The Kigbeare Course is The Ashbury Hotel and Resort’s flagship golf course. Measuring 6,528 yards from the back tees, it’s not overly long by modern standards, but long enough to make playing to its par of 72 a significant challenge even for the most experienced golfers. Fairways are treelined so accuracy from the tee is paramount while rolling fairways can test the golfer with uneven lies which make approach play into the large undulating greens a tricky proposition. Well placed hazards add to an enjoyable yet testing examination of your golf skills.
The signature hole on the Kigbeare Course comes early in the round at the Par 3 3rd. Measuring over 200 yards from the championship tees, this exciting Par 3 features an elevated tee, perched some 50 feet above the level of the green.

The 6,400 yard Pines Course plays to a par of 72 and is the second-longest course at The Ashbury Hotel & Resort. The Par 4 4th hole on the Pines Course is widely regarded as the signature hole. Driveable for longer hitters, this tempting little hole features a water hazard that stretches back some 120 yards from the front edge of the putting surface. Great golf courses, a golf Mecca! The resort is a rabbit warren of corridors and rooms and differing accommodation. Staff are sometimes vague. It doesn't feel like a hotel, more like an all inclusive adult school trip. If you love golf and are happy to eat buffet all inclusive (no complaints if you know what to expect) and maybe are travelling as part of a large group on a budget fill your boots! Quaint it ain't!
Devon Dynasty Cup 2025 was a wonderful break away! We all enjoyed the stay and the facilities!
The accommodation was fine but paid for breakfast lunch and dinner didn’t get any lunch was meant to have 2 but none as you can’t have it on departure day and the tee times were at lunch time so Friday was a 6hour round Saturday 6hour round so missed both lunches which I think is very poor organisation but your selves and I want to know your answers to this

I have organised trips to Ashbury Manor on many occasions and have found that the overall package to be good. My group have given me a few comments. Due to our golf booking covering the lunch time period, at no time could we eat our lunches. When asking if we could have a packed lunch or simple have a Cornish pasty, we were told No. I tried to book earlier golf tee times and they had been taken, which in itself is not a major issue. But why, in this case make up a packed lunch. The lady working on reception, not just myself and my wife, but a few of my group found her rude and without customer facing training. Very abrupt in her mannerisms. not what you would think would be acceptable. I did run 4 & 5 Star hotels for 35 years and I would have taken her for some training, or suggested another job. Ashbury has so many things for us to do and on the whole they are in good condition.
The accommodation was good needs updating but it's being done soon overall very good 👍

The hotel has everything but all rooms, common areas and dining rooms were in need of refurbishment. The food and choice of food were good
All the staff are warm & friendly. Good size room, fresh and clean. Dated only by the artexed walls. Hey it’ll come around again 😂. Buffet menus change daily, with two or three choices, Very good food. Bar quick to serve, but not the restaurant bar annexe. Great memories.

Accommodation very old & tired, but clean. Very small rooms fit two people and a tv the size of a postage stamp. The food was a bit like school dinners (but hot) and very repetitive.
