Cotswolds Club Chipping Norton
The narrow tree-lined fairways weave their way through stunning views of the Cotswold’s, placing an emphasis on accuracy off the tee. The nature of the course is to take the onus off the big booming drive and instead challenge a player’s course management skills. The ‘River Glyme’ meanders close by and is the source of a couple of interesting water features on the front 9 holes. The course is maintained to a very high standard and occupies possibly the highest ground in the Cotswolds, drainage is excellent, which practically guarantees play all year round. We believe the best laid out course in Oxfordshire.
Signature Hole: Par 5, 11th Hole
The 499 yard, par 5, 11th hole is considered by many as the signature hole at Cotswolds Hotel and Spa. The hole offers a swooping, dog leg left shape, which requires an accurate tee shot down the hill to yield the opportunity of hitting the green in two shots for the longer hitter. The hole offers stunning, tree lined scenery and backdrops as you look both down towards the green and back up towards the tee once on the putting surface. The approach to the hole slopes gently from right to left, so an emphasis on club selection is key to put yourself in a good scoring position.

How to get to Cotswolds Hotel & Spa
Located within the Cotswolds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just 40 minutes from Oxford.
Very clean, very large bedroom. Poor choice evening meal, 4/5 man choice only

Fantastic hotel

Everything was fantastic
10 / 10
Great value, bedrooms were clean, and lots of space . Restuarant was very goid with lovely 3 course evening meal. Buffet breakfast was superb. The bar area is comfy and good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Overall great value .
10 / 10
Booked for a 1 night stay, 2 rounds of golf with dinner and breakfast included. For £119 each it was a very good value for money.
The hotel was lovely and clean, food was good and staff were friendly. My only criticism is that there are no real spa facilities. I should have checked before going however if you have 'spa' in your name you would expect a sauna, hot tub and maybe even a pool. It only offers treatments.
This would not put me off going again though, and like I said I should have looked in to it properly before going
8 / 10
Accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Easy access to bar and restaurant. Breakfast was good as was the 'a la carte' menu on the second night. Unfortunately the buffet meal on the first night was average. Some dishes had run out and had not been replaced and what was there was tepid and had little taste.
10 / 10
The hotel was superb, as were the staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable, food was excellent and beer prices were very reasonable
8 / 10
Location is good with a number of different courses around the vicinity. Rooms spacious and very clean and housekeeping very good. Breakfast buffet good but dinner buffet average. Little option of starters and limited options of main courses and sides. Would spend more and take a la carte option if go there again. Bar very good but perhaps more lounge chairs would be good.
8 / 10
Enjoyed our annual stay. Staff are brilliant and we had a great time.
8 / 10
Our group of 20 were given a room upgrade, with large rooms featuring balconies, seating areas and huge bathrooms. The buffet dinner was very good, and breakfast equally fine.
All the staff were welcoming and friendly.
10 / 10
Really nice comfortable hotel large rooms. Very friendly staff. Missing pool and spa facilities to give it a five star to make it an all round hotel
4 / 10
Absolutely awful dinner, clearly understaffed, was offered a buffet dinner, nothing left and what was there was disgraceful. No air conditioning in the hotel and clearly not for a long time. Having stayed there before some 4 years ago this hotel has gone downhill and not worth the money. A real shame.
4 / 10
food in particular was very poor staff was not helpful but was understaffed definitely would not return
10 / 10
Brilliant hotel experience. Perfect for a golf trip.
10 / 10
Great hotel. Professional friendly helpful staff. Reasonable bar prices. Food all buffet but great selection and quality
10 / 10
Very well run staff excellent service and very plesent enjoyed the hole experience would recommend it to anyone

Very comfortable, clean rooms. Bar and restaurant very good.
8 / 10
Room was fine, has all the essentials and a nice patio to sit outside and enjoy the sun. Meals are buffet-style and the dinner choice was poor. Breakfast was better.
8 / 10
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The meals - breakfast and dinner, were buffet style but with a good choice and quality.
6 / 10
The hotel was great. The accommodation was good, but I don't think 4*.The staff were very helpful and polite. It's the standard of food that let's it down. Golf was good and the greens are fast
10 / 10
Apart from a small incident, involving me and a laundry cage, the venue and staff were very good, the course is a challenge ( slope rating is high so I got plenty of shots)
The food was buffet, so help yourself, there was a good selection. Buy one coffee at the bar, keep your cup and get free refills.
8 / 10
The room was great. The bar was good but the evening meal was disappointing as it was a buffet with very limited options. We were expecting a 3 course meal with choices
8 / 10
8 / 10
Buffet dinner was average, breakfast was good.
10 / 10
Rooms were good, no air con but fans in room
Plenty of buggies on offer. Food was just buffet soup and roast, not much choice. No salad choice. Nothing much for vegetarians
Bar service not good, not attentive.
6 / 10
Overall we werte a little disappointed with the dinner which was a limited buffet as against a menu choice offered in previous years! The rooms are fineand the staff generally helpful. It is good value for money but we would pay a little more for better quality food.
8 / 10
Staff make this venue. Room with balcony very good space. The only downside is the poor lighting in the bedroom. Fan provided for very hot nights.
Bar menu is very restrictive … could do with some sandwiches
10 / 10
Great facility for large groups, excellent staff, clean rooms, great welcome off the professional and his team.
6 / 10
Nice golf course, rooms were all ok, very helpful pro shop
10 / 10
This hotel was perfect for a golfing break. Smart modern facilities. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. The food and service was excellent. I booked a private room for our meal and we were looked after royally!
6 / 10
On arrival, 10.30am, were unable to check in, which was understandable, however, filled in registration forms for rooms and returned to reception.
On return, after golf, room allocation was smooth and efficient.
Returned to bar before evening meal, which was spacious and able to accommodate all golfers, however tv in our section was not on, so we missed some of the last day of the PGA.
Dinner, rather than being the sit down and serve option we had experienced previously, it was a free for all buffet, with no option of ordering a drink bar going back to the bar. As buffet food goes, the selection was ok, with Sunday roast being the theme. Did not see any vegetarian options for people of this persuasion.
The self service was a scramble, with all the resident groups descending on the restaurant at the same time. Food quality was ok, but limited choice.
Plates were not cleared from tables, so when dessert was required, we had to clear our own tables!
Back to bar for remainder of evening, all acceptable there.
Breakfast was once again a buffet, with complaints over bacon quality and no choice other than scrambled eggs, no fried, or boiled eggs as alternative! Fried bread would have been appreciated, rather than hash browns.
Overall, service seemed a little unorganised (no clearing of plates, limited choices) however, preparation of food ok.

