- 1 Round at Championship East Course

Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club boasts two excellent parkland golf courses along with fantastic golfing facilities, making it one of the premier golfing destinations around Edinburgh.
James Braid designed both the Championship East and West courses which are set within 1,000 acres of glorious woodland with elevation changes making for some challenging lies as well as serving up fine views of the Pentland Hills to the south.
Dalmahoy has hosted a number of top events on the golfing calendar including the Solheim Cup, the Scottish Senior Open and the Scottish PGA Championships, to demonstrate the quality of this Scottish resort.
1 Night, 2 Rounds
2 Nights, 2 Rounds
The East Course has been host to major events such as the Solheim Cup, the Scottish PGA and the Scottish Seniors Open to name a few.
Nicknamed ‘The Beast’ this course is a true challenge for even the very best golfers demanding a combination of raw power and a precise short game to be able to score. The fairways are wide and mostly forgiving (except for a few cunningly placed bunkers by James Braid), so you’re able to open the shoulders and really go for it on most tees. The greens are large and receptive, meaning you should have a large target to aim at if you can keep the ball in play off the tee.
Following a renovation in 2005, Dalmahoy added two new holes in the trees (13th & 14th) which are now two of the East’s signature holes alongside the impressive 18th. These two holes are much tighter with narrower fairways and plenty of hazards to avoid. A stern test for every golfer!
| Par | 73 |

| White | 6,956 yards | SSS 74 |
| Yellow | 6,684 yards | SSS 73 |

While the Resort West Course is much, shorter, it still offers a good test, and complements its monster brother extremely well. Accuracy is more important here, with tighter fairways and smaller greens, and the course demands a good finish as golfers negotiate the Gogar Burn.

The hotel at Dalmahoy offers superb accommodation and top-class leisure facilities in a country club environment. Add this to the fact that Edinburgh's legendary city centre is a mere 7 miles away, and it is clear that Dalmahoy is a fantastic destination for a golf break.
The building itself is a converted baronial manor, overlooking the Pentland Hills to the south and hundreds of acres of glorious countryside that would defy the hotel's location next to Scotland's capital city.
The 203 bedrooms and 12 suites are all of an excellent standard, offering guests all the facilities and comforts that are expected from a good 4-star hotel.
The Pentland Restaurant serves innovative international cuisine, while comforting classics are available in the Long Weekend Café Bar. Alternatively eat in one of central Edinburgh's top restaurants, including Martin Wishart, La Garrigue, The Tower, or the Witchery.
Drink on bustling George Street for classy bars, or on the Royal Mile for traditional pubs.

Disappointing. We arrived on Friday afternoon after attending the Scottish Open to find a wedding reception ongoing. This meant the Brasserie restaurant and bar facility was unavailable as it was exclusively for the receptions use. On checking into the rooms, one had a degree of mould around the bathroom ceiling edges. We requested an alternative room but the hotel was fully booked. A rudimentary clean was carried out. The main Pentland Restaurant evening menu was inadequate. My wife who is fundamentally vegetarian had only one poor option as a main course. On asking if the kitchen could provide a simple omelette (an option on the breakfast menu) this was declined. She was reduced to ordering a simple salad from the Starters list and some potatoes from the side dishes. Both the Pentland and Brasserie restaurant menus are very limited if you are vegetarian. The following day, another wedding reception was in full swing. As a result the main hotel bar and eating facilities were unavailable when we finished our round in the afternoon. It would appear that residents at the hotel come second to any wedding reception parties, as all the expected hotel facilities are not available. Additionally, I find it bizarre that a 'Golf Hotel,' does not have Sky Sports in the bedrooms; this is a basic requirement. I would not recommend this hotel and we shall not stay there again. I am happy to discuss any of the above with you.

A two night stay with 2 rounds, one on each of the two courses. We are regulars at this hotel which we find to be extremely comfortable, very clean and presentable with exceptionally friendly and efficient staff. The food in the Pentland was of a good standard with a varied menu suitable for all tastes. We'll be back again next year

The accommodations looks beautiful from the exterior. Inside, the rooms are quite dated and basic. However, the food in the restaurant is very good. Breakfast could improve with better replenishment at busy times.

A long track with multiple par 4s over 400 yards, so pick carefully depending on your groups handicaps. A strong and challenging set up, good last round of the 3 we had booked in our package.

Great little track and good as a first round after travel to the venue. Suffering a bit from the cold start to the year - some rain and heat will help the green keepers hugely!
