Irvine Bogside is still much the same as it was when James Braid laid out the original course in 1926. Although it is relatively short compared to its fellow Open Qualifying venues in Ayrshire, Bogside like many other Braid designs demands accuracy and is extremely penal if you stray off-line.

Irvine Bogside Golf Club
With numerous deep bunkers and blind shots, complicated by expanses of gorse and heather, the course is uncompromising and deserves as much respect as any of its nieghbours.