8 / 10
Lovely hotel, very friendly staff, nice food, nice golf course, bunkers not great.
Low scores for facilities and value for money is due to the Cotswolds hotel and spa, does not have a spa!
Minimum requirement for a spa is pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room. It has NONE of these just two treatment rooms.
10 / 10
Excellent stay . Despite a couple of weddings taking place the hotel was quiet, clean and pleasant. Staff especially helpful
6 / 10
Having stayed at this hotel several times we were very disappointed on this occasion on how the standards had slipped quite significantly.Obviously it is under new management so only time will tell whether there will be much needed improvements. Food was very disappointing
8 / 10
Room was clean and bed comfortable.
Restaurant caters generally for golfing groups and food was self service. Plenty to eat and of good quality.
Part of bar area and side restaurant still bring refurbished.
Terrace area outside bar much appreciated in the hot weather we had . Overlooked parts of the golf course .
Overall we as a group enjoyed our stay.
6 / 10
Overall a good stay - an interesting golf course, though greens on the front 9, which you have to play second - were not the same quality as the back 9. Staff were friendly and polite, rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The venue was let down by the fact that a major refurb was taking place which limited bar and restaurant space. It would have been nice to be alerted to this in advance and some reflection in menu restrictions. The biggest negative was the evening meal - the choice was limited and the food was very average - I did not eat any of my chicken as it was very tough and appeared to have been micro-waved. The restaurant rescued itself with an excellent breakfast. So overall for the money a good trip.
8 / 10
Comfortable
10 / 10
Very spacious and comfortable room.If the group menu for the restaurant got more choice will be better.
10 / 10
Stayed for 1 night half board. The room was clean and well stocked with hot drink making facilities and there was plenty of choice at meal times.
8 / 10
A lot of work going on at the time we stayed but staff was very good rooms very nice once the work has been finish it would be very nice indeed
10 / 10
Rooms were very nice and very upto date
10 / 10
Twelve golfers went for the two nights break. We all had a fantastic time. Rooms were big and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Buggies are a bit expensive. Would highly recommend.
10 / 10
Only one restaurant/ bar and no general clubhouse for a beer or pasty halfway round or at the end. Other than that, the drinks are reasonable and a variety of options, plus lovely food in the restaurant but mostly a fantastic breakfast, and room. Staff couldn’t have been friendly or more efficient! Even the builders and landscapers were respectful of noice when you tee off the 10th hole or putt on the 18th.
10 / 10
Great stay
Lovely staff
Good quality food
Nothing was wrong.
6 / 10
The hotel was nice and a pleasant stay.
8 / 10
Good value for money. Rooms were modern and clean and with good views. Bar area is lovely and good range of food and drink.
The dining area is quite unexciting and needs refurbishing bit food was very good.
10 / 10
What we paid for this was an absolute steal! The hotel and quality of food alone should have covered the cost! Staff was all polite and helpful! A fantastic stay will definitely be going back!
8 / 10
Overall a lovely hotel with fantastic views across the golf course from the rooms over the balcony. Comfortable and fit for purpose with everything required including bathroom essentials. Negative: food available as part of package deal for golfers was below standard in comparison to food available for general guests in the restaurant of the hotel. Food for the golfers was a buffet and of very low quality; would not recommend and perhaps this can be improved for future guests.

10 / 10
The staff, food and general standard wears all very good and a location that we will return to.
10 / 10
Really lovely stay. Hotel very comfortable, staff very helpful, course interesting. Good value break
10 / 10
Great hotel for short or longer stay as room was equipped with a decent size kitchen area, bed was comfy, bathroom was small but had all you needed. Food was good service excellent bar area was large, plenty of seating. Prices about average for a resort type hotel overall a great hotel..

10 / 10
Excellent value, staff friendly and helpful and food very good. became very busy at breakfast on the first morning as there were a couple of coach parties staying and everyone seemed to require breakfast at the same time. Not really a problem and otherwise an ideal location for a golf break.
10 / 10
This is a great hotel for a golf break. I wouldn't want to be here for a romantic weekend away, but it certainly filled all requirements for a golfing break. The food both at breakfast and dinner, although buffet style was hot and constantly replenished. It never ran out. The staff were very accommodating and did all they could to help us. The rooms were immaculate and the tea and coffee facilities were restocked daily. A great place to stay.
8 / 10
A lovely hotel in an ideal location. Excellent value for money.
8 / 10
We have visited this hotel many times. Always enjoy our stay
8 / 10
Very nice rooms
10 / 10
Excellent hotel right on the course , rooms clean and beds comfortable, restaurant food excellent breakfast self service again excellent . Bar has sky tv and outdoor balcony overlooking the 10th tee .
1 night , evening meal , breakfast and 2 rounds of golf £143 pp 100% worth every penny.
10 / 10
Unbelievable value for money. Due to being busy, we were upgraded to a top floor suite which was super nice with great views. Couldn’t fault the stay. Highly recommend 👍
10 / 10
Very nice simple hotel...rooms were excellent nice n large n comfy beds. Staff pretty good n buffet was simply roast dinner on Sunday with choice of meats but constantly replenished.

