Opening in 1999, The Old Course is a premier 18-hole Par 71 layout designed by Roland Favre. It has hosted prestigious events, including the Spanish PGA in 2006 and the Senior and Femino Spanish Championships in 2001.
The course has undergone a few enhancements over the years, featuring the addition of new bunkers, rough areas, and fresh tees, along with various other upgrades. These improvements have not only enhanced the experience for golfers but have also played a significant role in promoting sustainability and ensuring the course blends seamlessly with its natural environment.

The New Course, designed by Ron Kirby, presents a greater challenge than the Old Course, making it perfect for golfers seeking excitement amid stunning desert views. The 9 holes on the New Course can be combined with the Old to offer 3 different golf circuits.
Established in 2008 with updates in 2018, its links-style terrain offers a formidable challenge that demands skill and strategic thinking, especially on the shorter holes where players can score impressively with the right approach.

Overall it was a disappointing stay, the best thing I can say is that the hotel was clean, our towels weren't replaced in the room on any day we stayed, the majority of staff struggled to understand, we were turned away from the bar on multiple occasions to wait for tabke service (which sometimes never came), the quality and selection of food on offer was poor, and one of our golf days was changed significantly without any other option given to us, felt if something wasn't included it was very overpriced, overall not bad but many improvements could be made

In a word, amazing The food at the adult only pool bar in the daytime or have you put on weight because you just will not be able to stop wanting something else of the menu the Service and staff for our incredible my own slight criticism is unfortunately I had single bed and a double would’ve made my stay so much more comfortable so just make sure you get the right bed

Lovely comfortable hotel, nice pools, attractive restaurant with good quality food and multiple choices. Hotel staff really nice and friendly. With on site golf,a very pleasant trip. However, very quiet in the evening(although possibly more entertainment in the height of the holiday season)so the alternative is to taxi out to the nearest resort for bars etc-about 20mins.

Some of the tee boxes need some maintenance but other than that a brilliant course

18 holes were not open. Could only play 9. I would have really liked to play 18 as this course is absolutely mad. I can't imagine who ever thought of this design. Well worth a visit

Just disappointed with the early tee times of 7.30 and 7.40. Was a rush getting breakfast and we were a group of 5 4 balls. There were then 3 sets of 2 balls following us who we obviously held up. They became very rude and nasty. We were all backed up so couldn’t let them through. They then overtook us anyway. So that was the only downside.

If you are not driving well this course can really hurt you. The greens are very tricky and 3 putts are very common

Short but very tough, holes 1, 3 6 and 9 are amazing

The greens were in very good condition as where the tea boxes the course was challenging but fun definitely playable within UK handicap. The fairways were slightly more difficult when chipping due to the type of grass you had to commit to a full wedge shot or bump and run, but you would have to make sure that that bump and rum landed on the shorter edge of the Green because if you left it short, the grass would grab and stop so it be bold with wedges or strong with bump and run and the greens. There’s not as much borrow as you think on most of the holes for fun the third hole on the new course is worth trying to get on the Green in 2

Going forward,I think it might just be a 9 hole addition to the Old Course(27 hole loop). The greens were fast and in good condition;similarly, tee boxes. However, there are ravines so the need to be long and straight is very important or take a lot of balls! Buggies are compulsory so everything’s enjoyable.
