite was the Sushi restaurant. There are plenty of activities and the golf offer is brilliant with two excellent courses. Lovely setting with a beautiful beach. We are likely to go back at some point!

We had a great time the staff were so helpful and friendly nothing was a problem for them.The only one thing I would say is get your towels for the beach early as we struggled to get towels after our golf(get them before you golf)

It began with a complimentary upgrade to beautiful junior suites next to the Serenity Pool beside the beach. It was perfect for a party of four lady golfers on the all inclusive deal. The staff were welcoming,very efficient and could not be more helpful. Alvin in The Bar deserves special mention, surely a future manager. The variety and standard of food was excellent including choices for those with special dietary requirements. We took advantage of the variety of treatments at the Spa, quite expensive but well worth it.

Some issues in the bar with poor service in the bar but rectified very promptly after we complained. Food could be better not always hot enough and not much variety over 2 weeks.

The all inclusive deal here was excellent. Main buffet offering was wide ranging and imaginative. Lots of choice and themes. The other restaurants are also good but we mainly had the main buffet. Wines were excellent, very much better than we expected and the restaurant staff were knowledgeable, Beach is good and swimming pools well designed. Staff excellent throughout, really enjoyed the stay.

Absolutely wonderful place and great value for money. Staff very friendly and food was fabulous with a good choice of dishes.

Due to weather needed more thing to be put on . We had a cyclone 111 so needed the hotel to put more things on for guest Apart from that good

Absolutely superb, from the minute you arrive until you depart nothing is too much trouble or effort. Great location and selection of on site restaurants and bars.

Fresh, clean and great air con

The hotel is luxurious. Great location with several pools to choose from and it’s own sandy beach, plus already included water sport amenities. Food excellent. All staff are courteous, friendly and helpful.

Very relaxed high quality service . Beautiful room inside drinks and amenities made for comfortable living. Balcony view and position central to the swimming pool amazing stunning beach and ocean lagoon. Two minutes walk to all restaurants and activities.

You need to be very careful whilst signing for food and drinks to make sure you are only paying for your own consumption, then check the final hotel bill in great detail. Hotel management not as tight as it was in 2014 (previous visit).

From the moment we stepped out of the car we were treated to 5 star luxury absolutely fantastic warm and friendly people

This is a beatiful hotel on the beach with great facilities, but visitore must go all inclusive otherwise it is very expensive.

Unfortunately I had requested ground floor suite we were allocated a second floor suite and though it was perfectly adequate both my husband and I struggled with the steps. As for everything else we both felt that the management had certainly improved the whole complex since we were last there. Particularly the quality of food in the al la carts restaurants.

Very comfortable, very clean, Staff excellent, friendly and very efficient. Hotel is very well laid out and kept in great condition. Beach cleaned early every morning before the guests went on. Excellent sport facilities--water, tennis, golf. Our stay ticked all our boxes and would go back.

This one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. the service and the staff were fantastic. Must holiday for everyone and anyone.

A fantastic first visit to Mauritius. The hotel, courses and all YGT arrangements were great. The staff at Constance Belle Mare Plage could not do enough to make our stay so memorable. Thanks YGT and all at the hotel, Legends and Links.

Decent room

Same experience as hew Legends.

Very good layout and in good condition. I played off the backs and found it a fair test. The staff were very helpful and the facilities were 1st class. The concern we had was the standard of golf was dreadful. There is no monitoring of the golf standards and the marshalls did little to move play on. Most of the people we either saw or in some instances played with were not of a standard to play these courses and on our last day the Swiss couple should not have been playing and it ruined our game.

A stunning course which we love

It was a shame for us that there was a 4 day competition taking place during our stay which meant we couldn’t play the course as much as we would have liked to.

A different course from Legend with piles of volcanic lava a different hazard, but beautiful and for the straight hitters very manageable. Like Legend hazards placed to disrupt the lower handicappers and big hitters but it was my favourite course.

A beautiful but quite tricky course, lots of water but decent wide fairways. The hazards are placed to trap the better golfers so it’s quite playable for us 24 handicappers. Useful driving range and the golf staff are fantastic. My brother and I took a lesson from the pro who turned out to be the Mauritian champion. Lovely bloke.

Felt longer than the Legend course but wider fairways. Great condition. More forgiving around greens.

Fair test of golf. The water makes approach shots tricky. Greens were great.

Same words as for the Legend Course. A different challenge but still in superb condition.

We always played early, around 07.30, lovely time of day and the round with a buggy took around 2 3/4 hours. The course is a very good challenge, I play off single figures but still needed a few balls throughout the stay.

Easier than the Legend but still some tricky holes.

Some holes are hard, some are easy. Quite a bit of water. Had the course to ourselves in the afternoons.

Enjoy an relaxing resort style course which presents as you see it greens are either about or below the fairway so to score well you need to club well.

Keep your ball on the fairway as there is a lot of water. Take in the view on 17th. Caddies a great value and will guide you through the holes and help read the greens.

A challenging course for low handicap golfers, slightly easier for those of us with a 22 handicap

We did not feel the Slope rating was correct. The local course chart did not agree with the standard shot formula

Great course it’s all there in front of you , hard to play when the wind got up but again play in twice and you we get to know it better.

A fair course plenty of water you will play better on your second round there .

Again fantastic condition! A lot harder than I remembered! Left plenty of balls there 🤣would love to play it again. One of our rounds the course was closed to buggy’s so we used supplied pull trolleys. These were so old is was more of a work out trying to push / pull it , the club needs to replace these with new three wheel ones if they require you to walk as quite a few people we spoke to didn’t play because of the old style trolleys and they couldn’t use them .