10 / 10
Hotel was really good, comfortable room & bathroom.
Bar & restaurant staff very accommodating, I’m a Coeliac so have to follow a very strict Gluten free diet, the menus clearly stated where & how the dishes could be altered. I felt really relaxed eating. An absolute joy.
10 / 10
Excellent service and room was fantastic food was excellent. Excellent value for money will definitely go again
10 / 10
Great just to roll out of bed to breakfast and then on to the course!
6 / 10
The staff were very friendly & helpful.
We were a party of 16 and there were other large groups including 2 x coach groups of elderly sightseers!, breakfast & evenings times were busy and the bar in the evening could have done with more staff.
10 / 10
Fantastic venue and rooms were good. Food was very good and staff very friendly.
8 / 10
Hotel was clean albeit the rooms need a bit of updating.
6 / 10
The room was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner was a buffet (??!!) with a minimal choice and no bread rolls, dinner plates, smoked salmon or chutney each time I went up to serve myself. The cooked breakfast was at best average with little variety and definitely not worth £14.95. If you didn't want a cooked breakfast there was very little else on offer.
6 / 10
Hotel was comfortable, the bar is ok but dinner was very very disappointing. In 2023 our group went to the Cotswolds and it was great, a good menu and freshly cooked meals. This time it was bland buffet food, no choice worth speaking of and average at best. It reminded me of school dinners in 70s south London comprehensive. We won't be going back.
8 / 10
Location was perfect and hotel good.
Buffet dinner was not very nice with limited choice and some cold food.
Breakfast, however, was excellent.
8 / 10
Brilliant weekend, thanks Barry, outstanding course, my group ranged in age from 25 to 74 and handicap from 1 to 44.
Everyone loved the course, great greens and I particularly loved the par 5’s, so interesting. Clubhouse, accommodation and food very good.
Thanks for finding us this one 👏👏👏
8 / 10
The overall experience is fine and value for money. With a little more thought the bar and catering experience could be improved. The staff are good but at time over worked and the system is rather rigid if you want something slightly different. But we enjoyed our stay and will return next year
10 / 10
Everything wa good from the start to the finish : speed of play very excellent
Buggies £ 38 could have been priced lower considering the quality of them
6 / 10
Room were facing car park which was disappointing. Good choice for dinner not great. Staff very pleasant
6 / 10
The hotel and rooms were lovely but the food was diabolical very little choice in the evening and the bacon at breakfast was streaky and not a good whole piece of bacon the scrambled egg was congealed no whole eggs the one thing that lets this hotel down is the food if you are on a package but the rest was lovely just need to address their food.
8 / 10
We all had rooms at ground level, the rooms were fine as they had everything but there was no privacy unless you closed the curtains, a blind or similar you could close whilst getting changed would be helpful.
The lunch food menu had a couple of wraps but no sandwiches, the coffee on the stand by the TV wasn’t fresh & everything was self service (coffee, cutlery, serviettes condiments etc.)
8 / 10
Well appointed room and good set-up. Only negative is the room was very hot and air conditioning not working
10 / 10
Golf was fantastic great setting very peaceful on course very busy But no hold ups
Not much selection on food for dinner we went out on second night into chipping Norton
But couldn’t fault the breakfast
10 / 10
Wasn't expecting much for the cost but wow!! Great course, lovely hotel, friendly staff and great food. Will definitely be going back
10 / 10
The rooms were amazing and staff helpful. The only negative was on the food available for the evening meal. It was a buffet style dinner , which was ok , however the choices available were poor and because there were about 50 guests all trying to get their food it run out extremely quickly. I always find that with buffets you get people taking 3-4 portions of everything. We then had to wait while the staff tried to keep up with the demand. The same thing happened with the desserts, their was only 2 choices fruit salad or bread and butter pudding and custard. The bread and butter pudding proved to be everybody’s favourite and they quickly run out and not everybody who wanted it got it. I don’t think this system worked it gave the impression we were staying at a holiday camp not a hotel and spa
6 / 10
The hotel was a strange case, some things good some not so good. The rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed although I was surprised there were no USB sockets although this was offset by a good number of 3 pin plugs.
The bar area was nice enough but it was very surprising not to be able to charge things to your room and this made things more difficult than they should have been for a group sharing costs. This is something I believe the hotel must change if they are not to lose customers.
We had two experiences of the restaurant (evening), the first days was a buffet which was genuinely poor ... the quality of the food itself was OK but mostly cold (unacceptable) and lots of waiting (too long) for dishes to be refreshed once they had been emptied. Based on this experience we decided to "upgrade" to the a la carte menu for the 2nd night at an additional cost of £9 per person. The experience was generally better although still not great (both starters and deserts were delivered incorrectly).
Breakfasts were fine although also tended to suffer from slow refresh of emptied dishes.
Based on this experience my group would not consider returning to this venue, which is a shame because we quite liked aspects of the course.
8 / 10
Great hotel comfortable rooms and good bar. Food was good but limited menu
8 / 10
The accommodation was unsurpassable for the value for money. However the first night's meal was a buffet and myself and the group found this meal and set up a little wanting. The following evening the meal and service was excellent.
8 / 10
Nice hotel in a good location.
Very comfortable rooms.
Good bar and not silly prices as can sometimes be the case.
Food was OK but nothing to write home about.
6 / 10
Great location, hotel and bedrooms. Reception staff very friendly and welcoming . Buffet dinner and breakfast were poor quality. If the food quality was better this would be an amazing place to stay.
8 / 10
Our assigned room was shower only, but reception staff helped us to change our room with bath tub instead with upgrade without supplement.
6 / 10
8 / 10
The room was very good, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The bar and restaurant was tired looking with a limited restaurant menu.
8 / 10
Hotel and rooms very nice
Evening meal and breakfast excellent
Golf course in good condition for the time of year
Great value
10 / 10
Our third time back in two years and we still love the quality and value of this hotel
8 / 10
Great hotel food staff Golf course first class package.
8 / 10
We had a really love stay here, but it was very quiet and there didn't always seem to be enough staff, although the staff that were on, were VERY helpful and lovely. Bar shut at 10pm on Friday night, I guess because it was quiet.
8 / 10
Helpful staff. Lounge and bar facilities a bit tired. But room comfy and great value for money.
8 / 10
Hotel rooms were great, we upgraded to a room with a view. Not too far from the bar. Hotel was very quiet, only downside was that the restaurant wasn't of great variety!
8 / 10
Excellent room.Very good variety for breakfast, but maybe not so good for dinner.
10 / 10
Our second visit and again couldn’t fault it
10 / 10
Most enjoyable stay very surprised for the cost we payed room very comfortable and food top draw nothing to much trouble would recommend to anyone.
8 / 10
Excellent hotel and golf course. Ideal venue for a golfing weekend
8 / 10
Rooms were a good size and clean. Gym was small and no pool. Food was good and the bar fun afterwards. No complaints.
8 / 10
Fantastic staff. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a good size and clean and fresh. I had booked a golf view upgrade but was very disappointed in the room we were originally given. It overlooked the bar and the practice bunker, not really worth the upgrade. I explained to reception who moved us to a much better room as soon as possible.
The rooms we had were well equipped and large. Beds comfortable and all amenities to hand
6 / 10
Clean and fit for purpose. Beds too small for the taller and wider members of the population. Had room on the car parking area , surprisingly not too noisy. Overall good for a couple of nights a bit claustrophobic for more than a couple of nights. This was a standard twin room. Didn't like the walk in the rain to get to the bar and restaurant. Food was really good and will be going back.
10 / 10
This stay was VfM the food was excellent along with the accommodation. Although described as a hotel and spa there are very limited spa facilities I.e. no pool or jacuzzi. The golf course is well maintained and enjoyable to play. Well worth a stay for the price.
8 / 10
Accommodation was excellent however the evening meal was not so good. I had beef rib on one night and beef steak the following night, both were fatty and there was very little else on the plate. compared to rest other services I thought the dinner menu was poor.
8 / 10
An enjoyable 2 day golf trip. Unfortunately we had no hot water in our room, but staff dealt with this promptly and we used another room nearby for showers. The food was excellent.
Take eye pads as curtains let in a lot of light.
10 / 10
Well presented room furnished in a modern style. Roomy en-suite with walk-in shower. Plenty of power sockets. Space behind door to stand two golf bags comfortably. Good menu choice at dinner with good quality food. Breakfast was a self service buffet with all the usual suspects. Bar prices reasonable, based on me living in Hampshire.
8 / 10
Received a room upgrade which was most welcome. Restaurant dinner was excellent
10 / 10
The staff are excellent and the food is fine dining standard the room was clean and comfortable couldn’t fault a thing.

Dinner was very good.
Breakfast was adequate
10 / 10
Overall excellent and well run venue. Staff brilliant and helpful.
10 / 10
Brilliant value for money! - hotel rooms were modern, comfortable and spacious. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Facilities were great and couldn’t ask for more. The bar was fairly priced and had lovely views of the course when sat on the balcony in the sun. Restaurant was nice and the food was excellent, plenty of options for everyone. We didn’t have a bad word to say about our stay.
10 / 10
Excellent stay room was very spacious and comfortable.
10 / 10
Great place to come and stay and play golf . All facilities were fantastic and the staff were amazing too. Highly recommend

First day tee off time delayed by over an hour. 2nd day had the same start time as 2 other groups. Congested course both days. Dinner and breakfast was tasteless. Doubt we’ll go again. Quite dissatisfied
8 / 10
Had an excellent time hotel very good food very good staff very friendly.
Oxfordshire golf course excellent as was the Cotswold course would go again
10 / 10
Staff very welcoming. Room / bed very comfortable. Evening Meal in the restaurant was excellent . For a golfing break this was excellent value for money
8 / 10
Excellent dinner but breakfast was poor
10 / 10
Once again a fantastic stay fantastic golf food fantastic really enjoyed it
6 / 10
It was a bit of a disaster- no hot water for a shower after 18 hot holes of golf! The power cuts (regular!) meant we couldn’t buy drinks apart from cash!! You couldn’t put drinks on your room - mad!! Not enough staff meant dinner was very slow…. Several of our party had rooms you couldn’t swing a cat in! Not great overall
8 / 10
Worrying start when our party booking couldn’t be found ( not their fault) but desk staff were excellent in resolving it. Modern, comfortable rooms. Mine had a balcony with views over the course. The main dining area was noisy when the large golfing parties came in from the bar , but a separate dining area was available for smaller groups. Generally good food from a busy kitchen.
8 / 10
The hotel is set up for golfers and for overnight stays. The rooms are comfortable, the food is very good although the restaurant is a rather basic. The bar is a lttle dark. The staff are very accomodating and provide excellent service. Overall a good experience and value for money
10 / 10
First time visit for sons belated 18th birthday present. Really good room, great views looking at 1st tee and 9th hole. Excellent food. Staff were really friendly. Will definitely visit again.

8 / 10
Good venue, nice setting and very good accomodation. Evening meal from the set menu was distinctly underwhelming with what I would consider small portions compared with other golf menus in the recent past. Two of our group ordered salmon which came with a Yorkshire pudding filled with gravy….a slightly odd accompaniment!! Dining room was also very noisy, poor acoustics. Breakfast however was very good
10 / 10
Every where was spotless. We’ll definitely be going back.
8 / 10
Lovely room. Unfortunately there was a power cut and the hotel was ill equipped and unprepared to deal with it. Cleaning stuff left all over the place next morning, eg in corridors and bar area.
8 / 10
A cracking hotel in a good setting the only point I would make is that the dining area needs a little work to make it more homely.
10 / 10
Second to none.very happy with everything.shame about my golf😒
6 / 10
Lovely the room, and the view was great overlooking the golf course.
Restaurant food not so good, definitely needs a review on how they cook certain foods. Stuff very apologetic, but let’s hope they take the comments on board.
6 / 10
Accommodation was good and the food in the restaurant was very impressive.
Staff generally very friendly with the exception of a couple who were rude and not helpful in the slightest.
Overall the group was happy but just a few remarks were made.

