An excellent hotel. Modern, clean with good bars and restaurants.

Can't fault any aspect of the hotel - other than the ongoing refurb causing a bit of inconvenience getting to rooms!! Staff were all competent, friendly and helpful

From the drive through the estate, welcome at the Club House, to online check in, to quality of rooms, to Redmonds dining, the golf courses, to online check out, all were excellent. Would highly recommend as a mini golf break

accomodation was first class and so was the staff, the food was also excellent.. At £7.60 for a pint of beer AND £14.00 for a pot of tea for 4 our group thought that this was extremely excessive.. Also we were not told by your company that we were only getting a £30.00 food allowance for our evening meal !!!!! ... This was embarrassing as there were only 2 items available on the evening menu!!!!! ..£49.00 required for a simple steak !!!This is not what our group wanted to hear !!!!!disappointing. Also their was also a 12 % tip required although that was not compulsory..

We had a fabulous time. Just on our last breakfast some foods were not available due to 1 person in the hotel had a severe nut allergy. So the other guest were not able to have Granola Muslie and Pastries. Surely this should not happen.

We had an incredible three-day event at Carden Park with our group of 20 players. The facilities, hospitality, and overall experience exceeded all expectations. Across the board, participants agreed that this is one of the best venues we've ever visited for competitive play. We’ll definitely be back!

Annoy find a fault in this hotel. Everything is pristine. The food is fabulous and there are so many staff, all engaging with the guests. Would recommend this to small and large groups and couples.

Every aspect of the hotel and its facilities were first class. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly in all departments. The accommodation, the restaurants, particularly The Vines were of an extremely high quality and standard Both golf courses were absolutely fantastic and again the staff there were most helpful in every aspect. A great vacation and golfing experience. I tried to book this package with the hotel directly but my wife has not long partaken of the noble sport and we simply wanted to play three rounds as a 2 ball which the hotel could not guarantee. But when I used the services of this golf travel company I found them to be massively helpful and understanding of our circumstances and everything was organised to perfection. Harvey is a credit to your company and I shall most certainly use your services again. Thank you.

Bit disappointed this year.we went last year,18 people and was disappointed with the food so this year I told yourself that we want to go into the main restaurant and pick off the menu.we were told by yourself that wouldn't be a problem,and we would have a £30 tab per person to pick of the menu.when we arrived,they knew nothing about it,and said we couldn't do that.i asked to speak to the restaurant manager,and she said it was too late to do it on the Thursday,and we could only do it on the friday.also,the first night,man utd was playing,we were all looking forward to it in Morgan's bar,then told we wasn't allowed in there because there was a wedding on,so we had to watch it in another bar with no sound.we asked for sound to be turned up,and they said no.so the Thursday with the food and football was a disaster.

Disappointed to note that the hotel & golf events were NOT advised of the changes we made to our party. This caused confusion which took some time to sort out.

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The only thing missing is a bit more entertainment at night ie more TVs, pool tables, dart boards, live singer.

We had a lovely spacious Courtyard room with effective but very quiet air conditioning, which was a real bonus during the hot nights. We ate lunches in the lounge bar and golf clubhouse and had dinners in the Brasserie and The Vines Restaurant. The food was delicious in all, with good menu choices and delightful staff. The Taster Menu in The Vines was a particular highlight. We didn’t use the Spa or Gym facilities, but did do the ‘Vertigo’ experience, which was such fun and expertly supervised by Abby. All in all a most memorable stay and we plan to return next year.

Lovely hotel with top quality rooms. The staff's attention to detail was second to none and made us feel very special. Nothing was too much trouble. Particular Graham the porter who assisted me when transporting all my baggage! Getting to the various floor levels was a bit tedious due to layout but all in all a great place to stay.

Complex is top of the range, staff were professional and helpful at all times. Hotel rooms are first class, beds comfortable and pillows were excellent. The only thing that stood out in a negative way was any purchase made was over priced and expensive. Saying that though I would highly recommend this facility and would go back.