The golf course was in fantastic condition and the greens were amazing!

Caddy masters know us well from previous visits and looked after us in all respects. We played about 8 times over our 4 weeks stay and therefore got to know the course a bit better (a lot of blind shots!)

Only played once during our visit. Caddy masters friendly and helpful. prefer Links as not as much water carry!

I would say not as good as legend’s, but not a lot to choose between them, again service fantastic, they make you feel you belong there and very comfortable

You get to the club, and there are 4-5 people looking after you, putting your clubs onto buggy, do you want range balls , show where tee, putting greens, and then when paying someone comes and asked do you want a cold drink, water, beer, soft drink, they can’t do enough for you, same after the game. Into clubhouse for some food and drinks, fantastic

All rounds were most enjoyable but the amount of water made it a more difficult course than the Links.

My husbands favourite of the two available, very Jurassic looking and great to play. We had buggy’s (to be recommended as hot) for all rounds of golf. The courses are in good shape and the greens are superbly quick!

We were at our hotel when Cyclone Batsirai struck and although no loss of life all vegetation /trees took a hammering and the course was a mess. But the staff were unbelievable and 9 holes were available within 8 hrs and the rest the next day. It really was a Herculean effort and the highest of praise to all the staff armed with chainsaws,trailers etc. Of the two courses available this was my favourite, my husband preferred The Links. Something for everyone!

The Legends course is again average in difficulty as long as you hit a straight ball.My wife and myself were made welcome during every game.The practise facilities are excellent before you play.We did lose a few balls but not worth worrying about and we are average players.We enjoyed our games and we were blown away with how beautiful the 17th signature par 3 was.😎🏌🏿‍♂️

Links course was excellent we found the greens a little slow but in excellent condition (this might have been down to our putting)The course itself was in excellent condition and from the minute you arrive until you leave the make you feel so welcome.We didn’t find the course to difficult and we are average players.Thanks to all at the Links course booking was easy and we always got times around when we asked for.

Probably our favourite. It was in better condition overall with better greens. Worth the short regular shuttle from the hotel. Our clubs were taken to the course to be played the following day.

Tropical rainstorms before we arrived meant the first nine holes were not open for play so we took pull trolllies and played the second nine. This was a challenging but beautiful course which we enjoyed later in the week.

This was my favourite of the 2 courses at Belle Mare. Short bus ride but worth it. Transfers were regular. Plenty of golf balls needed for this testing golf course

Wider fairways make this the easier course but still really enjoyable. Several blind approach shots but they didn’t take away the enjoyment. Easy booking system and great staff at both courses.

Not a course to play with jet lag! Tight but challenging drives off the whites, a very good holiday course. Lost 8 balls on first morning, a record for me. We took 3.5 hours for a mixed four ball. The ladies won every time!

Perhaps a slightly easier golf course than Legends and again great facilities.

Good golf course that can be difficult when the wind blows with plenty of water. Beautiful clubhouse and facilities. Slight issue occasionally with booking tee times and then arriving at course to find them trying to alter the arrangements.

Easier of the two courses but the greens run off and there are very few flat surfaces to play off of, so a different challenge.

Excellent top quality golf course, be aware there are a lot of water hazards and the course is very narrow at places. Accuracy is rewarded, and finding fairways is key.

A well laid out course. Plenty of water and red hazard but the choices of tee box to suit all abilities helps you negotiate to your own standard. If you are losing balls, remind yourself, you are on holiday in a wonderful location and playing in shorts and short sleeves. Enjoy it

An interesting and well thought out course, with varying terrain and choices of tee boxes to suit all standards. A good tee shot is rewarded. It is quite different from the Legend course and thus makes the two course venue a great overall experience.

Less water but more elevation changes than The Legend! Challenging to place first and second shots but rewarding if you find the green in 2 and 3 as the greens were straightforward and well down so putts ran true!

An immaculate course lots of hole variation water and gradient changes. Difficult in two club wind on a few holes and second shot placement is crucial and testing on many of the greens. Loved the par 3’s you could see the pin so no guessing/ assessing to add just club selection!

Very poor facility management. Plagued by greens staff trying to sell you balls. At one point had three different mowing machines racing down the fairway towards us to be the first to offer bags of golf balls. People driving up when you are on the tee waving golf balls. On second complaint to management had green fee refunded.

This is a superb sculptured and manicured golf course undulating with super quick greens

It is difficult to play on a course like this as it so stunning the water is very cleverly laid out to catch that errant ball

Loved the course we know it well. Very narrow The boys at the club house were very attentive working hard for their tips. As they were preparing the course for a tour competition the tees markers were all put together and ladies would find this very difficult to even make the fairways on some holes and they brought the water into play as well

Compared to the Legend I didn't do so well on the Links. A more open course with lots of boulders however still an excellent golf course to play. Played twice, one time being the weekly Shotgun Texas Scramble run by the Staff--great fun day.

The word was that this was a tight and quite difficult course. Played it twice--once under my handicap (13) and once just over. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and it seemed to suit my play--my wife also enjoyed the Legend--also playing very much to her handicap. Staff excellent. Clubs cleaned and either stored on sight or taken to the Links for the next game.

Legend superb as usual. Links understand the reason for tree removal however gone way to far and made the course uninteresting

Tricky course but after a couple of rounds and better course knowledge of the water hazards, rocks and hole layouts our concern over our ball supply lessened!

Visiting in September was great for us with temperatures in the mid to high 20°s. The course was not busy so we played in a two ball at our own pace.

Plenty of water hazards, you will lose a few balls, deer on course which is nice... preferred the Links course though.

Fab course - played it 7 times. You need a buggy - and plenty of balls...
