Twin room overlooking the golf course. The room was very clean, beds comfortable and plenty of space !All in all a very pleasant room.

Every member of staff was a delight to talk to and they genuinely seemed to care for our welfare. Food was good and all ticked along on time and well ordered. Only complaint would be that there is no AC in the rooms (however there was a fan) and the beer was £7.90 a pint - and my group drank a lot of them. This was one of the hottest few days every recorded, so not normal circumstances. All-in-all very pleasant.

Disappointing Weekend – Issues with Accommodation, Golf Course and Service Unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable weekend was extremely disappointing, and much of this could have been avoided. Hotel Room Before our stay, we specifically requested no feather pillows due to allergies. We also confirmed this again at check-in and were assured that the room would be completely feather-free. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The quilt and mattress topper contained feathers, and when I removed the topper, there were also a considerable number of loose feathers on the mattress. This caused my wife, who suffers from asthma, to become extremely unwell (she is now on steriods and still unwell several days later). What made the situation worse was the attitude from reception. Rather than acknowledging the issue, we were made to feel as though we had not requested a feather-free room in the first place, despite having clearly made the request and confirmed it again on arrival. I would like to make clear that the housekeeping staff were not to blame. They eventually changed all the bedding and did their best to resolve the situation, but by that point the damage had been done and our break had already been ruined. Golf Courses The Old Course was reasonable. The tees were in poor condition with very little grass, although the greens were responsive and reasonably quick. Unfortunately, the Mather’s Course was extremely disappointing. The tees had virtually no grass and were covered in dust, while there was also very little grass around the greens and on the approaches. The greens themselves were extremely slow, apparently because so much water had been put on them. I fully appreciate the challenges presented by the hot weather and understand that maintaining courses in such conditions is difficult. However, in my opinion, greens, tees and approaches should be the priority areas on any golf course. Fairways can be left as a lower priority when conditions are difficult. Food & Drinks The food itself was very nice and of a good standard. However, the included three-course menu offered very little choice, and the £25 allowance did not go very far when we opted to use the main menu instead. I would also recommend checking your drinks bill carefully. We were overcharged by £4 for a glass of wine. Overall Overall, this was a very disappointing weekend. The problems with the room were particularly concerning given that we had specifically raised the allergy issue in advance and reconfirmed it on arrival. We appreciate that some aspects, particularly the golf course conditions, were influenced by the exceptionally hot weather. However, the issues with the accommodation and the way our concerns were initially handled were avoidable. Unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable break was significantly affected by these issues, and we left feeling very disappointed

This has been the fourth time we've been to St Pierre and we have always found it great value for money. There is a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere at the hotel. Food was very good and staff helpful.

Not good! Room was poor, long way from reception/dining room, too much furniture in a small room making it very cramped. Bathroom was small and in need of some TLC. No net curtains so lack of privacy and overlooked by golfers. one of our worst hotel stays!

Only one bar in the hotel, and when you have circa 40-50 people trying to get a drink (this included a wedding party on the Saturday), with one staff member serving it was ludicrous. Eventually more staff were found, but it was obvious they had not served the public previously. Food generally was poor, very small portions, no bread rolls to accompany starters, very poor main course where the chicken breasts looked more like sparrow breasts (twice mentioned in our after golf chat). On saying that, the breakfasts Sunday were of a better standard.

The rooms were comfortable, with twin beds, good mattresses and toppers. Rooms were clean. However, no fridge to keep anything stored or cool. Nor AC, which made the room very warm. A fan was provided, which took the edge off. Rooms were tidied every day. Plus only able to get a few terrestrial channels on the TV without interference. Unfortunately and disappointingly three of our twin rooms had to move to two suites due to a water leak. This meant that two of the party had to sleep on sofa beds and for the reasons mentioned made the rooms uncomfortable. Some compensation was offered by the hotel and the guests moved back to a twin on the last night. Further lack of communication happened when a dinner reservation was brought forward without the party being informed. The waitress said that one of the party requested it, but we have been doing this trip for 32 years and none of them would do that. The group organiser was not informed prior to the group being searched for a several missing the start of the meal.

A warm welcome. Nice room with a view of the course. It was helpful to have a fan. Easy to find the pool and jacuzzi. Food was good especially breakfast.

We only played 5 holes as storm stopped play, however I enjoyed those I played. We were offered a buggy to go out later, but declined as we were so wet.

The course is in good condition considering the exceptional weather we have endured this summer - not too busy . The green keepers were friendly. I really liked the course and will go back when the yellow turns to green!

The fairways were concrete roads in the heat, which nullified the length and difficulty of the course. No fault of the club. We could see that the course is excellent in normal circumstances. It was like golf on Mars. We enjoyed it all the same and would recommend St Pierre. Hopefully the weather with you is more British than Saharan.

The course was dust and scrub. Not the fault of St Pierre but the course was barely playable with sand and stubble to play off apart from the greens which were perfectly playable. More sand on the fairways and tees than the bunkers? A gentle round to build up to play the Old Course. Again, the unusual heat had blasted the course and we were grateful that it was playable at least. Very hard for greenkeepers to grow grass in a furnace.

Tees were in a bit of a distressed state but perhaps unsurprising given the lack of rain. Putting surface ok though.