We had a lovely stay at Carden Park. We booked through Your Golf Travel and they ensured that our arrival and check in was seamless. The hotel has fabulous amenities and is very well maintained. The staff were very friendly and keen for us to enjoy our experience there. We played two rounds of golf and the courses are fabulous. I will definitely be visiting again. It was just a shame that our room was too hot as the temperature outside was at least 30 degrees. There was a fan in the room but it was not sufficient.

A lovely hotel and setting. Staff are very pleasant. The rooms are spacious, but could be modernised, they need air conditioning and the bed mattress was just too firm, to the point that it was uncomfortable. The food is high quality, prices in the hotel are generally high. The setting is beautiful and there are a lot of facilities. It is misleading to think the spa is included, even upon arrival we were lead to believe this, more needs to be done to emphasise the difference between the leisure facilities and the spa. The golf package was generally well organised, however, there seemed to be a waste of a few golf companies going to the Open from the hotel, all using half empty coaches, perhaps you could have joined up. The coach provided on the 22nd was dated and not that clean. Also for changes, communication was via the App only, this could be difficult if no wifi in places. We did see the message about change in coach time on 23rd but some did not. Thank you, we enjoyed.

Another excellent stay. The staff set this hotel apart. The whole package is outstanding. Both courses were in fabulous condition. Food was top quality too. Only negative point was the cost of buggies, £42 each for quests with medical conditions was far too expensive

We weren't made aware by golf travel that we only got a 30.00 voucher towards our evening meal the package i bought from golf travel was half board including evening meal! The outdoor spa was lovely but comes at a cost of £120.00.

Great golf stay at Carden Park. Great food & nice rooms. Staff were really attentive & pleasant. Clubhouse & pro shop staff were excellent & really helpful. They have a golf bag store if staying over night & playing next day which was great. One of our favourite golf packages so far, highly recommended.

The hotel is fabulous. The bedrooms are large and in perfect condition, bar facilities are great and the food in the restaurant was first class. I can’t praise the staff enough. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Hotel was oversubscribed. Too busy- very long wait times to be served food at lunch and couldn’t get near reception as so many people were queuing. The room had no air con and was stifling. No spa treatment included in the golf spa package. Not really 4* experience unfortunately. Aside from the golf, a disappointing experience.

Great golf great food great getaway

There was a party of eight of us 2 single rooms and three twins. All the rooms were excellent and we had a wonderful time.

Hotel was faultless really, plenty of bar areas for a few drinks, food was very good which was impressive given the size of restaurant and amount of people. Club house and driving range facilities were to a high standard. This venue will take some beating.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, comfortable environment, welcoming and helpful staff. Drinks prices were a little high especially when you’re a captive audience. Also - the Nicklaus course was seriously flawed (not their fault, but greens infected with fungus making them very uneven) however their offering as recompense was only to benefit them - pretty poor (ie a “2-4-1” voucher for the course requiring you to come back, stay and spend yet more money on them!?!)

really good stay with everything pretty much going well, loads of positives hotel, food, golf, staff etc.... couple of negatives i received a flyer couple of months prior to going offering same deal for £80 less, which would of put us on par to the normal price trip other was just the distance.

We found our room very comfortable with a great view of 16 and 17 Greens crossing a lake from tee to green on the Nicklaus course.

Superb stay. Upgraded to a suite which was really pleasant. Service excellent across the board.

Got upgraded which was a nice surprise, so was somewhat spoilt. very pleased with the quality of room / furnishing/ cleanliness / amenities. The package was spot on, easy to find - easy flow - no hassle - the ambiance was good.

After 4 postponements for our stay due to Covid lockdowns 8 of us finally enjoyed our golfing break at Carden. Many thanks to Matthew (Your Golf Travel) for updating our booking several times over the last 2 years. Beautiful hotel & vast surroundings. Staff were very helpful both in hotel & pro shop.Standard evening menu was very good as was breakfast buffet. All contributed to an enjoyable golf break.

Great hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, but the restaurant food very poor, all the time there never manage to get a warm fried egg, always cold, even straight from the kitchen, the standard of all the food very poor.

