The par-71 course was designed by Antonio Garrido, once a famous European Tour professional and now an esteemed golf architect, and the greens, tees, drainage and irrigation systems have been constructed in accordance with USGA guidelines. Measuring 6,584 yards from the championship tees, the most notable characteristic of the course is the enormous greens, some of which exceed 1,000 sq. metres.
The opening nine is the more demanding of the two, with tight tree-lined fairways and a number of water hazards, while the closing stretch is more forgiving, but affords superb views of the famous coastline. Doña Julia has established itself as one of the premier courses along the illustrious Coasta del Sol stretch, and is a beautiful place to enjoy a round of golf.
