The Firecliff Course at Desert Willow is the tougher test of the two, meaning lower handicappers and experienced players will be more at home here. The course measures a touch over 7,000 yards from the back tees although multiple tee positions can reduce the course to a minimum of 5,079 yards thus making it more manageable to the less experienced player. Perfectly manicured fairways weave their way through great expanses of rugged Californian desert, numerous water features and countless bunkers and natural desert waste areas, leading to well contoured greens that are both quick and true.
The Mountain View course, as the name suggests, boasts stunning views of the surrounding desert landscape and the mountains beyond and provides a gentler test for those who are after a more relaxing round of golf. Laid down over gently rolling desert terrain, the Mountain View course features generous fairways which allow the player to safely get the ball in play. From there the challenge begins as the perfect putting surfaces are on the small side with the additional challenge of being well protected by the excellent bunkering.
Desert Willow also boasts top class practice facilities where visiting golfers can brush up on their skills before tackling the main attractions as well as a magnificent clubhouse which boasts an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a refreshing drink or bit to eat while taking in the sights and sounds of the desert.