The Cheshire /Nicklaus course was in very good condition and a credit to the green keepers.please pass that on. 24 of us for my 40th birthday. Got food poisoning. Unable to have breakfast on the Monday in time for tee off. Cheshire course is a disgrace, Nicklaus is playable. Staff generally poor (excludes check in desk) Rooms the only positive although my TV didn’t work.

Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. Two excellent golf courses, with great service form the golfing staff. Food very good apart from one meal but the price of that was quickly refunded. Rooms facing the golf course are beautiful. Not the cheapest place but worth the money, will definitely visit again.

Great hotel not the cheapest in the world but everyone was very helpful. The package price of dinner bed and breakfast only gives you £25 a night off the restaurant menu which doesn’t give you a lot to choose from. The hole courses were good apart from we were a 4 ball in buggies stuck behind a 2 ball in a buggy withe probably 6 more 2 balls behind us why can’t they pair people up to 4 balls.

The hotel and staff were all very polite and helpful, as for the value for money , you can't knock it. We paid £6pp extra to move are booking from the belfry in March , to this hotel in July and got two evening meals as well , we would have been b&b at the belfry. As for your golf travel . Excellent as usual I always use John mc guffie and have always had excellent help and advice 10/10

We are regulars to this hotel and we are never disappointed rooms are always clean and well presented. The staff in all departments are polite and helpful, food is well presented and of good quality.

Our experience was very good, quiet so we could adjust our tee times to suit the weather.

Food was poor. Breakfast that was brought to you was cold! Choice of the set meal was very limited! Went for the Al la carte on the second day most of us and they have a menu that is already populated for your sweets. they tries to charge everyone who had a steak instead for the sweets as they just brought the out. Placed in a room out of site from other guest at the end of the restaurant.

Considering the covid restrictions the experience was very good.Breakfast and dinner was a bit rushed due to golf tee offs and the new covid closing times but otherwise it was an enjoyable weekend.

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous setting but disappointed with the golf experience. The greens were not in very good condition. I played here a few years ago and they were much better then. Also, there was no course management, we were behind several groups of hackers with no course etiquette, consequently me and my mate had one five and a half hour round and one four and three quarters.

Great place didn’t stay in hotel we stayed in one of the apartments that’s was excellent very comfortable and all you needed, bit of a walk from the hotel, we eat in the vines restaurant food good & staff friendly. But got woken by a few lady guests and men friends laughing and drinking till about 1am they had no respect for the other guests in the apartment block. So a very bad night had by all.

Great hotel. We were a mixed couples party of 10, and have had an annual trip for the last five years to different golf resorts. Everyone said the hotel was the best yet! One night wasn’t enough to enjoy the full facilities. Great rooms and good food. Ate well for the £25 allowance included in YGT package.

lovely hotel, we went as a group of 8 on a golfing weekend and were all impressed with the facilities, staff and general standard of the hotel.

Nearly everything was spot on. Rooms, staff and quality were excellent. Having an agreement for a 3 course meal off the menu, we were restricted to £25 maximum spend per person. This equates to less than 2 courses depending on your choice and certainly not 3 courses.

Could not fault accommodation, a quality 4**** hotel. Everyone helpful, well trained and polite. Only complaint was that drink prices were excessive

A couple of holes had very difficult (bordering on unfair) pin positions. That said very enjoyable golf.

Quiet at the time of year we played so a very leisurely stroll round. Greens were in very good condition.

Beautiful golf course with just the right amount of challenge. Greens were excellent for the time of year and the fairways, although wet, were not sodden/soggy meaning it wasn't impossible to hit the ball!!

There were a few bare patches on fairways following the early-season drought, but that was the only slight issue. Greens were lovely for putting, with well-kept bunkers and superb views throughout.

A very memorable back nine (particularly the last 4 holes). The par 3 15th is scenic in every direction!

We only managed 9 holes on this course as the weather was horrendous - however we walked most of the back 9 and the course overall looks very impressive.

On Sunday it was extremely slow, we walked in after 14 holes as it had already taken over 4 hours & our swings were gone & we had to check in & change & be in time for dinner. Sunday was far better albeit slow but that was expected.

