Considering the weather we had the course was in good condition

A lot of Typhoon damage with lots of trees destroyed and the netting at various locations all around the course; Taking this and the volume of rain the area has had the whole group thorough enjoyed the course

Nice course, some tree damage from the recent tornado, but enjoyed playing here.

As per Gramacho

Course fine. Tee times 13.15, too late. Impossible to get 18 holes in as it was dark at 17.00. Only managed 13 holes!!! Too many four balls booked in course! Too many hold ups as course was inundated with too many golfers! Shuttle bus not running after 16.00!!! Had to pay taxi to get back to Residence

Only call out was not being able to get any food pre round We had a 10.30 tee time and went earlier to have breakfast which didn’t start till after 10 We ate post round and the food was very good though

Couple of really quirky holes but good for holiday golf

We felt that Val De Pinta was tougher than Gramacho but maybe we didn’t play as well. Again a well laid out design with a different variety of holes. We were paired and played one of our rounds there with Andy and Paul who are members at the course. They were excellent company and made the day more enjoyable. We will be back in future

Great day Golfing

In need of a good watering. Still enjoyed the course and the the staff were great.

The very large bunkers around the greens were a source of frustration! The overall feel of the course and the challenge were just right. The grass off the greens and the fairway needed a different style of play to the UK. Hard ground, leaving no divots and difficult to compress the shot. Greens were bare and fast.

We enjoyed the course but players definitely need a buggy. Didn’t tee off until 11:33 and can’t pre-book buggy so a little worrying. The four ball in front must have been novices and their poor play made a very long day. Course a bit of a challenge on certain holes but really.

Lots of bunkers make this course a different challenge to the Gramacho course. It is a more forgiving layout than Gramacho as long as you can stay out of the sand. Not that the bunkers are inhibitors, it can lengthen a hole very quickly when having to play out of them though. The greens are true and slower than the Gramacho course. A very enjoybale course to play and the on-site facilities are great as well.

Same as Gramacho.

Personally my favourite, but all good, we even had one of our players ace the 17th

Good fun course that has a lot of interesting holes.

A very tough test in the wind, although not too long the course was very up and down with many blind shots from tee to green.

Nice course but no carts were available. Very difficult to walk. Lots of hills. Would not recommend unless golf carts are provided.

Challenging course with some very interesting holes.

A fantastic course! Lots of challenging holes again with fantastic greens. Clubhouse is a little bit soulless and they could probably use the space better. But the course itself was fantastic

Lovely course in great condition. Sadly overnight storms had flooded the bunkers, but not much they could do about that.

Nice open front nine, allowing big bombs off the tee, but a tighter back nine, with some tricky slopes. Challenging track with some outstanding greens. Condition was first class and staff were super friendly. Definitely be back to play here

1st time on the course- great game

We played Pinta twice during our stay. The Monday and the Saturday. Unfortunately on our first round the European Disabled Golf Association (EDGA) had a major competition in play and had the course booked out from 08:30 through to 10:30, our tee time. There were the inevitable delays and they were running 30 to 40 mins behind time so the starter sent our 3 x 4-Balls off the 10th tee first at 10:30, which meant we had an excellent 9 holes but a total nightmare on our last 9 holes (the course front nine) with us being squeezed in to the scheduled booked tees at the time we returned to the 1st tee. We literally waited several minutes before being able to play each shot on every hole, and longer when the players in front had trouble finding their golf balls, due to the difficulty of the course, it happened a lot! This really made the round very frustrating and less enjoyable than it would have otherwise been! Everything else about the course itself, the facilities and the staff was absolutely excellent. Learning is don’t play a course on the same day as a major competition is in full swing! Avoid, which is very easy to do due to the many other excellent courses available, if you’re forewarned. One for your golf travel to take on board at the time of scheduling bookings! We were actually due to play our final round on Gramacho the following Saturday but the staff at Pinta highly recommended we changed to a different course because the EDGA were again playing their final on that day at Gramacho. Luckily we were able to switch to Pinta, albeit at a later start time of 12:00 noon. Suspect that wouldn’t have been possible had we been playing later in the golfing season.

Poor practice areas. Course lacking tlc. For instance, tee markers and directional signs looking very poor. But at the end of the day, they fill the tee times whatever so no point offering course in best condition. Not a patch on Spains courses.

a great golf course in lovely condition a real pleasure to play. the only downside was that buggies were not available to pre order and it was just if they had any spare at your time of tee off. they were also very expensive. there was also 1 cart with drinks for the two courses so we would only see them once right at the end of our round. they also carried no water. 5 hour round in buggies. it is to be expected at a resort but was a little slower than expected.

