The highly acclaimed golf course at the Poggio Dei Medici resort played host to the Italian Open, on the Ladies European Tour, from 1999 to 2003. The rolling hills of the Mugello region were manipulated skillfully by Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and golf professional Baldovino Dassù to create a fascinating and varied challenge. Immersed in the Tuscan countryside, UNA Poggio Dei Medici boasts lavish accommodation, based around the 16th century Villa di Cignano. With views out over the golf course and the valley beyond, it's a spectacular place to stay, the multiple swimming pools and three great restaurants only add to the experience.

The classically Tuscan lines of poplar trees border the estate, while the raised points of the undulating course afford magnificent views over the valley toward the town of Scarperia.