Through no one’s fault, the course was parched due to lack of rain, but the greens were in excellent condition despite this. Great layout, challenging at times, but hugely enjoyable

Loved this course, it has a brilliant back nine holes, with lots of elevation change. Fairways could have been greener but we are in the middle of a UK heatwave. Couldn't fault the greens which were superb.

No complaints from our group of either of the courses. Tees and green surrounds a little scruffy but fairways and greens good. 10 minute intervals works well. we were never held up.

Lovely setting very well manicured just one issue on first round as we were pushed along by the half way house staff saying playing slow and then again three or four holes later but no other fellow golfers had an issue I pointed out after to the pro shop we didn't realise it was a race

Loved the course from beginning to end. Well thought out being both challenging but fair. Excellent condition for the time of year. Would definitely like to return.

Lots of water on this course and some very challenging holes. Excellent having a halfway house (with toilets) which was accessible at both the 6th and 13th holes. Even though we teed off relatively early we got very held up towards the end of the round.

A delightful course - well maintained, but with tricky bunkers and lots of trees! As a 2 ball we got round quickly because we were off early and played through the only 3 ball group ahead of us. There was a starter, and someone going round on a buggy to check the pace of play, so all very well organised.

Played it twice unfortunately on the first day had a junior comp in front so was very slow But second time of playing it no problem some nice holes

More strategic golf required for this course. Great placing of bunkers but the sand was a bit lumpy. A long walk from green to tee on some holes and much flatter. Still very enjoyable to play as it was our first experience of the Nicklaus Course. A proper golf track.

Lovely views from many of the tees. Playing quite long due to the length of rough and speed of greens. Probably due the amount of rainfall in previous weeks. Buggies were needed for the older golfers. Bunkers had very long grass at the front which made them extra hard for the less experienced golfers. We had great weather on the day and all golfers enjoyed their round. Halfway house was well serviced with plenty on offer.

Better than Nicklaus but still maintained for high number of golfers. Some interesting holes here.

Great two days! The course was very good a decent test and in good condition.

Chalk and Cheese, Cheshire and Nicklaus, 2 very different courses that offer something for all standards of golfers. Go off line on the Cheshire course and you're forced to take your medicine, there's no trees 90% air here, not even the sun can find gaps. The Nicklaus course is not so frightening on the tee, more parkland, but still offering a challenge for the full 18 holes, the 18th in particular, a truly magnificent finishing hole to remember any visit by. Bravo

what a fantastic course, breathtakingly beautiful, so many feature holes, fairways and greens in fantastic condition, my only regret was that it got the better of me, but I will be back to tackle it again

The resorts' 'signature course' and a good test of golf. Played longer than yardage suggests. Many well designed interesting holes provided a good challenge to all but still playable for higher handicaps. Only comment is green were a bit slower than may have been expected for time of year

We were disappointed,in the fact the Nickolas course was closed. This was due to the weather which is out of your control.buggies were on . Naturally sticking to paths. We played both days ,will a little shower on the second day. This didn't spoil our weekend.

The course was so wet it really shouldn’t have been open. The fairways were so muddy and slippery it made it difficult to play as nowhere was dry enough that your feet weren’t in the wet. A lot of the bunkers were full of water and there was standing water on the course too. We’d like to play in better conditions

The course was extremely wet and slippery, which didn’t make it so enjoyable. The pace of play was very slow despite the Marshalls best efforts to speed things up - so expect at least 5 hours for the round

5 hours too long. Seemed to be caused by length of rough & people constantly looking for balls. Course otherwise excellent & lovely to play,. Just cut the rough please!

Good experience playing the Cheshire course. Personally I preferred the Nicklaus course. Greens were challenging as they are well protected by bunkers, so have to be careful on approach to the greens.

The course gets better every year. It’s now mature and in great condition. We were playing holiday golf so used the yellow and red tees which were perfect. The blue and white tees looked a little more challenging. The greens and bunkers were in exceptional condition.

The course is in excellent condition. A few of the tee boxes were showing signs of wear but generally these were fine. The fairways were well maintained and the greens were some of the best I have played on this year.