Enjoyable round greens ok but again it’s lazy players who don’t repair their pitch marks can’t blame the course.

Typical holiday golf - wide open fairways and relatively short. In decent condition, apart from the greens, which were poor. That said, it's low season for golf and hence maintenance time so no complaints.

Played this course a few times and it was as good as ever. really well maintained and enjoyable. Just needs a halfway house or a buggy driving around with drinks or something

Course and greens were in very good condition. Only problem is the slow play. Average rounds were taking 5/5.5 hours. After we played we got told that it is usually quieter late afternoon. (We played at 10 am)

It is a nightmare trying to Book a buggy. You cannot book a buggy in advance. so when we got there we were told they had no buggies. not a great start when you e-mail the course saying one of your group is not able to walk 18 holes

Beautiful course, nice condition and good greens. We were a 4 ball playing early pm and although fairly decent pace to start with became really slow after the first 9. Took at least 5 hours. A tough course with loads of bunkers. Fairly lengthy green to tee. We had pull trolleys but really needed a buggy or electric trolley. Enjoyed it but was pretty tired after!

The course is a good walk with a few uphill climbs to make.Standout holes are 4th and the 18th.The course is busy but the greens are in great condition being tricky and fast.

Same experience as Silves, we’d have to join two others, said no and the guy was so accommodating and understanding. Allowed us to go as 3 x 3.

same as before too much up and down and many holes around houses, back nine were much better and a beautiful 18th hole, but we also would not recommend it necessarily and many other golf course much better for experienced golfers

All good, although no one is a fan of the very long 18th for very obvious reasons. Argh!

Great track but if you can hit the ball, go whites or blacks. Great green complexes...would play again very happily...

Very hot summer has affected the course.

As with so many courses a fourball can do 9 holes in 2 and a bit hours, but then it all slows up to send up with another 5+ hour round finishing in the dark.

Greens were allot worse than gramacho. Tricky course but enjoyable. With the condition of the greens I think it would be slightly disappointing for some people.

The greens were the worst any of us have ever had the displeasure of putting on! They were atrocious, to the point actual root systems were growing through! They were cut to the height of a tight fairway. After suffering poor greens, slow play, no drinks/food buggy we were confronted with a closed bar and potential 90min wait to be collected! (Thankfully transfer times could be moved) Wouldn’t not go back here until big improvements made.

Great course and a good challenge. It was in really good condition and the club house was very decent too.

This was my favourite round of the trip. The course was kept very nicely and was playing really well.

First round of the trip enjoyable round for all handicap levels 2-20.

Vale de Pinta is also a favourite course and we enjoyed playing it.

I loved this course. Beautifully manicured with superb views. Many quirky holes with well maintained, true greens. No on course refreshments but still a joy to play

It was quick because we were first out. We walked and didn’t have anyone up behind us. A few long walks from green to tee. Greens were good and we all enjoyed the course. Club house was nice and staff friendly.

Played early April. Course not too busy. There are some really well designed holes. Very enjoyable round Only issue was the course had booked us for the Gramacho course, but was able to change as we had fairly late tee time

Kept us waiting and even put 2 groups whos tee times were later than ours in front of us resulting in a five and a half hour round! Ridiculous

My favourite course of the 3 we played. Picturesque and well designed.

Terrible, dismissive attitude of pro shop ladies checking people in. Long queues and chaos over buggy availability or not. We finally had our requested buggy about 5 mins before our tee time, despite we had arrived over an hour beforehand.

Plenty of buggies, which were needed, long walks between holes and hilly

Greens were a little damaged due to lack of water and not running true, apart from that course was in good condition although not as nice as gramacho Price of buggies are high but walkable

What can I say about this course, we've been going too the Algarve for 27yrs and must have played Pinta at least 15 times,the condition is always fantastic. My favourite course. 10/10

The facilities after golf were poor. The food choice was extremely limited and the drinks not up to scratch. A disappointment after Silves and Gramacho!!!

Second time we played extremely slow round and need Marshall telling people to get a move on. Love course in good condition with good facilities. Recommended

Club house is cold and soulless and the course was in reasonable condition. Greens were spoilt by people not repairing their pitch marks. A lot of blind drives and if the group behind are long hitters and ignorant then you can easily be hit as we were on several occasions. But under normal circumstances the course is enjoyable.

Very much enjoyed this course as well and perhaps a fraction easier than the Gramacho. This was in part due to the Greens being a fraction slower and a little more manageable. Once again, the Clubhouse facilities and staff in the bar and restaurant, not as good as at the Gramacho.

In spite of heavy rain at times, we enjoyed this course!

