The Biltmore Golf Course is located adjacent to the hotel and was designed in 1925 by the Scotsman Donald Ross, who was one of the greatest golf course architects of his era and was responsible for such courses as Pinehurst No. 2, Oakland Hills and Seminole Golf Club. The 6,800 yard course plays to a par-71 and is highly acclaimed as one of the most superb resort layouts in the South, having always attracted movie stars, sports personalities and dignitaries.
Ross’s golf course designs always carried the characteristics of variety, strategy and naturalness and since its restoration, carried out in 2007 by Brian Silva, once again represents these fantastic traits.
As well as providing its guests with a lovely golf course, Biltmore also offers a full-service golf shop, golf carts equipped with GPS navigation, cart service and snack bar. The 19th Hole Sports Bar & Grill offers a laid back, casual atmosphere as well as great food and a comprehensively stocked bar.
