Barcelo Bavaro Beach - Adults Only

This is a huge resort! It's split into 4 main sections. 1. Adult 2. Junior suits 3. Palace-families 4. Golf Lots of food and drinks as it is all inclusive. There is nothing outside of the resort. Big swimming pools. Nice white sand beaches. The staff are very nice. The checkin takes ages!

It was an amazing experience. Our first golf trip with friends and what better to do it in the carribbean. The only thing that i would like to point out is that the food is below average in this hotel, if you like more gourmet food, this is not your place! Otherwise its perfect.

Everything about the place was good except for the room which needs a lot to be desired. The view from the room was a boundary concrete wall about 10 metres away and well over 4 metres high. The bathroom was cramped and in a poor state. The bar in the room was not replenished on a daily basis, you had to request for it!

Had a complaint every day, room dirty on arrival, air con intermittent, lamp shade hanging off, food at times inedible - orders often wrongly prepared , most staff except on reception desks unable to speak a single word of English (worst was Hoyo19), noise from late night revellers, traffic noise (room next to road) all interrupted sleep, very loud voices from laundry staff

Room good ,staff needed some training.We were never asked if our meals were o.k.often the food was cold and when sent back it returned even colder.The man arranging trips was not helpful, and the agreed forty dollar refund for a cancelled trip has not been credited yet.

The accommodation is basic but very clean, the shower was extremely poor. This was our second visit there, as the first was very good as it was our honeymoon. This visit was lovely as the staff there are superb, very happy and always give a nice smile and a 'Hola'. Unfortunately the food was not to the same standard as last time though, so we were feeling limited in that respect.

The clue is in the name...there is a lot of water. And, water is a magnet for golf balls! Lots of green keepers that will gladly sell you 20 balls $20, and give you coconut water to drink. It's a very pretty course with loads of coconut trees birds, including peacocks! In September, it was hot and the course was empty. I had it all to myself! Hole 19 was excellent with cold draft beer on tap.

Beautiful course, P.B DYE design, its a short course but very challenging, tough pin locations, lots of water and good bunker placement. Overall, its a very good course and for the price i think its good considering you can pay up to 1000 dollars to play “teeth of the dog”. If you want to have the all inclusive experiencie + golf, i think it delivers 100%, would definetly recommend.

Excellent course and not called the lakes for nothing. Lightning greens and tricky approaches. Still a very enjoyable course.

For a holiday course it was good with some really nice holes and the pace of play was fine. It was well maintained. Enjoyed playing!

Most enjoyable even though slow play, and a word for Massimo in buggy house who was so helpful

Golf was good but very slow at times, staff very helpful, however it was advertised as free but you have to pay £50 per person for an obligatory cart each time you play which was not advised in advance.

We had a fabulous time out on the course, we played several rounds, and only once were we 'held up' by very slow players. The staff at the buggy compound were as usual, extremely helpful and helped make our experience there really enjoyable, can't rate them highly enough.
