odd experience ..staff great food great with gluten free options course wonderful as always ..visit ruined by rude loud mouthed members who shout at you had no hat/cap on while in club house but when was leaving from toilet to stairs all of 10 ft distance ..was shouted at and had a hat waved in my face ? was a loud coloured bucket hat that looked like it was from a fairground i replied not mine and was loudly answered remove your cap ? im on the way out ? fantastic course and facilities ruined by members who do what they can to make you feel unwelcome .. will never return and will advise others stay away

Located right by the sea overlooking The Needles on IoW. We had a very windy day - but locals said most days were windy - so challenging conditions. The course was in great condition and best of the three we played. Would happily return

Terrific day’s golf was had by all 8 of us, our handicaps range from 9 to 25 and everyone scored above 30 points. The course was challenging but also very playable with fabulous views of the sea and surrounding area, highly recommend playing at Barton on Sea

Very nice course with some great views. In nice condition and fairly well signposted. Food was good value in the clubhouse. Will be back to play again.

I loved this course, everything felt just right for me. Lovely bar & clubhouse, staff very welcoming.

This course was played in a VERY high wind...its a links on a cliff so with that wind it was always going to be tricky....however it was delight to play, very straight forward in the holes and I would recommend you going....all the facilities were top notch. HOWEVER.....and I may have been told this and forgot by YGT and I will go back and see in my correspondence, but when we got there the "confirmed time" we had on our last YGT confirmation was not the case....they do not really reserve times and as they were busy that day with matches and other members, we could have struggled to get on. In fact it was just as well we got there early for lunch and checked in because thy got us out early to miss a club match. They told me that have this all the time and have told YGT not to confirm times but to go and see the pro as soon as you turn up. So please go and play this lovely course but make sure you get your time.

Third time at Barton and enjoy this lovely links. Views are stunning. Food was a little disappointing this time round (soggy burger rolls stuck to napkins) which is not our usual experience- it’s normally fab. Staff are very nice and members very welcoming.

Unfortunately due to adverse weather, sea mist and torrential rain we only completed 9 holes (Needles) but it held up well and all enjoyed the experience. We will return to complete the course another year and hopefully appreciate the location and views which were non existent this time.

Great Course - Great experiences had by all- Hence returned for 2nd year running!

Unfortunately two holes were closed on the needles so we played the Becton and Stroller. Great views and course ok greens were poor due to hollow tining. Always fun to play.

Wonderful golf course will definitely look to return one day.

the course has 3 nine holes,we played Becton and Needles,very good course, excellent quick Greens, great views over the coast, we will play again but a Buggy is a must as a long hilly walk.

A great course in good condition. Good practice facilities, which was good because we were 4 hours early. So an hour on the range, chipping green, putting green, nice lunch and then back on the range. An interesting sea side links/heathland course, would definitely recommend.

We were lucky and played on a sunny day with no wind. It would play a lot harder if the wind picked up.

Complete contrast to IOP. Brilliant reception pointing out everything we needed to know. Bar staff very friendly. Course beautifully maintained and stunning views Of all 3 courses played, would definitely re-visit this one first

Lovely views, the two nines we played were in good condition with fairly generous fairways. Pro shop staff very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the impressive looking clubhouse was closed due to Covid so weren't able to visit it.

Very enjoyable would go back probably change the hotel and a couple of courses

Recommend this course and would play again. We played the Becton and Needles of the three 9 hole courses available. Great views of the Isle of Wight and Bournemouth. Again this was booked for a different day and later tee time, not what was originally requested and as it was our last day it meant we were later home than planned. Greatly inconvenienced.

Wonderful views and a great course lay out but the fairways are struggling.

We were meet by Derick the starter/ranger first class person he gave us all the details we needed we had a very nice game of golf.

First time visiting this course and will return. Well received by the staff and catering good.
