Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel & Spa

Set in 50 acres of rolling Welsh countryside, Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel & Spa blends the character of a 17th-century manor house with the comforts you want on a golf break. You've got period details in parts of the original building, but the overall feel is relaxed rather than formal, ideal if you're travelling with a mixed group and want somewhere that looks smart without being stiff.

For golfers, it's a strong all-rounder. There's free parking, a large indoor pool for a loosen-up swim, a gym if you like to keep the swing muscles ticking over and tennis courts for anyone keen to stay busy between rounds. The big win, though, is how well the hotel covers the post-golf side of the trip. You can head straight from the car park to a drink at the bar, settle into the bistro for a hearty dinner, then finish the day with the spa if you've walked a hilly track.

If you're the organiser, it's the sort of venue that keeps everyone happy in one place. Base yourself here, play great golf nearby, then come back to a peaceful setting where the only decision left is whether it's sauna, swim or second pint. If you want to build this into a hassle-free golf break, we can line up the best local courses and tee times around your dates, then you can focus on the golf and the wind-down afterwards.

Who is this for?
Golfers seeking a comfortable, well-appointed base in South Wales with strong spa and leisure facilities, plus couples and groups who want to combine golf with countryside walks, quality dining and post-round pampering.

Who is it best for?
Mixed-ability groups looking for a sociable, non-stuffy hotel that offers variety beyond the course, and anyone who values a good spa, quality food and a peaceful setting over proximity to nightlife.

Accommodation at Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel & Spa

Cwrt Bleddyn offers 46 individually designed bedrooms, each blending antique furniture with modern amenities to create spaces that feel characterful rather than cookie-cutter. The Heritage Suites retain original period features from the manor house, offering a touch of grandeur for those who want something special, while the Economy Rooms provide a cosy, well-appointed option for golfers who plan to spend most of their time on the course or in the spa.

Every room is designed with relaxation in mind, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day walking the fairways. Expect comfortable beds, well-chosen linens and the kind of details that make the difference between a functional stay and a genuinely restful one.

The Bistro keeps things local, with Welsh produce doing the heavy lifting across the menu. Traditional Welsh dishes sit alongside British classics, all presented with a modern twist in a welcoming, unpretentious restaurant. It's well suited to a post-round appetite, hearty without feeling heavy, and executed with care.

For a more relaxed evening, the bar serves a menu of smaller plates designed for sharing, perfect for groups who want to graze rather than commit to a full sit-down meal. The drinks list features a solid selection of local and imported beers, wines and spirits, making it easy to settle in for the evening without needing to venture off-site.

Beyond the golf, the hotel's leisure facilities are genuinely impressive. The large indoor swimming pool is ideal for a few lengths before breakfast or a gentle cool-down after a round, while the gym is well-equipped enough to keep your routine on track. Tennis courts offer another option for those who want to stay active, and the courtyard provides a quiet spot to sit with a coffee and a scorecard.

The Cwrtium day spa is the standout feature, offering a range of treatments designed to ease tired muscles and restore energy. The spa feels like a core part of the experience rather than a bolt-on, and it's a big reason the hotel is popular with golf groups. Whether you're booking a massage to work out the kinks from a hilly course or simply want to spend an afternoon unwinding, the spa delivers.

The Spa and gym were good. The hotel has no facilities to charge items to your room which is inconvenient. The restaurant doesn’t open in the week so food is served in the bar. Taxis are unavailable from the hotel, the number they suggested wanted £26 for a 3.7 mile journey!
