Located within the Puntacana Resort & Club, La Cana Golf Course offers 27 holes of incredible golf across three loops of nine. Playing up towards and parallel to the Caribbean Ocean, the course is one of the most picturesque in all of Dominican Republic.
Since opening in 2012, the course has welcomed heavy praise, with Golf Magazine likening the layout to Pebble Beach and naming it the best course in the Caribbean. The course is easily accessible from the golfers and guests at Tortuga Bay, The Westin Puntacana Resort and The Four Points by Sheraton.

Designer P.B Dye has created three loops of nine holes at La Cana Golf Course which have become extremely popular due to their stunning location and challenging yet exciting layouts. Named Tortuga, Hacienda and Arrecife the three loops include 14 holes which afford mesmerising views of the idyllic Caribbean Ocean with the closing two holes actually playing directly alongside the coast, making for a breathtaking end to your round. The links style course features many pot bunkers which are reminiscent of Dye’s work elsewhere, with the 7th hole including an astonishing 21 bunkers which are closely clustered together and to be avoided at all costs. Many of the immaculate fairways are surrounded by waste bunkers or some long grass to ensure accuracy from tee to green. However it’s the 12th hole where players are absolutely required to be precise; the 146 yard par-3 features an island green, much like the 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass. La Cana continues the efforts of Puntacana Resort in being environmentally friendly by being the first course in the Caribbean to use the paspalum seeds throughout the course, allowing the fairways, tee boxes and fairways to be watered using sea water.
The magnificent course is completed by an equally sublime clubhouse which was designed by renowned designer Oscar de La Renta. The Los Platanos Bar at the clubhouse is the perfect setting for golfers following their round, allowing them to enjoy a drink or snack in a relaxed environment. La Cana is also home to state-of-the-art practice facilities including a double sided driving range which has its very own teaching area using the latest golf technology. Away from the clubhouse, there are also brilliantly maintained bunkers, greens and short game areas which golfers can use freely.

In very good condition. Liked the fact we could play without a caddy

Not quite in the same league as Corales and Punta Espada. Still a good day out
