Set among 350 acres of lush English countryside, in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Dale Hill is one of the UK’s best-kept secrets. With two genuine championship courses and first-class facilities, Dale Hill has steadily established a reputation as one of the most comprehensive golfing destinations in the South East. The Woosnam Course was designed by Ian Woosnam himself, a modern parkland layout worthy of the pros, yet accessible enough for higher handicappers.
Found just an hour outside of London, and 25 minutes from Royal Tunbridge Wells, the Dale Hill resort is easily accessible by car and the ideal spot to escape the city. The excellent hotel at Dale Hill is among the highest-rated four-star hotels in the area, where the 50 guest bedrooms are of a superb standard. The Wealden View Restaurant is one of the resort’s highlights, offering a delicious array of award-winning dishes, complemented by the Lounge Bar, for pre-dinner drinks.

The Old Course carves through the mature woodland that is characteristic of the whole estate, and provides visitors with splendid views of the Sussex Weald. Despite not being particularly lengthy - the Old measures 5,856 yards - the par of 69 remains a considerable test. The front nine is more open, while the woodland that dominates the final holes makes for an exacting closing stretch.
Dale Hill received a shot in the arm in 1997, when Ryder Cup legend and US Masters winner Ian Woosnam added the resort's second championship course. The modern parkland layout, measuring 6512 yards, is designed in line with USGA construction principles, and features many challenging holes as it sweeps across the natural undulations of the landscape. Highlights include the spectacular 16th, a short hole played across a severe gully. The Woosnam is the perfect balance, as it challenges the highly-skilled players without becoming too difficult for the average visitor.
Dale Hill is also home to a PGA Game Improvement Centre, making it just the place for both practice and tuition.
Dale Hill's two courses and excellent facilities make it perfect for a corporate or society outing.
The traditional style of the resort is perfectly complemented by the contemporary furnishings and amenities throughout, while all visitors will enjoy the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Depending on what side of the hotel you stay, the superb views across the golf course and the Weald will only serve to embellish your golf break at Dale Hill.
Dale Hill's leisure centre is complete with a heated indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and a sauna, while the local area is also an excellent fishing location.
The Wealden Restaurant is a fine dining experience while the Orangery Restaurant offers a wide range of enticing international and British classics.

Stayed in the annex building which was nice and very clean but was extremely warm. Two twin beds which were fine but slightly hard. The staff were excellent and the food was very good.

A very challenging course and the back 9 was in need of some care. The tee boxes were very worn.

Lovely course which was challenging in the right way. Sadly the round was very slow and tee times were delayed but about 20 minutes.

Green conditions could have been better with seemingly two different types of grass growing on greens.