No problems, go every year and will do so again . Bit annoyance at start as Starter kept disappearing and after telling us to go tee off early then sent two three balls to tee off in front of us , one of which was very rude… black mark …but we will return

Decent course,staff were horrible after 1 of our buggies broke,they just made 2 lads go back to the reception fill out some paperwork then told them to get out and no replacement or refund,disgusting.

Such a slow round at one point there were 3 lots waiting on the par 3's because of some once in 6 month sunday golfers the greens were very poor but other than that the sun was out.

Pinta was the best condition for several years. We have always commented that Gramacho was the better condition of the 2, but Pinta was very good. No complaits whatsoever. Well done to the green keeping staff.

Could do with lockers for visitors. Nowhere to put shoes etc.

Nice course for holiday golf, some greens were in need of TLC as were the bunkers on some holes. Layout is very good - could be a cracking course.

Very pretty course with lots of really nice and challenging holes. Allowed us to play in 2 three balls. Would definitely play here again even though greens were covered in pitch marks. Probably down to visitors who don’t care. Again staff were all very nice and welcoming!

The better of the 2 courses on the complex (Gramacho the other). Thankfully no problem with buggies to far to walk round.

Good course, could do with more signage/marker posts though as some times it wasn't clear exactly where to go and where the trouble was.

Nice course to play but a lot of walking and a lot of hills. We didn't take a buggy the first time we played it and I staggered off the course, it was a much nicer experience the next time when we took a buggy.

No complaints at all just not quite as good as Gramacho.

Golf course was great but unfortunately no food offering at all otherwise I'd have rated it better.

A good test of golf on a well balanced and varied layout. It was in excellent condition and the greens were perfect too. Easy to see why it's held Staysure events here, it was challenging from the yellow tees and from the blacks it looks even more of a stern a test.

Five hour round. Full of people who should not be allowed out the house let alone on a golf course

Lovely course and very enjoyable experience had all round. Nice facilities and friendly staff too. This course we rated second of the four courses we played on our trip. Great views lovely fairways. We will definitely return.

Excellent course in great condition. A bit hilly but a good mix of uphill and down hill holes using elevated tees. Would definitely play it again!!

Fantastic condition dispite all rain just before our arrival. Green start slow and get faster as they dry out.

Another really enjoyable course some excellent holes and all the party managed to score points. Great par 3's with elevated tees and really interesting holes. Throughly enjoyed our golf here.

Vale de Pinta is a nice course, but unfortunately for us the greens had recently been dressed so they were very slow and unpredictable. There was not a great greeting by the staff. No one was rude but then no one was that friendly from receptionist to caddy master. I would not play there again.

Course was very hilly and made some holes hard but was a good challenge and greens and fairways was really good and everything was good club house was nice

Similar comments the the Gramacho course i.e.: We were a party of 7 ranging from a handicap of 9 through to 28. A good test with some some holes offering great views. The only negative was the bunkers that seemed all to be very hard sand.

Very hard and unpleasant course to play. Extreamly slow, we stopped after 10 holes as we totally lost patience.

Loved playing Pinta. Undulating fairways, severe dog-legs, tight fairways in places and bunkers you could take a beach holiday in.

Easy to see why this course is used for the Senior circuit. Beautiful course, lightening quick greens, great mixture of par 3, 4 and 5 holes.

the course was lots better than last year, we had a great day. Beer 5 euro's a pint little expensive bar could have been a little friendlier. pro shop! the staff from behind the counter to the gent that got our pull trolley's where great! very friendly. Buggies & electric trolley's just to expensive.

what another stunning course too. out of the 3 courses we played, I think this was my favourite..(just). some holes we found where challenging as being the first time we played we couldn't be aggressive, but next time we play we can. great course again...

Competent and friendly staff, a slick operation.

Was ok , condition definitely early season but acceptable. Staff ok apart from the “big I am” starter who obviously loves being in charge...absolutely no need for that

Has allways been a test of Golf. Greens could have been better / quicker. And so could the round as it took 5hrs 10 minutes to complete. Lack of rangers to prompt slow players.

We like the course . However It seems to us that to speed up play they have moved a number of the yellow tees forward thus making the course easier and quickerto play . Not really happy about this

pestana do not allow you to reserve buggies even if you offer to pay for them there was a last minute scramble to get us buggies

The steward went out to speed the course up as we were very slow at one point. The course itself is great with some beautiful holes and the clubhouse also.

Very enjoyable Golf Course. The greens were a little slow, but a good layout with a nice variety of holes. Most of our group scored well and we used most clubs in the bag as there are a good variety of shots to play We would all play it again
