1 Night, 2 Rounds
Set in 54 acres of manicured Warwickshire parkland, around 12 miles from Birmingham, Lea Marston Hotel is a handy option if you want a change of scene without committing to a long drive. It's particularly useful for a quick one or two-night golf break where you want everything on-site and easy to reach.
The big appeal is having it all in one place. You can nip out for a nine-hole loop, then head straight into the health club for a swim or a session in the Klafs sauna and steam room. If you're travelling as a couple or a small group, the spa is a strong bonus, with a mud rasul, hydrotherapy bath and treatment rooms that make it easy to turn a golf stay into a genuine switch-off.
Food and drink are straightforward to sort too, with two spots to choose from. The Brasserie suits an easy dinner after your round, while Hathaways is ideal for something more relaxed, pint included.
For organisers, it's a simple base. You've got Birmingham close by, plenty of parking and enough facilities to keep everyone happy even if the weather turns. If your group likes to mix golf with downtime, Lea Marston is a solid all-rounder.

Rooms at Lea Marston are spacious, modern and geared towards comfort after a day on your feet. Expect crisp cotton duvets, en suite bathrooms and complimentary toiletries, plus free WiFi throughout the hotel. Views look out over the golf course or the gardens, which adds a nice sense of space and helps the hotel feel set back from the road.
Room options range from standard doubles through to larger suites. If you're travelling as a couple and want a bit more breathing room, a suite is worth considering for the extra living space, particularly on a longer stay where you'll appreciate somewhere to unwind between golf and dinner.
For groups, the practical side is what matters. Rooms are close enough to the main facilities that you're not trekking across a resort to get to breakfast, the gym or the bar. That makes the stay feel easy, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to keep a society trip running smoothly.
If you're planning early tee times, the quiet setting in the grounds is a real plus. It's the sort of place where you can get your head down and be fresh for the first swing of the day. And if the weather does its usual British thing, you've still got plenty on-site to keep the trip enjoyable, from the pool and spa pool to the sauna and steam room.
The layout and finish are designed with comfort in mind, giving you enough space to spread out and settle in after a round. The en suite bathrooms are well appointed, and the inclusion of complimentary toiletries means you can pack lighter if needed. The contemporary aesthetic is clean and unfussy, which keeps the focus on relaxation rather than unnecessary frills.
The Brasserie serves as the hotel's main restaurant, offering a wide-ranging menu prepared by an experienced kitchen team. Dishes cover the classics and do the job nicely after 18 holes, with enough choice to keep things interesting over multiple nights. The setting is relaxed but polished, making it suitable for both casual dinners and more formal occasions.
Hathaways provides a more informal alternative, with an extensive menu of lighter dishes and traditional pub favourites. It's the kind of place where you can drop in after a round without needing to change, order something straightforward and enjoy a pint in comfortable surroundings. The menu is broad enough to cover most tastes, from sandwiches and salads to heartier mains, and the atmosphere is welcoming without being overly casual.
Between the two dining options, there's flexibility to match your mood and schedule. Whether you're after a three-course meal in The Brasserie or a quick bite in Hathaways, the quality remains consistent and the service is attentive without being intrusive. For golfers staying multiple nights, the variety ensures you won't feel like you're eating the same thing twice.

The stay was great, Staff in Hathaway bar were really accommodating and helpful. Only problem was one of our party didn’t have a room allocated and had to purchase his own room which we’d already paid for. This could have been an issue between Golf travel & Hotel ?

The hotel was adequate, however the dining facilities were woeful and the food very average. The staff generally were helpful and pleasant, except in the main bar on the second evening. The hotel now looks very dated and a little tired. We would not go back.