Second time that I have stayed at this hotel and I cannot fault it.
8 / 10
Excellent room very comfortable and nice new bathroom. Only complaint pillows too hard!!
8 / 10
Friendly greeting on arrival and given an upgrade to a junior suite. Rooms were very clean and well presented with great views. Bar and restaurant in close proximity, comfortable with good quality food and drinks. All staff very friendly and helpful
6 / 10
Quite disappointed with the hotel overall, although the rooms were good. We were given rooms overlooking the car park which were quite noisy so not the best nights sleep. The staff in the bars and restaurants were really miserable and didn’t look like they enjoyed their work. There seems to be lots of corridors with rubbish/unused beds etc which made the place look really untidy but for what we paid it was ok. Shame though as it could be so much better. We wouldn’t return.
10 / 10
Fab stay got a free upgrade to a suite which was a lovely surprise. Fantastic views over the first tee. Room was amazing, well equipped and lovely and clean. Very accommodating, food was really good overall a lovely hotel thank you for a great stay
8 / 10
Nice, modern room but we were on the ground floor next to the car park and were woken up at 2am by arguing guests from the travellers wedding party. Would have preferred a view over the golf course - not sure of rooms are allocated based on who you book with?
10 / 10
Lovely place to stay, very clean and the staff were very helpful
10 / 10
A very welcoming place to stay comfort throughout had a great nights sleep
10 / 10
This was our golf society’s fourth trip and once again all enjoyed the hotel. The only disappointment on arrival was that bacon rolls were unavailable from the bar so the first days Golf was started on empty stomachs :-)
6 / 10
Satisfactory
6 / 10
Hotel was ok. Alot of building work going on. Was quite noisy in the daytime.
6 / 10
Re-think needed of the bar. For a Friday night had piano music on sending the bar to sleep. Perhaps think about sport on tv. Food very good and rooms nice.
10 / 10
We were upgraded to a studio apartment which was fantastic clean comfortable
Food was very good much better than last time I was here. £79 for 2 rounds DB&B absolute bargain would highly recommend the cotswold club

Stayed in a superior double room , very spacious and comfortable. Restaurant Food was very good and the buffet breakfast also well presented and tasty.
10 / 10
The food was good very comfortable room staff friendly and helpful
10 / 10
Unbeatable value for money.
10 / 10
This is 5 star accommodation a massive modern suite.plenty of space for parking etc. Staff were fantastic in reception. Restaurant and golf.Modern and quality site spread out and impressive. Best value I have had. Worth the money we paid for the room alone then golf and food included.
8 / 10
Excellent value. Comfy rooms
10 / 10
Excellent hotel and staff. Good food .
10 / 10
On entering the hotel you are greeted with a smile and some very courteous staff who check you in very professionally .
The hotel has great views over the golf course.
The food is absolutely terrific and served by very caring staff with a smile ,nothing is too much trouble.Wonderful breakfast overlooking the course and rolling Cotswold hills ,fabulous,
I would love to see a pool next time we stay. We were a party of 12 and not a single complaint .
The top brass at this hotel must be complimented for their great training .
10 / 10
I have nothing more to say other than we are coming back again next year.Everything was perfect for us .
Staff were so accommodating and friendly.
10 / 10
Accommodation was 5 star, staff very pleasant and helpful, food was good, a very enjoyable stay
10 / 10
Me and my 3 friends had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of days at the Cotswold Club.
Two rounds on a well kept and forgiving course that suited our intermediate standard. As organiser I appreciated the gesture to up grade my room so thanks for that. Our inclusive dinner and breakfast were first class.
6 / 10
We would describe everything as just OK
Food was ok. Bit basic but not bad. Rooms were ok, beds were ok, staff were nice enough.
Fine if you just want cheap and cheerful few nights with some golf.
10 / 10
Lovely clean rooms, staff friendly & helpful. Only criticism was the bar area was small & tables not keep cleared & wiped
8 / 10
Could not fault any aspect of the hotel - service, rooms, food were excellent.
The course was ok, greens challenging, but tees were tatty. Overall though the course was slightly better from what you normally find at a resort course.
I would return.
8 / 10
Very enjoyable stay, rooms good, bar good and great food!
6 / 10
Rooms are very nice. As a group we have stayed there many times. The main meal was very nice, however breakfast quality and presentation has gone way down in standard compared to previous years. One of our group ordered a sandwich post round and it was awful. Made with 2 limp slices of cheap thin white bread a couple of crisps and a piece of limp lettuce. Cost £6.50 Not a great advert. We have been going there for past 6 years, really considering giving it a miss next year.
8 / 10
Modern clean rooms very comfortable.
6 / 10
8 / 10
Very comfortable but no air con and could be noisy with windows open on Carpark side. Not a big problem.
Two course set menus - option to buy third. Enough choice for 5-6 days variation - no complaints on qty/qual - good food! Standard self-serv buffet breakfast - cont & english.
Of course lots of societies so mixed & lively bar.
6 / 10
Lovely rooms, very comfortable with good size balconies. The bar staff were not very friendly, felt like they were doing you a favour serving you. The restaurant staff seemed unsupervised, we had to get there attention when we wanted something, not very attentive and again didn,t look happy or friendly.
10 / 10
In particular all three meals excellent. The three chefs Nick Kieron and Pete should be commended. Great meals
6 / 10
over all good stay .
Staff not that great poor standard of dress code and unprofesional
10 / 10
Can’t rate this hotel any higher it was amazing ! The room were bright large and very comfortable. The food was very tasty and well presented. The bar area was large with also good sized outside area. Maybe could have done with extra help behind the bar at times.
10 / 10
The Cotswold hotel and spa exceeded expectations in everything. The staff went out of their way. They were welcoming and efficient. Rooms were excellent. Food in the evening was amazing. We really enjoyed it.

