Opened for play in June 2000, the course at the Atlantic Beach Estate was built by the Golf Data company, an international golf course construction firm that is associated with Jack Nicklaus and his collection of ‘Signature' projects. They worked from a plan devised by designer Marc Muller, and the resulting par-72 layout is a real gem.
From the tournament tees, Atlantic Beach extends close to 7,000 yards, yet it is forgiving and flexible enough to be enjoyed by the average visitor. Sitting in the shadow of Table Mountain and the club's own superb clubhouse, the course at Atlantic Beach is a fine choice for some seaside golf during any golf holiday around the Cape.
