Chipping Sodbury boasts an exceptional championship parkland golf course of nearly 7000 yards from the back tees, but a variety of teeing positions, and the easy-walking nature of the course allow all golfers to enjoy the challenge. Water hazards are in play on many holes, but golfers will enjoy the excellent greens, and also the friendly atmosphere and catering in the clubhouse after play.

Being situated around 10 miles from both central Bristol and Bath allows visitors to play Chipping Sodbury while based in either city.

The Chipping Sodbury Golf Club formed in 1905 but it wasn’t until 1971 that it became a parkland 18 holer thanks to the design of Fred Hawtree.

The Beaufort Course is 6994 yards long and offers challenges to all with water hazards featuring on many holes and greens.

In May 2005, the Wissun Course was created, adjoining the main. This is a free 6 hole par 3 course with a practice chipping green and driving range (use of own golf balls required).

Those looking to stay nearby can either stay at the 17th Century market town of Chipping Sodbury or make use of the busy bars and pubs of Bristol, 12 miles away.