10 / 10
Very enjoyable although an individual cooked breakfast would have been nice.
10 / 10
Hotel great comfortable rooms with all the facilities you need found that the bar prices had increased quite a lot from the previous year but didn't go there to drink loads so absolutely fine food was good ate in the restaurant and in the bar good choice and well cooked didn't have a bad meal
2 / 10
I can’t remember staying in a worse hotel, it’s basis travel lodge by a nice view over a golf course. The layout is odd with everything of use up two flights of stairs. The bar and Restaurant smell greasy most of the tables in the bar had finished drinks on the table no one collecting glasses. The barman looked like he had been awake for 40 hours straight. Including his (uniform) greasy hair and his shoes were covered in grime built up over years. The glasses were dirty and tasted of fuss. We decided not to risk the restaurant as the tables felt greasy. So it’s not fair to comment on the food but the barman turned waiter for breakfast so enough said. Our room was in a loft up 3 flights of stairs we had paid an extra £94 a night to have our daughter in our room and for them to supply an extra bed. They didn’t do this they supplied a quilt to sleep on a sofa that was so hard it was impossible to sleep on. I swapped with my daughter and didn’t sleep at all. The main bed was not much better. On a whole a terrible experience, the hotel is designed for golf breaks of one night in my opinion as no one in there right mind would want to stay two nights. I reported our problem to the duty manager, (not much cleaner than the barman) he suggested we paid £225 for another room to get my daughter a bed we had already paid £94 for, in the end after a 20min argument he agreed to credit one night of £94 against the £225 for a new room, but not two x £94 because we had used the sofa !!! We didn’t bother with breakfast on the second morning as it wasn’t worth eating. So all in all we paid over £1000 for a terrible room no food and unable to use any of the facilities from fear of getting some disease. Don’t go to this hotel Uber any circumstances. The cotswolds are lovely and full of nice hotels.
10 / 10
Excellent one nights stay. Course is a good/fair challenge.
Tees were in poor condition.
Great value and excellent that you get reduced rate for non golfer.
Evening meal was good and excellent choice at breakfast.
Would return
8 / 10
Hi too start we had too change rooms due to not a nice toxic smell, but they moved us no problem. The bar was not staffed well enough, luckily not that busy. Breakfast and evening meal ok. The spa area was out of action and there would be a additional charge of £20 which we thought was OTT
8 / 10
Clean, well appointed and comfortable rooms. Limited but adequate menus. Excellent breakfasts. Over all we wouldn’t hesitate to return.
8 / 10
A relaxing break in a lovely location. Excellent accommodation and a good choice of food for the evening meal.
10 / 10
Hotel was very clean and the room was well furnished, mattress could be more comfortable.
10 / 10
First time at this venue. Very impressed with the hotel and what it has to offer. The room was very clean. Ideally it would have benefited from air conditioning.
8 / 10
Everything seem to be ok until we got into the room,
It then became apparent that being on the ground floor we faced out into the carpark, right by the door to our accommodation block. If there had been net curtains we would have had at least a small element of privacy.
As it was, being a very nice day, sitting outside by the carpark wasn't really an option and closing the curtains made the room very dark. When we asked the reception if we could move rooms we were told the hotel was full. Perhaps this should be mentioned when booking to avoid disappointment in the future.
Having stayed at spa hotels in the past there is usually a swimming pool, bit disappointed to find only a hot tub which has to be paid extra for.
Overall for the lower level of rooms this should be classed as a motel and not a spa hotel.
All that said the staff and restaurant was very nice.
We had three rounds of golf during our stay which was our primary reason for the break and found the course to be of a very good standard and challenge to all players in our group.
10 / 10
Clean modern hotel located in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. Hotel was quite full but never felt busy during our stay. Room was large and bathroom very modern and also quite large. Stayed on a dinner and breakfast package. All the food was of good quality.
8 / 10
Great location stunning views, rooms very good and spacious. Bar and resteraunt top quality. Only let down was bar shut at 12pm and they wanted to charge for using the sauna and spa !!! But over all would definatley recomend it.
10 / 10
We had a really lovely time at this Hotel - our room overlooked the 18th and so it was lovely to sit on the balcony in the evening. Staff were very friendly, especially the lovely lady on Reception, who was very helpful. Food was great, especially the breakfasts!
6 / 10
Accommodation was clean and tidy.
Staff at the hotel had us all in rooms together that we had not organised, they made it very difficult to change this and made us fill in paperwork. They also made us move our dinning slot arranged by your golf travel.
A nice break that could have been better if reception staff at the hotel knew what they were doing.

10 / 10
Great venue, excellent staff, worked hard to resolve issues around meal choices. It was our only hick up you need to choose from the menu in advance and pay for any extras up front.
8 / 10
Nice quiet room with balcony and views over the course.Good food, drinks but pricey. All staff excellent!
10 / 10
10 / 10
as you can see there were 16 of us and all of my party
gave the hotel 5 star
10 / 10
Staff very pleasant, polite and helpful. The system of booking pre golf food on 1st day and post golf food on 2nd day is a lot more work for organiser. If they persist with this they need to send it out in 1 email not on 3 separate days so organiser can contact party once not 3 times.
You need to stress that dinner is only 2 courses, starter and main, sweet is not included. They send a spreadsheet with individual choices for all 3 courses, I took it that we were having 3 courses so when we checked in we had to pay for sweets..
Apart from that a cracking weekend
8 / 10
Have to pay extra for spa? Steam room not working? Bar area would really benefit from either a pool table or dartboard
10 / 10
We came on a golf break package. Room was very comfortable, bar chairs inside were very relaxing. Balcony gave a good view of the tenth hole. Evening meal was excellent and the buffet breakfast was very good from croissants to full English. Could not fault it.
8 / 10
It's a nice modern hotel, a short drive from Chipping Norton. The rooms are comfortable, if a little small.
The one downside would be the food, with breakfast being pretty much inedible.
8 / 10
Good service, food was good, nice environment
8 / 10
Nice hotel - rooms were clean and food was pretty good - quite an extensive menu.
Spa facilities weren't fully working
8 / 10
6 / 10
Room was modern and clean and comfortable. The bar had run out of snacks ( crisps nuts etc) by mid afternoon, and kitchen was closed so unable to get a snack long before evening meal. Evening meal and breakfast were good.
This weekend was the masters weekend and the hotel did not have Sky TV in the bar to show the golf. Considering it calls itself a golf break facility I felt this was really poor.
8 / 10
Since our last stay at this hotel, they have elected not to continue with their Sky Sports subscription which given we were away for a Masters weekend was a great disappointment. Take Note group organisers!
8 / 10
4 / 10
One of the main reasons and selling points for going at the weekend was the masters, however the masters was not being shown as was no sport as they didn’t have sky tv or even terrestrial displayed. This also meant we were unable to watch the grand national. On a weekend of great professional sport we missed out and like stated before this was a selling point made by the company yourgolftravel and was used to influence my booking with you. We also had a few issues with the restaurant and bar food. At the main restaurant for the diner that I had already liaised with the hotel before attending, one meal was missed off and a participant has to wait and then eat his food after everyone else has mmm finished. The worst scenario though was lunch in the bar on the Saturday before we left. We had to wait an hour for half our order, one of my party ordered cheesy chips and myself a Cajun chicken panini that were both missed by the kitchen at a time when the bar wasn’t even busy, (not that that should be an excuse but obviously would be more understandable). It took one of us after an hour waiting to raise the issue with the bar staff who up to that point had been very lacklustre and disinterested. Only once they realised how long we had been waiting for our food we’re they then apologetic. Cheesy chips literally would take 5 minutes to cook and prepare. Unacceptable.
The courses wasn’t particularly well maintained, we all expected better. The overall cost before attending was value for money but after attending with the issues we had it wasn’t to be honest.
10 / 10
Fantastic service, room was well appointed albeit a tad warm. Evening meal was of good quality and very tasty. We did have a bit of a wait but received an apology from staff.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
All in all a great place.
10 / 10
A most pleasant experience. The hotel was clean and comfortable and our overnight stay was a pleasant experience.
8 / 10
Modern and convenient. Spotlessly clean rooms.
8 / 10
Amazing value for money!
8 / 10
Rooms very clean and spacious, bed comfortable bathroom clean and well appointed. Well pleased.
8 / 10
Decent hotel although people didn’t get the rooms they wanted with bath/shower. Our room 109 smelt of damp from behind wardrobe backing onto bathroom.
Food very good, drinks pricey.
Staff polite but good with excuses!
10 / 10
The quality of the rooms was superb, with King size beds and a large flat screen television. The inclusive dinner was excellent too with a choice of 2 courses from three.
10 / 10
Welcome at reception was great, room was superb dinner from starter to dessert wonderful and course in great nick with par golf played by us both to handicap with some birdies. A very enjoyable stay at incredible value and sun out both days.
10 / 10
Excellent, clean, friendly and spacious.
The food was first class and the cost was amazing.
8 / 10
Good value, comfortable room with modern facilities.
8 / 10
Room was good but could do with a small small fridge
8 / 10
Reception, the bar and the room were all as you would like them to be - very good. The restaurant however, was another story. We booked, and duly arrived at our table, at 1930 and were presented with a set menu offering a limited but decent selection. We went for the Main plus Dessert combo, ordering our dessert after we’d finished our main. I can’t tell you what the dessert was like as we left after having sat at our table for 1 and a half hours, receiving only the main during that time. Drinks were ordered but never arrived, and the whole experience was shambolic.

