Designer John Morgan, once a player on the PGA Tour, carved out some tremendous holes from the towering pines that are so characteristic of the landscape.
The course is compiled from three separate nine-hole loops called the Pines, the Beeches and the Forest, with the different combinations adding welcome variety to a golf break. Regarded as the finest golfing venue in Lincolnshire if not beyond, Forest Pines superb layout is well worth a visit.

The staff were very helpful, check in was smooth, room clean, bed comfortable, food well cooked and the only fault we could make was with the so called crackers that came with the cheese. Still to this day cannot understand why some places think crackers that taste like cardboard are a good thing. There should have been an alternate option.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. However our room was situated as far away from the reception and dining areas as it could have been. The room was in need of an uplift to both the decor and facilities available. The duvet was very thin and the extra pillows were very lumpy.There were no glasses in the bathroom, not even a plastic or paper one. We weren't aware of the supplement for our meal and, while the food was delicious, we felt it was overpriced. Breakfast buffet was adequate but the plates are small. We've stayed here 3 times and have been so disappointed by the apparent fall in room standards that we won't be returning.

Spacious,clean and comfortable rooms. Good choice of food for the 3 course meals. Fantastic newly refurbished sports bar. So good, we have booked for next year whilst we were there.

Really enjoyed this course. Leaves were a problem for finding balls, which led to a slower round than expected, but as light was not going to be a issue it didn't really distract from our game. Certainly enjoyed the course more than the day before. We would recommend this as one of England's top golfing breaks. You need to concentrate on every shot, but the course is very flat, so makes it easier to play your shots.

Everything was in what we were expecting, except with it taking 20/30 minutes longer than the 4 hours the card stated, we ended up playing in very dark conditions. The golf team the next day stated that it was the likely outcome teeing off at the time we did. If that is the known case, I believe the Golf course should not have allowed people out without a warning of the chance they likely wouldn't finish 18, and at a very reduced rate. It did ruin the whole ezxperience for us.

Forest is challenging with some long par 4s. All holes are very tree lined which will cost you a couple shots if you go in them. Pines is more difficult than Forest. Greens are all very undulating and run well.