Played this course twice. First time brilliant. Second time ladies competition very very slow 4 lots on the tee at one point. Shame really spoke to the Marshall and he said sorry. Spoilt the day really. This needs to be noted for the future. Only thing to wing about .

For a parkland course, it had good variety of holes, beautifully landscaped. Excellent greens. Plenty of thinking required to navigate many of the holes

Again a tricky course - we got used to the play

We were held up by a 4 ball (2 couples) who were messing about even though there were lots of notices regarding slow play- otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed the game

Received a phone call on the Wednesday to say greens not in great shape, was annoyed as was to late to do anything. However the greens were in good conditions bar a few minor blemishes that we barely noticed. Greens Played nice a quick and really enjoyable. The round was just under 5 hours but this was what we had been told. Due to the volume on the course has to be expected

Being a high handicap the course was abit of a challenge but the entire group loved the course. Be a doddle if hit straight.

Great lay out, potentially great course. However on our visit their the 7th was being heavily renovated (so challenging par 4 was now an easy par three) and all the greens were heavily infected and so very rough. No useful recompense was offered

The greens were not up to standard due to a disease on them. The pro shop gave us a 2 for 1 voucher to compensate us. The rest of the course was in great condition with lots of bunkers. Pro shop were so helpful.

The professionals apologised for the state of the greens as they had a disease on them but they were in the process of treating them. The man at the halfway house was very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately the greens had a disease which is no fault of the grounds personnel, vouchers given to come back and play again. A long course for walking ( although that maybe because we walked the Cheshire course the day before). Again beautiful surroundings & well established

Once again we enjoyed the course and we will be returning to play these courses again.

Just need to be careful as when you hit a good shot and your ball goes out of sight it could be in a hazard or long grass but it was a lovely course, we will return to play again.

A challenge for a mid handicapper. Needed a tight game to do well.Greens very true and well prepared.Recommend a course guide for this course as their are a lot of hidden hazards not apparent off the tees. Thoroughly enjoyed the challenge here.

we picked a beautiful day so we were very lucky. No Pressure from either direction. lost a few balls on the fringes which was frustrating but then that is down to me ! but overall a brilliant course.

We played the Cheshire twice during our stay , the first day was a Sunday so the course was understanderbly busy. There was signs of some drainage work on some fairways which made them harder to play off and the greens were very unpredictable and slow . However two days later we played again and the greens were so different , so much better ,maybe just needed a cut and an iron ? overall very enjoyable golf course -we will return

Greens better than the Cheshire course but not up to the standard expected for this type/standard of course, the course did compensate for this with a 2 4 1 voucher to return. Half way house closed which was a little disappointing on first day. A very picturesque, well designed course with challenges for all standards of golfer. I will return to play again.

The fairways were very tight and hard, probably not enough growth yet probably the time of year. The greens unfortunately are badly diseased and very inconsistent.

Greens were diseased and very poor. Had to take the bunkers out of play due to damage caused to club from large stones. Overall condition was poor and appeared neglected-not caused by weather/time of year-should be ready for the season starting on Friday 1/4.

Condition of the course was disappointing from tees to fairways to greens to bunkers full of large stones.

Weather was very good for time of year. (March). We hired buggies which had to remain on cart paths - this inevitably slowed our two groups down a little. 4hrs 10 mins for each 4 ball. We enjoyed the course, however the greens were not as good as we hoped.

s the weather on the first day was appalling but improved on second day. considering the recent weather, the course was much as can be expected after wet weather. But cannot compliment the staff highly enough.

The course is relatively easy but I was playing with a newcomer to golf so it suited us. Very wide fairways . The more challenging course the Nicolas is closed at the moment.

We were placed as a 2 ball behind a big society, some of whom appeared to be non golfers. The round took almost 5 hours. Very disappointing. The course was in poor condition, but has excellent potential.

A tricky course heavily bunkered greens.

Great course with some brilliant back 9 holes. Only issue we had was terrible back up from the 5th tee. For the last 7 holes we had three groups off golfers waiting to tee off in front of us due to bad course marshalling not speeding up the groups in front. A five and a half hour round is never what you want.