10 / 10
I booked a weekend golf trip for 8 people and i have to say the hotel certainly met our expectations if not exceeded them. The Hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. It is a great set up and we are already thinking of booking again for next Spring.
10 / 10
Spacious rooms compared to similar breaks elsewhere. Great shower and comfortable beds. Good bar area. The dining area was a little bit on the chilly side but the food and service were very good. Excellent staff.
We travelled from opposite ends of the country so given the location and hotel facilities we would visit again but the speed of play and course conditions need to be addressed.
8 / 10
Room was twin, not very big but only needed for sleeping and showering as on course most of day. However, this is a relatively new hotel and is 5 star standard.
10 / 10
Would recommend this for a get away golf and relaxation, staff very friendly and helpful, the course is a good test. Located out the way but it was nice and chilled.
10 / 10
Twin rooms were well set out with spacious bathroom. Room rather hot even after turning radiator off
8 / 10
stayed at this Hotel for 1 night with 2 rounds of golf. cant fault the Hotel.staff were friendly food was decent
8 / 10
Rooms were good, however we had a very long wait for the food at dinner after quite a wait to get the food ordered. It appeared to be a shortage of staff casing this. Breakfast being self service went smoothly.
10 / 10
Course in nice condition for time of year -lovely rooms although having asked for a twin room it was double so had to be rearranged- evening menu bit limited and service slow but at least they gave us free bottle of wine when we complained!
8 / 10
Everything was good apart from one evening in the restaurant we had to wait over I HR for our starter so did several couples because they had large groups that the kitchen couldn't cope with but this didn't spoil our stay.
10 / 10
Everything about my stay was excellent.
8 / 10
Everything was fine, no problems with anything and the staff were great.
6 / 10
The hotel was in a great central location for the six guys, roughly in the middle of our homes. The bar was OK but short staffed and the food we ordered for lunch took ages to come out and my order was missed completely. The bedroom set was a bit weird with two sofa beds and a fully equipped kitchen (washing machine, cooker, fridge freezer etc) more like a holiday let than a hotel room. The Sunday evening meal was a roast dinner which was alright but nothing special. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as many of the elements for the full English (eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, beans & mushrooms) were all cold. The restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was lacking any atmosphere. The hotel itself was very clean.
8 / 10
Lovely rooms, challenging golf course. Spa facilities were limited. Breakfast was cold. Generally a nice stay.
6 / 10
The rooms were spacious and well furnished but the lighting was very poor. There was nowhere to sit and read, no lounge or hotel bar just the golf bar which needed updating. Food was reasonable, evening meal acceptable but breakfast was very disappointing.
8 / 10
Pro’s : We were lucky enough to have the apartment rooms for our group which were absolutely great.
2 course meal included in package, albeit a bit small was very nice! Full buffet breakfast decent aswell!
Con’s : A golf club without sports channels on the biggest golf tournament of the year was a bit shocking considering they have 2 large screen TV’s in the bar!
Nowhere designated to leave luggage once you check out as we didn’t have our own transport.
2 people behind the bar when over 50 people in there drinking meant long waiting times!
6 / 10
Comfortable and clean rooms . Staffing levels and training of staff a little lacking but understandable in the current crisis , I haven’t stayed in hotel that hasn’t been affected. The quality of the food was good but maybe a bit more choice would be good , and breakfast a little chaotic.
8 / 10
Good value for money, comfortable rooms, good food, friendly and helpful staff. Very good spa treatment. One or two bits of the public places were a bit scruffy but excellent value, will go again.
6 / 10
Room was clean and modern with a good bed.
Food evening meal was good but overall service and cleanliness were dreadful!
10 / 10
all vaey nice and clean rooms
6 / 10
Rooms and bathrooms are great! Service and bar and restaurant and food absolutely shocking. Bar is filthy and no staff. Breakfast was shambolic and everything was undercooked an anaemic. I saw actual raw black pudding sliced up on offer. Terrible.
8 / 10
The room that we had a lovely view over the practice putting green, the only think was the breakfast being a buffet it was that warm.
10 / 10
This is our second visit. Some issues that were dealt with immediately. Lovely staff - would recommend
10 / 10
Cracking hotel. The junior suite over looked the first tee which was perfect. The food was lush and breakfast had so much choice. The barman thomas was absolutly lovely and so chatty and welcoming.
10 / 10
Very comfortable hotel with good sized rooms and beds. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and service in the restaurant was first class. Good bar / lounge with lots of comfy seating and outdoor deck. Overall highly recommended.
6 / 10
Nice physical hotel and facilities, it was a shame about the staff, seemed as if it was a chore to provide a basic level of service at times.
10 / 10
Room was small but in excellent condition, bathroom good with brilliant shower.
Food and service at restaurant and bar very good and excellent value
10 / 10
Very comfortable
6 / 10
Accommodation was fine but breakfast was disappointing as the food was only lukewarm.

To whom it may concern,
Myself and my brother partook in one of your golf breaks this week..(22nd to 23rd August). Due to no availability we paid extra to have golf view room.
Unfortunately on entering the room we discovered the patio doors would not open as there was no key.. we immediately reported this to the reception staff and were told someone would be sent to rectify this.
Despite numerous reminders no one came to sort this problem. This resulted in us being unable to utilise the entire facilities as advertised as being included in our stay.
As per the consumer rights 2015, the following standards should be met.. the room should be fit for purpose, as described and of satisfactory quality. Based on this and the hotel staffs disinterest at solving this problem for us we would like to be compensated for the detrimental effect this had on our stay.
Regards
Mr Glen Metters .
8 / 10
Couldn't really fault anything, exactly what you would expect from a golf resort hotel. Clean and tidy, good bar area curiously a lot of the views are obstructed by another building in front of them. Food was good both evening meal and breakfast. One small complaint would be the room was very small, faced the car park and was located next to the block entrance.
6 / 10
Hotel is a bit tired and needs cleaning and decorating. A basic 3 star hotel.
8 / 10
Very clean apartment. great location for sight seeing the Cotswolds. Golf facilities generally good and course not too difficult but busy all the time we were there.
8 / 10
Room great.Great.breakfast.wasnt allowed in spa after paying £204 each .not in with the golf package.which is very disappointing. As my son brought his girlfriend and payed £189.(no golf)To sit in her room.
10 / 10
Hotel was excellent with very helpful staff
10 / 10
Perfect good food great course weather was near perfect
4 / 10
Room clean with quality towels and linen. Restaurant and food not up to the standard expected of a 4 star hotel. Restaurant toilets are very poor. Staff were generally friendly and helpful.
6 / 10
Whilst this is a relatively new hotel, furnished and decorated well. it was lacking in overall management concept. For instance with the tea/coffee facility, there were no spoons, the cups were odd, and there was only Earl Grey tea, and sufficient milk for two cups of tea. The evening meal was atrocious, with no menu to choose from other than a roast. It was a case of take it or leave it. The hotel did nothing to promote itself
6 / 10
The hotel room and shower room were very good. The dining facilities were poor. It was more like a canteen with absolutely no atmosphere. The food was average. We stayed two nights and were disappointed that the menu was the same for the second night minus one dessert!
A classy place it is not.
6 / 10
Golf course is great and the rooms are decent. Food was absolutely terrible (all microwaved and you’d get a better meal at a ‘spoons). The staff were ok but many were a little rude or just had no customer service. Would be a great place I’d they sort out the food/drink.
8 / 10
The room was fine but some nets or blinds up at the window would have been great,!
10 / 10
Lovely setting friendly staff and very clean room with lots of space.
8 / 10
Freindly staff, clean rooms and all areas. Golf course in decent condition.
8 / 10
Fantastic few days and good rooms with lots of space
2 / 10
Extremely disappointed !!!
Booked this for my husbands 60th birthday
Restaurant was rubbish, only had a set menu of cold food with no alternatives.
6 / 10
Restuarant felt like you were in a canteen and the meal choice was poor ! The choice was only a roast dinner and it was plated up like a school dinner !
Mine was also cold !
The bar area is very old fashioned with no atmosphere!
They need to put some music on
10 / 10
I think that as this was our second time speaks for it’s self. Given that the hotel had been shut down for 18 months they did very well to get it up and running at a very high standard. Staffing levels were not at the level they were before, but as I said given the lock down I thought very body stepped up to the plate, and the only reason we noticed was that we had been with you before. It was also nice to see that Covid regulations were in place with hand sanitisers all around. I would also like to say a big thank you to James, who arranged our booking even down to organising the buggies for our golf. All in all a very good job, and we will be back.
8 / 10
8 / 10
The site was beautiful but the room was a little tired (broken toilet seat, no wardrobe handles, dirty balcony).
The food was very good but the service at times was poor.
The golf course was excellent and the staff in the golf shop very helpful.
8 / 10
Had a superb stay, bed was comfortable and meals were good, not a massive menu so choice a bit limited. For us it was about right, we had a great weekend stay. I marked facilities down because the Toilets could do with regular checking as we found these to be unclean and did niff a bit and there was no lighting in there on one of our nights. Just one more gripe, no parasols on the restaurant veranda tables meant we had to sit in the roasting sun with no shade…… Would I return?, yes I would book again.
10 / 10
We had a huge, well equipped room overlooking the first green. Staff were welcoming, well informed and friendly. The food was excellent. All in all a great experience.

