3 Nights, 2 Rounds
Set in the rolling countryside of the Costa Blanca, La Finca is the sort of resort that makes a golf break feel easy from the moment you land. You're just over 30 minutes from Alicante Airport, so it works brilliantly for a long weekend, a society tour base or a final-night stay before flying home.
The headline act is the championship course, designed by José María 'Pepe' Gancedo. It's built into naturally undulating ground with the Escotera mountains sitting behind the property, so you get proper scenery as well as a course that asks you to think. There's enough movement in the terrain to keep it interesting, and it's the kind of layout where sensible position beats hero shots more often than not.
Off the course, you've got a 5-star hotel overlooking manicured gardens and the fairways, plus a strong restaurant and the La Finca Spa for recovery days or non-golfers in the group. If you're building a week in Spain, you can also add nearby favourites like Villamartin Golf Club and Golf Las Ramblas for a nice change of pace without spending your holiday in the car.
Who is this for?
Golfers, couples and small groups who want a Costa Blanca base with a genuine championship course, a 5-star hotel and a spa on site, with an easy transfer from Alicante.
Who is it best for?
Players who enjoy strategic resort golf and a well-finished hotel, plus societies who want a reliable set-up that works just as well for non-golfers as it does for 36-hole days.

Golf La Finca has 18 holes designed by the prestigious Spanish designer Pepe Gancedo and features generous fairways and spectacular greens. While playing from the back tees will pose a challenge to the more talented golfer, all standards of player can find their comfort zone from forward tee positions.
In its relatively short existence the course has forged quite a reputation thanks in large part to exciting design features including an island green. The 6,900-yard course features plenty of water so a few spare balls are a must and while not overly long, the nature of the terrain makes walking the course good exercise or maybe take a buggy.
Mount Escotera provides a stunning background to the course and with excellent practice facilities on site, golfers can warm up before their rounds to their heart's content.
La Finca is ranked as one of the best courses in Costa Blanca

While staying at La Finca you can take advantage of the golf academy to improve your skills or warm up before your round on the driving range, chipping area, practice bunkers and putting green
After golf the Club House Terraza is the perfect place to relax, a wide range of snacks, salads, pizzas, sandwiches or hamburgers are on the menu as well as a good range of refreshing drinks.
La Finca Resort offers 120 rooms, each superbly decorated and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The spacious bedrooms feature modern design, bright interiors and thoughtful touches throughout. All rooms come with king-size beds or two double beds, guaranteeing a proper night's sleep after a long day on the course. You'll also find satellite/cable LCD TV, internet access, direct dial telephone and a safety box as standard.
Many rooms include a private terrace where you can step out onto your own sun loungers and take in wonderful views over the golf course, a perfect spot for a morning coffee or evening drink. The layout and finish feel genuinely five-star, with attention to detail that makes the accommodation a highlight rather than just a place to sleep.
Rooms are bright and modern with plenty of space for golf bags, and if you can snag a terrace you'll get a cracking view for a post-round drink. Air conditioning is standard, which matters in the summer months, and the bathrooms are well appointed with rainfall showers and decent counter space. If you've got an early tee time, it's worth asking about breakfast options, the staff are used to golfers running on coffee and a quick bite before heading out.
The hotel sits close to the first tee, so you're not hauling bags across a sprawling resort, and there's secure storage if you need it. Check-in is straightforward even for late arrivals from Alicante, and the reception team can sort buggy hire, practice facilities and any course queries without fuss. It's the kind of place where the logistics just work, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to fit in multiple rounds.
For non-golfers or rest days, the spa is a proper facility rather than an afterthought. Treatments are bookable in advance, and there's a good range of options if you're nursing a sore back or just want to switch off for an afternoon. The pool area overlooks the course and gardens, with plenty of loungers and a relaxed vibe that suits couples and groups equally well.
The hotel's restaurant is one of the better options in this part of Costa Blanca, serving a wide variety of Mediterranean cuisine for lunch and dinner. The menu leans on fresh, local ingredients and the kitchen delivers consistently well across the board. If you're after something lighter, the café offers refreshments throughout the day, ideal for a quick bite between rounds or after a session in the spa.
Beyond golf, the resort caters well for downtime. You can play tennis, cycle the surrounding area, relax in the spa or simply lay by the pool while soaking in the views over the course. Other facilities include paddle tennis courts, a tennis court, heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools with a children's area, a poolside snack bar, sun terrace, gym and steam room. If you fancy heading to the coast, loungers and parasols can be hired on the nearby sandy beach. Diving and sailing are also close at hand for those who want to mix things up off the course.

Fabulous hotel, we had a deluxe room which was spacious. Would recommend car hire due to location & poor taxi service. Would recommend hotel being 5 star provide a shuttle service. Poor menu selection in Hub restaurant. Overall hotel was clean

The 3 of us play of 10 / 9 and found it a test having never played it before but it was cracking. For golfers who struggle / higher handicaps in the 20s or so, I wouldn’t recommend as it would be too difficult. Buggies are a must in the heat

A newish course and it shows in that some of the greens are struggling with the amount of traffic—however the whole place is top quality from the layout, buggies and staff makes it a great experience
