Set in the foothills of the Sintra mountains, Belas Clube de Campo is a smart pick if you want quality golf with Lisbon's coastline on tap. You're within easy reach of Sintra's palaces and viewpoints, plus the beach towns of Estoril and Cascais, so it works brilliantly for a long weekend where not everyone in the group wants golf from dawn to dusk.
On-site you've got the essentials covered with a modern spa and wellness offering, tennis courts and relaxed clubhouse facilities for a post-round drink or an easy meal. It's the kind of place where you can play, recharge and head back out, rather than losing time bouncing between venues.
Travel-wise, you're close enough to mix a couple of rounds with sightseeing and seafood by the sea. Expect roughly 30 minutes to the coast in normal conditions, with a little more time at peak hours. If you're building a Lisbon-area itinerary, we'd usually pair Belas with another coastal course to add variety, then let the non-golfers enjoy Sintra and the promenade at Cascais.
Who is this for?
Golfers who want a strategic, tree-lined test near Lisbon, plus couples and mixed groups who'll use the spa, tennis and easy day trips to Sintra and the coast.
Who is it best for?
Mid to low handicappers who enjoy plotting your way round, groups planning a 2 to 4 night Lisbon break and anyone wanting golf and sightseeing in the same base.

The par-72 golf course is widely regarded as one of the best in Lisbon with an excellent technical layout, with a great variety of holes that demand both skill and tactical play. The course measures 6,977 yards, and provides outstanding views of the surrounding Carregueira Mountains. Belas itself can be viewed in two distinct sections; the opening stretch traverses the natural, unspoiled landscape, while the closing holes are cut through the stunning villas of the residential development.
The delightful course will be a challenge for every visitor, while it remains playable for the average golfer, and is an ideal destination for a round during your golfing holiday in the greater Lisbon area.

Staff and course were great, some of the buggy paths need some TLC.

Course has an opportunity to be very good but quality of bunkers, pitch marks on greens, divots on fairways not replaced. It Felt unloved. But enjoyed the different types of holes it had to offer.

Buggies highly recommended as a number of 'journeys' between holes. Course has some excellent holes that are well designed and enjoyable.