4 / 10
On arrival it took me 2 trips to the bar to get a coffee. I visited the toilet to find excrement inches the toilet and one urinal half full with urine, although reported took a long time to clean and the urinal was never fixed. The general cleanliness of the toilets and bar area I would describe and not acceptable. The toilet seat in my room was broken.
Although evening meal on Sunday was very nice, breakfast was cold.
8 / 10
6 / 10
The hotel was clean and modern although rooms a bit on the small side. Recommend requesting a room with a golf course view. Staff tried hard and were very friendly but on the whole the whole hotel was understaffed. Unfortunately the food was awful and far from restaurant quality. A 2 course set menu that did not change with no options to upgrade to a la carte. Shame really as this marred the whole trip.
8 / 10
All the rooms were ok a little tired looking in bathrooms.
Evening food good choice

Allocated a basic room that overlooked the car park but no issues at all. Very good standard for a basic room and was clean and felt Covid secure

Excellent. Very enjoyable.

We were apparently up graded to a room up some steep stairs !! All room had was bed and 1 comfy chair !
No bath in bathroom
Pro shop was chaotic and confusion over buggies
We got given noisy smelly petrol buggies on second day
8 / 10
Very disappointed that it did not include use of the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The hotel said these facilitate NOT included in the price and wanted £20 each for a session. This needs to be made clear when booking this resort

Enjoyable stay. Feedback would be; a drinks option ie coffees needs to be open before 12 noon for early round finishes. Also, the breakfast starts at 7 yet we had a 7:24 tee time. Breakfast needs to start earlier for golf packages as it was too rushed in truth. But overall, a good stay.

Room did not overlook golf course food was good evening menu did not change told they kept it same all year plenty of staff but not trained very slow service
10 / 10
Course is excellent and food was fantastic👍😀
4 / 10
Excellent room, amazing golf course, mostly very poor staff who appeared to have had no training whatsoever, appalling food, canteen style with no choice. Would possibly stay again for the great golf and great room but would not eat there under any circumstances.

The restaurant menu was limited and was the same both days. In particular, despite being advised in advance, there was only one vegan option. However, having spoken to the waiter on the first night, the situation was remedied on the second night and there were 3 vegan options.
We also did not expect to be charged an additional £20 per person to use the spa facilities.

Lovely accommodation. Rooms were modern and clean. Good food and drink. Great service too. Would definitely recommend.
10 / 10
Nice clean rooms, good food and bar area. More staff would be better as the one member had to take orders, prepare and table serve. He was rushed off his feet but did a good job.
6 / 10
The location was superb. however the room was small to an extent that it was very difficult to separate the beds to within the required 2 metres apart.
Appreciate the current restrictions and problems with COVID19 but the staff was miserable and service very slow. On a number of occasions we had to find the staff and remind them that we were waiting to be served in the bar. the restaurant was no no different and on one accession forgot our wine.
10 / 10
Really nice stay. Modern and newly built hotel block. Room a little small for a twin, but fine. Food was very nice, too. Just off A44 so easy to find.
6 / 10
Difficult to judge due to Covid and lack of room service, and reduced staff. Hygiene levels in the bar were not up to scratch. One way system not enforced. Food was excellent.
10 / 10
Fully SD compliant and all staff at pains to attend to us as everything is related to table service

Good hotel, coping well with managing covid-19 restrictions. Friendly staff and excellent rooms.

Breakfast was poor but the staff were superb and friendly

We arrived an hour before our tee off, played our round and checked in. We didn’t know we had to book a slot for dinner and breakfast, (due to Covid). The only slots left were 6pm for dinner and 7.30am for breakfast. Had we known we could have booked when we arrived prior to golf. So if you’re planning a visit bear this in mind.
Our room was comfortable, the staff friendly and our meals were okay.

Food was fantastic, staff where nice and friendly,

Very nice hotel with spacious room. Bed was comfortable if a little soft. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with delicious coffee bags and shortbread biscuits. The toiletries supplied were lovely with very nice scents.
There was a nice bar and an excellent restaurant. All the food that we had both at breakfast and dinner was delicious.
8 / 10
Room was clean large enough for a couple of nights stay. Staff all pleasant enough in trying conditions with covid rules. Service to tables could have been quicker but obvious why not.
10 / 10
Fantastic value for money. Hotel staff were very professional and helpful. And the course was in good condition. We loved our stay.
Covid 19 rules and regs were all adhered to and we get very safe.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely visit again.

Nice hotel - friendly staff

We were advised by the hotel website that there was work being undertaken at the hotel so the Spa was shut. It would have been nice if yourgolftravel informed us of this at time of booking but the hotel, staff, food, room and golf course were all very good and we had an enjoyable weekend, so overall we're happy.

The hotel & bar/restaurant staff made us feel very welcome.
The rooms are very clean & tidy.
The only thing I would suggest, change the coffee bags in the rooms to granules (they make very weak coffee)
8 / 10
Excellent shower room and spacious accommodation. The hotel throughout was far too hot and we needed to use air-con in our room. The bar and restaurant was very noisy and too hot to be comfortable. Good food for dinner and breakfast. Overall great value for money but with a few foibles.

Booked double with upgrade to suite,on arrival after round of golf, shown that suite 415 up 3flights of stairs with cases!!!only to find instead of Golf course view, view of building site!!!
Asked for room change and had to move 2 blocks to room 228,to standard room, but with view of practice putting green.
Disappointed after asking for suite.
Meals in restaurant took over 30 minutes to get served 1st course, and almost 45 minutes until we got our main, not enough staff serving and in the kitchen.
Plus the on going building work, this place will be better in 6 months time, but a bit of a disaster for us o.j. our wedding anniversary.
To add insult Your Golf offers £25 voucher if we spend £1000 on next booking, presumably to Wentworth for a week ?

