Nice hotel, a little isolated.

Nice room but food was expensive and limited choice. Staff not friendly.

Liked the hotel. Room was great. Bars closed a little early for the liking of most people there (including others outside our party), while breakfast wasn't great, although was fairly standard on that score.

Best hotel we’ve used in 26 years of golf trips abroad. Yes a 10 minute taxi ride into Sotogrande marina but that’s a minor inconvenience. Rooms and breakfast good, didn’t have dinner there so can’t comment. Very good restaurant a 10 minute walk away in Midas worth a visit. Understand as access is through the breakfast room but only thing I’d like to change is pool opening before 11.30 that’s when we were picked up every day and not back from golf until 6.45 or later when pool is about to close again. Staff very nice and very helpful would highly recommended.

Excellent superior room and staff were superb. Only slight downside was the dinner menu was somewhat limited and no sides seem to be available. Breakfast spread was fantastic.

Hotel is a little isolated from main port are and requires taxis. Room was comfortable although Bar service was poor and closed early. There was no water delivered every day to the room we had to ask in the restaurant at breakfast. Staff generally helpful and breakfast was identical offering every day but of decent quality.

Only disappointment was that the bar closed very early in the evening (9 pm?) Since there are no other local bars within walking distance this is obviously not ideal. Hotel otherwise clean,efficient and comfortable.

Hotel is great, as is location. Pool, gym and pool bar could do with an update.

Just the perfect location- great rooms and staff

Let's start with the positives. The hotel is very nicely appointed, the rooms are big and comfortable but lack tea and coffee making facilities. Pool area and outside bar very nice. Reception staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent if you don't count that one of the coffee makers broke down every morning. Restaurant staff is a different story. Apart from the restaurant manager none of the waiters/waitresses spoke enough English to communicate anything other than ordering exactly what was on the menu (by pointing at it). If we asked for as much as an extra side salad it was met with consternation. The service was slow and chaotic (think Fawlty Towers and, yes, Manual featured too!!!) we were given food we hadn't ordered, sent it back, only to then be billed for it. The quality of food, which seemed to be good on the nights before everybody came back from the golf course at the same time, also took a nose dive. Neither kitchen staff nor waiters seemed to be able to handle a busy restaurant. Another big minus for the hotel is its location. You literally need taxis/transport where ever you go and a taxi to Sotogrande Marina which is about a 5 minute drive away was charged at EUR15.00 a hit.

Very friendly well appointed hotel. Staff very helpful,however lack of numbers of staff in restaurant and bar reduced service levels despite manager and restaurant staff working hard and desperately trying to serve customers to their best ability. The Your golf travel rep on site Faye was excellent.

Needed more staff on in the restaurant in a evening, otherwise good.

Lovely hotel and staff. The main drawback was not being able to walk anywhere because of the location and roads with no paths.

Fabulous rooms - plenty of space surpassed my expectations. The hotel has been brilliantly refurbished and they have obviously spent loads of money, but the hotel is in desperate need of management. The bar staff were really unhelpful and rude.

Excellent friendly staff and accommodation. Very clean and newly refurbished throughout. Nice pool area although the pool itself opens late (11 am) and closes early (7 pm)

The hotel was comfortable and the staff were excellent and always there to help. The breakfast choice was good with a decent choice for most palates. We didn't eat there in the evening so cannot comment. The hotel is ideally positioned for the main courses you are likely to play. Bars/restaurants are a taxi ride away (always 15 euros!) generally 10/12 minutes

I was pleasantly surprised having read a few mixed reviews about this place. Lovely team, good breakfast, nice bar and a great setting 20 mins to Finca Cortesin and 10 mins or less to the other great courses around here. Comfortable room with its own patio and furniture, great shower and bath. Mini-fridge, kettle, iron and hair-dryer also in the room. There were a couple of sets of steps in my room that could be a problem for some and for some reason the outdoor pool was closed. Generous parking outside. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were a bit outdated, could do with sprucing up, the hotel was short staffed and the poor girls were trying hardest to serve in restaurant and at bar upastairs

The ring was large and comfortable, ideal for my son and myself but it was basic. The window didn’t work properly and having asked them to fix it, it never happened. We simply used it as a b&b so it was fine. Probably would not recommend it or go back.

Big hotel but was virtually empty so it was a very strange experience. Breakfast was poor quality Bedroom was OK but tired On the plus side, we could park anywhere as very few people there !

Comfortable, modern hotel. Ate out every night (as so easy to get to all local amentities) so cannot rate restaurant but breakfast was excellent.
