Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve

Our accommodation was absolutely lovely, it wasn’t the hotel we was allocated when booked because when we arrived it was being refurbished so we was taken to the Hilton Vilamoura. This hotel was great but it was a 20min walk to the marina. They did have a shuttle service to and from the marina.

Our group of 10 stayed at Dom Pedro Vilamoura for two nights. The reception and bar areas were welcoming and up to a good standard. Breakfast was plentiful, with a self-serve buffet offering a wide variety, including continental, cooked options, fruit, and cereal. The rooms were spacious, though they felt a little tired and could use some updating. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with good amenities for our group, and we would happily stay again.

Nice hotel in a prime location.

This Hotel was ok . The room was basic although confortable. The shower room made available for us after checking out to get freshened up before departure wasn't nice at all. Dirty , bins not empty , no toliet paper , floors dirty towel on floor. Had a quick shower as other people used toilet 2 feet across. The staff where mostly very nice and very helpful. Breakfast very nice

from the moment we arrived all the staff were helpfull, friendly and willing to assist in any way they could, only a few minutes walk from the busy marina, the room was cleaned daily and was perfect for our needs, the bar and restaurant was excellent, food in particular was varied and good quality

Hotel was good. Please note that our pick up was 30 mins late and 4 people with clubs were squeezed into a car, very disappointing start to the holiday. Rtn journey on time with a mini bus.

Staff really were extremely helpful and everyone enjoyed their stay.

Good stay at Dom Pedro - excellent transfers to courses organised by the reception. This is very much a golf oriented hotel which means pools , grass areas and Sunbeds are empty for majority of stay. Rooms are adequate and clean but the air conditioning is poor even for April . Food excellent and restaurant fine. The staff are excellent and very helpful. Probably the hotel needs updating but for groups of people there for the golf it’s adequate.

Perfect hotel and location for a group of us golfers. Rooms were good and clean. The breakfast had plenty of choice. Even used the sauna and spa. Staff were always very helpful .

The hotel is basic. Nice location. Spacious but not that comfortable, outdoor furnishings not good quality. Everything appears to have been provided on a low budget. Reception staff were very pleasant. BAR STAFF WERE AWFUL.

Hotel is in a great location in town and is only a short walk away from the various bars/restaurants around the marina, which is great but there are a few things that brought the overall hotel experience down. I know this might sound cheap but when you’re selling yourself as a 4 star hotel and you’re paying for that, you don’t really expect to have to pay for the use of the room safe or to have to pay for the tea coffee in the room (I get paying for the contents of the minibar of course but this is the first time I’ve ever seen charges for tea coffee). We were only on bed and breakfast so can’t comment on other meals served but I’m not sure the hotel know what a “hot” cooked breakfast is as all the food was lukewarm at best, even the fresh plates coming out of the kitchen. The other thing worth noting is that, if you have an early tee time and require transportation, you might want to consider hiring your own car or arranging your own taxi to get to the course in time. For example, the hotel ask you to give 1 hour plus notice for a transfer from hotel to course. With that in mind, we diligently got to reception at 06:45 for an 08:00 tee time only to be told they can’t ring for pickup until 07:00 and then get told it’s a 15-20 minutes wait. Transport turns up at 07:25 and is dropping somebody off at another course first so we didn’t get to our course until 07:45 which meant we had to walk straight onto the 1st tee and no opportunity to use the practice facilities, which was less than ideal. Also regarding early tee times - as breakfast only starts at 07:00 in the hotel, don’t expect to be able to make use of the offering given the pick-up times involved. We practically had to beg for a “to go” coffee from the restaurant…. Thankfully our other tee times were later which meant that the above (both the rush to the course and the inability to get breakfast) was a one off but you might want to make folks aware of these so they can be considered when they’re booking as not everyone does as much research into things as me….

Actually this hotel is a bit too far away from the Marina than we'd like. Also the room was smaller than we expected and a bit tired looking. The staff were friendly and helpful enough but we did have some issues with the loyalty card and getting them to sort out the problem we had.

Comfortable twin room, excellent breakfast and free courtesy shuttle to all 5 courses.

Fantastic hotel a short walk to the marina with some great restaurants and bars.

Perfct location, 5 minutes walk from marina and all other Vilamoura amenities. Twin rooms more than adequate for our requirements (12 in group). Quality of breakfast also good with plenty of choice. Staff helpful and shuttle bus service to all 3 courses also worked very well.

Ideally situated for everything. Comfortable beds, nice pool and bar area and helpful staff. We only chose breakfast - buffet style loads to choose from couldn’t fault the quality. Few panics with early starts though. Nothing happens before 7.00am. If you book to play before 8 it will be tight getting to the course on time and definitely no breakfast

Well functioning hotel just a short walk from the Marina. Pleasant gardens with large pool and plenty of seating.

Well appointed room on the top floor. Breakfast and daytime snacks ok ( would have liked to have seen an egg chef at breakfast for omelets and hot scrambled egg). Pool and grass area lovely for sunbathing. Entertainment good with sports and aerobics.

This hotel was perfect for the 8 of us, reasonably priced drinks and friendly staff, transfers to course was spot on and rooms clean and tidy ..

Decent hotel in good location walking distance to the main sites. Free (we’ve paid for it in our room rate so not free) shuttle service to golf courses is a bit of a joke - you’re told to order ahead but they don’t take a group name just size and there are a ton of groups wanting the lifts at the same time. Good luck getting one on time. Sometimes you’re told to order an hour ahead, sometimes when you need it. Doesn’t really matter it always takes 45 minutes so factor that in. Decent breakfast in fairness.

Perfect hotel, close to the bars and restaurants of the marina and 5 mins in the shuttle bus the Vilamoura courses. Note you have to allow 30-40 mins for the shuttle bus to arrive at busy times. We were lucky that the weather was great hence could use the outdoor swimming pool

The hotel was very good and has I think had a recent major refurbishment. A good variety at breakfast. Rooms were cleaned daily. Those who used the pools enjoyed them.

A very good experience - but we hired bikes and were not allowed to keep them in the hotel storage (a decision made half way through our stay) instead were kept in garage in their hotel over the road, just a bit of a hassle. However can’t really fault the holiday.

Hotel was only a third full over the Christmas period, so staff were attentive. Evening entertainment was dull, food adequate, very convenient for walking to marina and beach.

Hotel was good. Location excellent close to Marian and beach. Only one niggle was we went to breakfast a few minutes before 7am just before going off to golf but waiter would not let us until just after 7am even though every thing was ready. Could not adjust air conditioning in room. Everything else was lovely

Nice hotel, great value for money, perfectly located. The shuttle service booking wasn’t great, on one occasion we had to get a taxi to avoid missing our tee time.

Just a place to get our heads down most of the trip but the spa came in handy on the last day to help kill some time after our last round of golf. Rooms were perfect and the breakfast was great. Hotel staff were great too.

Central to all amenities,highly recommended.
