Valley Course
The Valley Course was conceived by Frank Pennink, among the most highly reputed golf architects of his generation, and is characterised by the abundant water features which make it a striking proposition. Pennink's design is sympathetically entwined with the natural features of the local landscape, and the 6,483 yard stretch, beautiful though it may be, will also test even the best players.

Hill Course
The neighbouring Hill Course was also devised by Pennink, but since its inception has been revised by Donald Steel, whose trademark can be seen stamped on any number of the United Kingdom's best golf courses, and who has been consulted by every course to have held the Open Championship. At 6,495, the Hill will also demand some quality striking, and while it may be more forgiving than the Valley, it is still guarded by Pennink and Steel's treacherous bunkers.
In addition to the splendid golf courses, Barnham Broom is also home to a fully stocked Pro Shop & first class golf school. There are extensive practice facilities, and the scheduled tuition clinics make use of the latest technology, including the GASP video swing analysis system, ideal for both beginners and more established golfers.

The stunning landscape of rural Norfolk is the backdrop for a golf break at Barnham Broom, making it an absolutely beautiful destination. The rooms were comfortable and close to the centre of the golfing complex. The only thing my room didn't have was a complimentary bottle of water. Something that's needed when it's cold outside and the windows are closed and the heating on - especially overnight.

The hotel is in the beautiful Norfolk countryside and has clean and comfortable rooms, an excellent sports club and bar (4 squash courts, tennis courts, gym, leisure pool, sauna, steam room) a sports bar overlooking the Valley course, as well as a nice a la carte Brasserie restaurant and conference rooms for eg a works do or society/charity days, but with its Espa Wellness Centre also caters for treatments and massages after a hard day in the gym or on the golf course for those on a weekend break.
The staff are all very friendly and are a nice mix of youngsters learning their trade and the more mature experienced staff who, one felt, had been with the hotel a while.

Food in the brasserie was wonderful, one of the best meals we’ve had on a golf break.
Sports bar was great with outside terrace overlooking the golf course.
We upgraded to a junior suite which was clean and spacious, bed was huge and very comfortable.
Breakfast was super, buffet style for c continental but made to order menu for full English etc.
We didn’t use the leisure facilities but had a look and all looked very nice.

We have an issue with the bar service the process was complicated and slow. Dinner we had a one hour wait between courses. One of our party suffered sickness and bowel problem we believe due to beer pipe cleaning fluid. Housekeeping was minimum I expected. However the food and staff excellent

Food and drink service was absolutely awlful. We had to wait ages for drink orders during the day.
Evening dinner was ok but found service a little slow but just put up with it as we were enjoying each other’s company.
breakfast was a joke, it took over 40 mins for mine and others to arrive (only order in groups of 2 or 3 at a time as we staggered breakfast ) and when mine arrive I had to send it back and toast was cold a poached eggs were rock hard after asking for soft eggs . Then had to wait another 10 mins for replacement to find I still had the original cold toast. I don’t blame the staff but I do blame the management as they clearly need more staff in the kitchen. We went to BB a few years back in a large group and the food and service was fabulous that’s why we decided to re book but we won’t be going again

Perfectly nice but nothing special - the biggest gripe was the price of drinks (a single gin £7.15, small tonic £3.00. pint of Moretti £6.25; £16.40 for two drinks!!!!) Be warned.
The bedroom was small, dark (a single window overlooking a roof) even though we had paid for a 'superior' but the bed was comfortable and large. The smell of too-strong air freshener was unpleasant.
The staff, however, were friendly and helpful, albeit under pressure.
Brasserie food was okay but the same menu both nights; breakfast was pretty poor really - dry, overcooked full English which had obviously been pre-prepared.
