The reputation of Druid's Glen has only strengthened since its inception and was named European Golf Resort of the Year in 2005. In the years since the resort has continued to improve, with both the Druids Glen and Druids Heath courses maturing into spectacular layouts. However, the Druids Glen Course steals the show, the 4-time Irish Open host has been compared to Augusta by many great golfers.
The superb 5-star hotel at Druids Glen is set in the magnificent Wicklow Hills to the south of Dublin, just 45 minutes from the city centre and less than an hour from the airport. Known as the Garden of Ireland, Co. Wicklow is truly splendid, and as such, the resort boasts a beautiful setting.
The award-winning spa and health club is popular guests, as is Hugo’s Restaurant, the winner of two AA Rosettes.

Picture yourself standing on the first tee at dawn, morning mist rolling across the Wicklow Mountains while the Irish Sea glimmers in the distance. This is Druids Glen - a 360-acre sanctuary nestled between the majestic Wicklow Mountains and the Irish Sea, where every round feels like a journey through Ireland's most stunning landscapes.
Often uttered in the same breath as Augusta, Druids Glen may not have the character of some of the seaside courses on the east coast of Ireland, but it is one of the best parkland layouts in Dublin and the UK.
From the forest that once was home to the Druids, Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock have created a masterpiece, featuring numerous spectacular holes. The most famous may be the 12th, a delightful downhill par-3 where golfers play over the now famous bank of flowers in the shape of a Celtic Cross, but this is but one hole in a course of classics.

The Druids Heath course may be relatively young, but it has already garnered much attention from the golfing fraternity. The mixture of heathland, parkland and links makes this one of the most exciting and innovative golf courses to be built in the last few years, and has only cemented Druids Glen's reputation as one of the premier golf break destinations.
There are over 1,000 pubs in Dublin, and a visit to at least a few of them to sample the local brew is essential to any Dublin Tour.
Hole 12 (Druids Heath), Par 4, 492 yards, SI 1
At 492 yards, the 12th is an especially tough hole to achieve birdie. While the fairway starts by sloping uphill, it then turns to the right and starts sloping left to right towards a dangerous looking pond. To reach the green in two will be a tough ask for most golfers, not only due to the length but also because of the bunkering which surrounds the green from both sides. A fantastic hole, presenting a challenge for all and requiring risk reward golf to make par.

The hotel is a masterpiece of understated elegance. Set in the magnificent Wicklow Hills just 45 minutes from Dublin city centre and less than an hour from the airport, you'll feel worlds away from urban life the moment you arrive. The lobby's warm Irish hospitality sets the tone - this isn't just accommodation, it's your gateway to an unforgettable golf experience.
The 145 guest rooms blend contemporary comfort with traditional Irish touches. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of either the championship course or the rolling Wicklow countryside. After a day on the links, sink into Egyptian cotton sheets while the sounds of the Irish countryside lull you to sleep.
The resort's restaurants showcase the best of Irish cuisine with a modern twist. Picture yourself in the clubhouse after your round, sharing stories over locally sourced beef and fresh seafood while watching the sun set over the 18th green.
Dine in the stylish, airy surroundings of Hugo’s Restaurant, which holds two AA rosettes, the Garden Rooms and Bar, which stocks an impressive selection of Irish whiskeys, offers stunning views overlooking the famous 13th hole on Druids Glen Golf Course and Woodstock House with its fantastic setting at the 1st tee on Druids Glen.
When you're not on the course, the Elemis spa beckons. The resort provides comprehensive spa facilities where you can unwind with treatments designed to soothe golf-weary muscles. The swimming pool offers a refreshing escape, while the fitness center ensures you can maintain your game even on rest days.
The combination of championship golf, luxury accommodation and authentic Irish hospitality creates something truly special. Every detail has been considered, from the perfectly manicured fairways to the warm welcome that greets you at reception.
The Druids Glen Resort continues to be one of our customers highest rated UK golf resorts.

The hotel was a disappointment. Probably it was a top 5 star hotel in the past, now tdhat’s long gone. It was crowded with screaming children and there were hardly any golfers. The Hugo restaurant is very medium quality. The 2 golfcourses are great but the hotel, the restaurants and driving range are very below standard.

Staff were above and beyond at all times, my bag got lost by the airline and so I had nothing on me, I was kindly given a bag of toiletries and details of where to purchase clothing etc. They even gave me some chocolate to cheer me up! The food was great, room was super comfortable. Resort was stunning immaculately clean. Had a great stay

This is pitched as Irelands version of the Belfrey, but it’s not. Let’s be clear, the Heath course is easily better than the PGA National. The Glen course is easily better than the Brabazon. However, the resort isn’t run as well as the Belfry. There’s no halfway house, there’s no person on the first tee seeing you off. The pro shop is as basic as basic comes. The hotel is great, arguably better than the Belfry, however the Belfry excels at running a business designed to take my money! The Belfry bar is fantastic - sports TVs, easy access to the course. The Druids bar is just a bar.. there’s no “sports” element to it. Obviously these are small things, so here’s the biggest.. the driving range. It looks like stable built in 1980. Even my local club has a better one (and the Belfry range looks like a spaceship by comparison). For me, this is a fantastic golf resort that could just do with that extra bit of care taken in order to turn it into a premier resort. There’s courses are better but it lets itself down with the extras (pro shop, range, bar). Feels like it’s so close to being perfect.

Just returned from Druids glen , we played the heath course and the glen course twice . Both were unreal courses with the glen being up there with the best courses I’ve ever played . The hotel was brilliant and facilities second to none , friendly staff who would do anything for you and were actually interested in your group and experience . We can’t fault anything from start to finish . Thanks Druids glen for your hospitality 10/10

Made welcome by the staff. Rented clubs were satisfactory. Buggy reliable. Really enjoyed the top course. Last few holes were tricky requiring a long solid drive over water. A terrific test.

The driving range at the hotel is a disaster. All 3 days there were no bals in the machine. Even after complaining they didn’t solve the problem. But apart from the absence of range halls the range is a disgrace for such a highly rated golfcourse. If you spent so much money on a golfcourse, you want a proper warm up to play a good round (Rudolf Blank, handicap 6,4).
