Set in the heart of historic Chantilly, the Mercure Chantilly Resort (formerly Dolce Chantilly) is a handy base for a French golf break with Paris within easy reach. You've got the best of both worlds here: a proper resort set-up with plenty to do on site, plus the option to nip into the capital for culture, shopping and a serious meal if you fancy it.
The headline act is the resort course. It's a links-influenced layout that feels pleasantly open for an inland track and at 6,781 yards it's long enough to keep you honest without turning your holiday into a slog. It's also walkable, with relatively flat terrain, so it suits mixed-ability groups and anyone trying to squeeze in 36 without wrecking themselves.
Off the course, you're covered. There are indoor and outdoor pools, plus a sauna, jacuzzi, gym and tennis courts for anyone who likes to keep moving after the round. Chantilly itself is worth a wander too, with its château and famous horse racing heritage right on the doorstep. The transport links to Paris are straightforward, making evening trips into the city perfectly doable if you want to combine golf with a bit of proper French dining.
Weekend supplements apply, so do ask for the details when you enquire.

Set amidst the lovely rural landscape just North of Chantilly, the course features great varieties of flora and fauna, while parts of the estate are covered with stunning woodland.
The Garden Golf Foret de Chantilly par-72 layout is known for its impeccable condition, particularly during the summer months, and is a real joy to play during your golf holiday at this wonderful resort.
The Mercure Chantilly Resort has 200 rooms and suites, with a private balcony looking out over the course or surrounding forest. Rooms are bright and practical, with climate control, satellite TV, minibar, workstation, internet access and a safe. The Accor group's backing has helped establish Chantilly as one of the better golf destinations around Paris, with standards you'd expect from a major international hotel brand.
The resort is also a strong conference option, with 32 meeting rooms fitted with modern AV and meeting facilities. That makes it a sensible choice for corporate golf events where you need reliable facilities both on and off the course, without worrying about whether the hotel side of things will hold up.
Leisure facilities are well sorted. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools give you options whatever the weather, while the sauna, jacuzzi and well-equipped gymnasium help you unwind after your round. Tennis courts are also available if you fancy a change of pace, and the whole set-up is geared towards groups who want a bit of variety beyond just playing golf.
Dining is led by Chef Dorian Wicart in the Donatello Bistromic restaurant, the resort's premier gourmet kitchen. La Veranda offers both à la carte and buffet options overlooking the golf course, perfect for a relaxed meal with views. Le Swing in the clubhouse serves light snacks and meals, while the Piano Bar pours fantastic wines and cocktails alongside a good cigar menu.
Paris sits close enough for evening trips into the city if you want to make the most of being in France. Among the capital's endless list of restaurants and brasseries, Le Dôme stands out as quintessentially Parisian. The Art Deco dining room specialises in fresh seafood, with oysters and sole meunière (sole in butter, lemon and parsley) among the firm favourites. It's the sort of place that reminds you why Paris remains a global culinary capital, and it's worth the trip if you've got an evening free.

Room was comfortable. Not enormous but fine. Shower over the bath was a bit tricky - a walk-in shower would have been preferable. Staff were excellent. Restaurant was fully booked but we had snacks in the pool area. Breakfast was quite amazing. So much choice. Delicious.

We stayed here on a four day golfing for three nights on a B&B basis. However we did have Dinner in the hotel on two nights. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, the beds were very comfortable. The towels were changed each day. The drinks in the bar were expensive by English Gold Club standards but all hotels load their drinks prices. The buffet was exceptional ! The two dinners were from a 'set menu' for the Sixteen in our party, again good quality no one went hungry !! The hotel is about two miles NE of Chantilly, easy to find. Large car parking areas and WiFi was free. I would recommend the hotel.
