As a golfer on holiday in the East of England, you’re spoiled for choice with an abundance of really great golf courses around the region. Some favorites include the Constable and Gainsborough courses at Stoke by Nayland. Essex is diverse when it comes to topographical features, but it's also significant in terms of its history. The Essex Golf Union was founded in 1924 with 23 clubs and now has approximately 90 affiliated golf courses throughout the County serving up stern tests for the visting golfer.