Great course some very attractive holes all the way through, we were expecting the greens to be faster and truer than the Cheshire course but they were about the same but great for society golf which is what this place is all about.

Too much drainage work on too many holes,if we was aware of the issues on the Cheshire would have liked to play Nicklaus instead was only made aware on the tee. Offered 2-4-1 voucher for weekdays but not practical due to travel distance. Course conditions poor and too busy with 4balls for a Monday

Probably guilty of overrating it as we played the Cheshire either side of our only round on the Nicklaus.

There was alot of work being done on the 3rd hole and we had to play a shortened hole which made it difficult to score correctly. Other than this all 27 ladies enjoyed the course.

We played the Cheshire course twice and Jack Nicklaus once. It’s very disappointing that we were not informed of the extent of the course maintenance before arrival and given the opportunity to re arrange our booking. The maintenance work also caused long delays on tees as bottlenecks of golfers built up particularly at the 6th 7th and 8th tees. This resulted in 2 x 5 1/2 hour rounds on the Cheshire course. We played 3 rounds in 3 days with 2 buggies at £36 each,2 of the buggies broke down during our rounds and had to be replaced by the course marshals There was no driving range availability between 8am and 4pm on any of the days due to a PGA tournament. Tee’s on the Cheshire course were very worn and unattended. Golf staff service was unwelcoming and they appeared visibly unhappy.

We played the day after a PGA comp, so the greens had been ironed intensely and were so much faster than the Cheshire course. A lovely course with picturesque views. Wide forgiving fairways, however the bunkers were deep, numerous, and many with a lip so clean bunker shots were required to lift the balls out. Certainly a thin bunker shot would not get you out.

Wide fairways make this course relatively straight forward. Some ongoing drainage work left some Sand filled channels on some fairways, and as an apology they issued us with 2 for 1 vouchers as recompense. They do leave the grass around many bunkers long and whispy. Not sure why, but it seems to be a feature. Can’t say that I’m a fan of this, makes them look unkempt. The bunkers themselves had shallow sand depth, and contained many stones.

Again a lovely course with large fairways and plenty of water hazards. We had a morning tee time which helped with the pace of play and finished inside 4 hours. I would recommend this course.

Really nice course but the pace of play was extremely slow. It was backed up from the fifth hole and took us over 5 hours to complete the round. We still really enjoyed the round and we’ll certainly return in the future.

All holes with the exception of the par 3’s are very long. Wouldn’t recommend buggies as need to stay on the paths

IN BETTER CONDITION THAN THE NICKLAUS BE STILL THE SAME WITH THE BUGGY HAD TO STAY ON PATH WAYS,SO AGAIN UNABLE TO COMPLETE ROUND.WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THIS WHEN BOOKING.

BEING DISABLED AND HAVING TO USE A BUGGY I WAS UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE COURSE AS YOU HAD TO STAY ON THE PATH WAYS WITH THE BUGGY.IF I HAD KNOW THIS BEFORE THEN WE WOULD NOT HAVE GONE.ALSO THE COURSE WAS VERY WET AND MUDDY TI SHOULD REALLY HAVE BEEN CLOSED.AS ONE OF THE MEMBERS INFORMED US ON THE NEXT DAY IT IS NORMAL CLOSED THIS TIME OF YEAR.

We actually played this course 3 times because the pro said the Nicklaus Course could be wetter in places so we felt better on the Cheshire Course and we were happy with that.

We were first tee time on a glorious sunny morning so we experienced all the best features without having any waiting time.

This is an extremely attractive course with a good selection of holes.

Very enjoyable day overall but we were held up by too many slow groups ahead of us. It’s a tough course, made easier by us playing a Texas Scramble. Better for low to mid handicappers. Tough for 20+ handicappers.

A long slog without buggies, especially as we had 2 or 3 older members. A good course for low to mid handicappers. Tough for anyone above 20 handicap. Buggies next time for sure. Otherwise, very enjoyable.

A very different course to the Nicklaus course, in tip top condition but not quite as manicured as the Nicklaus. A much tougher challenge, particularly on the back nine.

The Nicklaus Course was very well presented with fantastic views all around. Fairways and greens were first class.
