Secret Valley Golf Club is tucked into a scenic valley within easy reach of Paphos and the Aphrodite Hills area, so it's a handy option if you want another quality round without trekking across the island. The big draw is the setting. You feel nicely tucked away in the folds of the landscape, yet you still get cracking views out towards the mountains and, on the right holes, the sea.

The Tony Jacklin Signature course is a par 71 that's fair, but it doesn't let you switch off. The routing makes good use of the natural contours, with holes sliding along the valley floor before climbing to elevated tee shots where the wind can suddenly have a say. It's not just about bashing driver either. You'll be hitting plenty of approach shots to well-defended greens, with bunkers and run-offs ready to punish anything that's a touch loose.

Secret Valley suits golfers who enjoy a bit of thinking on every hole. Shape it both ways, take your medicine when you miss the wrong side and you'll score. The par 3s are a real highlight, especially when you're carrying the ball across a valley to a green that looks smaller than it actually is.

Carved into the mature woodland and remarkable rock formations of the local landscape, Secret Valley (5,989 yards - par 71) is a tranquil and charming place to enjoy a round. In recent years, significant renovation and improvements have been carried out, which have improved the course's condition markedly.

Conveniently located for access from Paphos, Secret Valley is certainly worth including in the itinerary for your next golf holiday to Cyprus. With excellent value green fees available for those exploring the other courses in this area which include Aphrodite Hills, Elea Golf Club and Minthis Hills Golf Club, this is a superb place to enjoy a golf holiday on testing golf courses with almost guaranteed sunshine.

The course recently appointed Troon Golf to provide full management services of Secret Valley so golfers can expect a level of service that is seen at a host of stunning golf locations across the globe, ranging from Abu Dhabi Golf Club in the UAE to Trump Turnberry in Scotland.

Fantastic layout out down the valley for the front nine and back nine back to the clubhouse. Some great holes and a an excellent choice of tee boxes to suit all abilities.
