Hotel Fuerte Marbella is about as handy as it gets if you want Marbella on your doorstep. You're right on the seafront, steps from the promenade and an easy stroll into the old town, the marina area and Parque de la Alameda. If your group likes to finish 18 holes then head straight out for tapas, a cold beer and a bit of atmosphere, you're in the right place.
This hotel allows you to do the serious stuff on the golf course, then properly switch off by the sea afterwards. Fuerte Marbella nails that balance. It overlooks the beach, feels calm and well run inside, and you're never far from the buzz if you fancy heading out.
It's a smart base for Costa del Sol golf breaks where the off-course side matters just as much as the rounds. Think beach walks in the morning, golf in the afternoon and dinner somewhere lively without having to organise taxis for everyone. For couples, it's equally straightforward: sea views, a central location and plenty of choice for eating and drinking nearby.
Who is this for?
Golf groups and couples who want Marbella walkability, beachfront downtime and an easy evening scene, all from a well-regarded, central hotel.
Who is it best for?
Anyone who hates being stuck in a resort bubble. If you'd rather walk to dinner, drift between bars or keep things flexible after the round, this location does the heavy lifting.

The hotel has 266 rooms and suites with air conditioning, satellite TV, Molton Brown amenities, Nespresso coffee machines and Wi-Fi, plus the sort of comfortable, uncluttered set-up you want after a long day on the course. Beds are solid, bathrooms are modern and everything feels well maintained. If you can, it's worth looking at sea-view options for a bit more of that Marbella holiday feel, especially for couples.
On the food front, you've got two solid on-site choices. SOLEO is the relaxed beach restaurant, ideal for a long lunch or a post-round drink with the sea right in front of you. Levante is the smarter option for an evening meal, with a more traditional Spanish lean and seasonal ingredients. The big win, though, is that you're also surrounded by independent places in town, so you can keep every night different without planning a complicated route.
Facilities are geared towards downtime rather than being a full-on resort complex. There are two outdoor pools on the ground floor for an easy swim and a sun lounger session with a rooftop pool open at seasonal times, plus a gym if you want to loosen up before teeing it up again. Service is consistently attentive, which matters when you're travelling as a group and want things to run smoothly. The hotel also offers a Spa by Clarins where guests will discover a sanctuary designed to awaken their senses, restore their wellbeing and enhance their natural beauty.
If you need early breakfasts, help arranging transfers or golf-friendly logistics, it's the sort of hotel that's used to guests being on a schedule. We can help line up tee times and transfers to suit your group, so you're not juggling logistics when you should be thinking about the next matchplay point.

Very well appointed and equipped hotel. It's proximity to the beach and the old town is second to none. Breakfast buffet was great with large variety of options and excellent egg station. Room was large clean but a bit stuffy as the hotel aircon was not on due to it being early in the season yet hot as early summer.

This is a very good hotel, ideally placed near the old town and close to the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent, with good quality fruit and a wide range breads, meats, cheeses doughnuts etc. to cater for all tastes.

We normally stay in sister hotel Amara but each time we have they show us to a tiny bed room and then u have to pay extra to move to a decent room this same line was used in this hotel and after much argument we were moved to a bigger room at no extra cost. I think this line of sale should be highlighted as I find it most annoying

Very nice hotel. Great location. Rooms are a little stuffy, AC either didn’t work or wasn’t very good. But very nice place to stay