Sadly the rooftop hot tub was out of order. Rooms, food and drink were excellent. Lovely welcome at reception, service from bar and catering staff not so good.
8 / 10
We had a one night stay to play golf and, although you need to be wary of rooms adjacent to the new building work, the room was well equipped and comfortable with views over the course. The restaurant was clean and the food good. Drinks well priced and a good breakfast choice. I am not sure why this had bad reviews, unless we were just lucky however we will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed this stay in a lovely hotel and the golf course was very good. Rooms were very roomy and clean. Great showers!
Food menu needed more variety on offer to make this first rate. Slightly more a golfers menu! Likewise staff to deal with the numbers in the restaurant.

We had a fabulous time great facilities wonderful staff good food and an all round exceptional stay. Look forward to our next one.
Many Thanks Shirley and Wesley Aldridge. Sue and Louis Huntley.

Lovely old course that is currently undergoing further improvements, which in no way impact on the enjoyment. Greens and tees fantastically well kept. There really are some memorable holes. The Par 3 second is wonderful.
Great rooms in the hotel. Plentiful food in the restaurant also. Very attentive staff too. Fantastic value weekend.
8 / 10
Reception staff very welcoming but bar staff and restaurant staff seemed bored and do not appear interested in the clients.
Room very comfortable but bar area looked very tired.
Food at lunch time was poor and the evening menu was limited but nice except they should put fish in the fish cakes
Spa not working.

We booked this as part of a golf trip for 8. Loved every minute of our break. Extremely friendly and warm staff. superb service, spacious accommodation, great challenging golf course very well maintained and to round it off the spa, steam room and Hot Tub. Thank you Yolanda for looking after us. we will be back.

The trip to the Cotswolds Golf and Spa was great and well worth it. 8 couples were in our group. The Hotel was very nice. The first evening meal wasn’t that great but the second suited us all fine. The breakfast were great and the 20% off bar charges was even better!.
The hotel is expanding and building two or three blocks of rooms. Some of our group complained about the noise but if they sleep with the patio door or window open backing onto gravel, you will hear everything.
All in all a great trip and great value for money

The hotel was clean, smart clubhouse . The evening menu was limited but portion sizes were big.
8 / 10
Hotel was fine we stayed one night. Annoying to be put by the stairs and lobby meant an early wake up call which we didn't want.
Don't go expecting fine dinning or good pub food. It was just average pub grub, with some more thought and care the food could be good which would add to the experience.
Overall for a night it was fine, good location nice view of the course, comfy bed
8 / 10
very good rooms nice bar over all 9 out of 10
some of the main course at dinner was not up
to standard.
8 / 10
The hotel is fairly modern but is combined with the golf course. It is OK for golfing groups but would not suit a weekend away for those who require a swimming pool as there is not one. The food is of a below pub standard, the drinks are expensive but there is a full range to suit all tastes.

I found the accommodation to be exactly what was portrayed on the website

We were on a 2 night all inclusive golf break very good golf
course well maintained excellent helpful staff. Breakfast and
evening meal were well cooked and the Barman did an excellent
job serving both drinks and looking after the dining room.
We will definitely recommend a return visit

Great reception. Good evening staff. Very good evening meal. Disappointing lunchtime experience.
Bathroom not properly cleaned.

Our room was quite adequate for an overnight stay, NIce and bright, clean and tidy, sufficient hanging space and handy for bar, reception and restaurant. Restaurant quite limited in choice but in fairness there did not seem to be many visitors present and the restaurant was quite empty. Staff very friendly and helpful.
A compact and decent place to stay. Great views and went through some lovely old typical English villages en-route. Plenty of car parking. Lots of building work in progress at the moment, looks as if this will provide some lovely accommodation in due course.

Very good accommodation well maintained and comfortable. Bulding work for extensions on going but did not deter enjoyment. All members of the party very happy!!

We had a really good couple of days. The course was in good condition and the greens were very good. The male staff were very helpful and friendly, unfortunately two female members of staff were not. After playing our round we went to the bar and ordered drinks. The Carling lager ran out and the female bar person asked if I would like something else and was put out when I said I would wait for the barrel to be changed even though she had to ask a male bar person to change it. At breakfast I had to ask a waitress if should could get some more fried eggs as they had run out. This again seemed to be a problem. After our round of golf we went to the bar for something to eat and drink. The female bar person (the
same one as at breakfast) poured our two drinks but put them on the bar in front of her, about 2 yards from where we were standing, unusual thing to do. I paid for the food and drinks using Visa contact less to pay and when I asked for a receipt the female bar person through it on the bar. I thought that was very impolite as she should have handed it to me. These things won't put me off from returning but were a little annoying.

Lovely hotel...friendly staff...clean and comfortable room...
Food very good, great portions.
Very convenient to explore beautiful surroundings of the Cotswolds, and to enjoy the golf course.
Not informed when booking about the building of new apartments adjoining the hotel, but this did not spoil our experience.
Definitely stay again.

The hotel was in a lovely location, we were upgraded to a suite overlooking the golf course which was beautiful. The rooms were modern, great decor, and facilities.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant, and the food was reasonably priced.
The spa was closed for the winter but that was ok with us as we were there to play golf.

On entering our room we were pleasantly surprised to find our accomodation was spotlessley clean and very comfortable. There were tea/coffee available in room if needed. Our room overelooked the golf course which was a pleasent surprise. The staff were extremely helpful and made us feel so welcome.

This is an excellent venue for a golf stay. Staff, food and rooms were great.
Course is a good challenge, hopefully it will recover well from the hot summer weather.

Excellent value for money golf break in a very good hotel with large and modern rooms. Walk in shower room was superb for 2 aching golfers. The 3 course meal in the evening was one of the best I’ve had in any hotel. Only downside was no proper decaf coffee and hot water boilers that were poor. Overall, I would thoroughly recommend.
8 / 10
In general really pleased with the hotel, its modern, the room were clean the beds nice and comfortable. An added bonus was our room had a great view over the golf course. Would definitely recommend this hotel and hopefully return in the future.

The Accommodation, food and facilities were good. The only criticism was concerning breakfast and the consistency of the messages given to me with reference to breakfast. On arrival at the club on Friday where we had some food before teeing off, we enquired about what time breakfast would be on the Saturday morning because we had a fairly early tee off time of 8.28am. We were told by the barman that breakfast was served from 7am, which of course would be ok. We played our afternoon round and then checked in. At check in we were advised that breakfast would be served on Saturday from 8am, to which I informed the check in staff that a) we had been advised by the barman earlier that it was from 7am and b) if it was 8am how on earth had the Club allocated us a 8.28 tee time which clearly would not give us enough time to have breakfast and be on the tee in time to play. The Check in person asked me who was the person that had told me 7am. I told him that I did not know his name. He said he would look into it and see what he could do. He called me when I was in my room circa 15 minutes;later and informed me that he had moved our tee times to 8.44 and 8.50am which was the best he could do. I thanked him. Later when we were ordering Dinner I spoke to the waiter that I still had a concern that we would not have enough time to have our breakfast in the morning and asked if we turned up at 7.50am could we have it 10 minutes earlier than the 8am start. He thought this would be ok and would leave a message for the Breakfast staff. We turned up at 7.50 and whilst we could help ourselves to coffee and cereal etc no hot food was available until 8.05am. At 8am I had to go and find out why the hot food was not on time. Whilst we had been given a slightly later tee off we still had to hurry our breakfasts. A pity because everything else was good. Would I recommend the Hotel and Golf? Yes, as long as they allocated any tee times at least an hour after breakfast is served.

The hotel and food were excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. The golf course was in very good condition and greens very fast.It is suitable for players of all handicaps and I would certainly recommend it.Thank you John Paul for all your help.
