The Weald of Kent is a magnificently manicured 18 hole parkland golf course which benefits from the charming backdrop of the sweeping views of the rolling hills of the Kentish countryside.
The course opened in 1991 and has since developed into a mature and fascinating track. The par-70 layout measures a respectable 6310 yards from the back tees and incorporates numerous elevations, water hazards and bunkers which are designed to test even the most accomplished golfer; nonetheless the well kept and generous fairways mean that the novice golfer should enjoy the challenge as well.
The golf course prides itself on the fact that it is in superb condition all year round. Even during the winter period they don't use temporary greens or synthetic winter tees, this benefit is down to the hard working green keepers who work tirelessly throughout the year to keep the greens, tees and fairways in a tip-top state.
The Weald of Kent is also able to boast a comprehensive clubhouse; here you can find a bar, restaurant, function suites, conference rooms and a large patio area as well as fantastic views over the golf course and lakes which are contained within it.

The Headcorn Lodge Hotel sits just 100 metres from the clubhouse and enjoys views over the 9th green, which is exactly what you want on a golf break: close enough to be effortless, far enough to feel peaceful. It's a particularly good base for small groups and couples who want everything on one site, with minimal faff getting to and from the course.
Rooms are spacious and finished to a high standard, with large flat-screen TVs, king-size Hypnos beds, Egyptian cotton linen and Duck Island toiletries. There's also an iron and ironing board in every room, handy if you want to freshen up for dinner after 18 holes. A fantastic stay at this hotel with friendly and attentive staff. Lovely outdoor patio area , including an undercover part, with views of the 9th and 18th. Greens in great condition with fairways as expected for this time of year. Really enjoyed and would recommend for a golf break.

Rooms clean and comfortable but a little small, very quiet. Evening meal good but some of our group had to wait quite a while for their meal while others were served and even finished their food before the late meals came out. The meal order was submitted ahead of time and all completed, seems to have been an element of confusion between kitchen and front of house team. Food was good all enjoyed their meal. Breakfast very good, prompt service no delays and quality of breakfasts excellent. Receptionist Naomi first class service, very professional and helpful. Pro shop team very helpful, polite and accommodating.

Fair test for a range of handicaps, greens rolled well & overall in good condition considering hot summer (tees boxes could do with a lower cut & a bit less sand in some bunkers)

Day 1 - slow due to no play through. Day 2- prefect round with great pace. Course management needed for the red stakes which made for a great, interesting round.

Really good condition and a warm welcome at the club shop. First days round was really slow due to slow groups and just how busy it was with groups not letting faster smaller groups through. Second day were stuck behind a group of 4 who were letting there cart driver mate play some of the holes making it 5! Would definitely go back but when quieter.
