Designed in 1909 by Harry Vardon and later altered by Dr. Alister Mackenzie the pedigree speaks for itself in this outstanding design.

Furthermore, in recent years the course has been the subject of a redesign programme lead by the legendary Peter McEvoy, as a result of which the greens and tees are all built along USGA specifications ensuring brilliant putting surfaces year round.

Douglas Golf Course

Originally designed in 1909 by the famous 6-time Open Champion Harry Vardon who set the foundation for this fantastic golf course. It was later altered by Dr. Alister Mackenzie in 1924. Mackenzie is considered by many to be the greatest golf course architects of all time with his designs at Augusta National, Cypress Point and Royal Melbourne some of the best in the world.

With this outstanding architectural pedigree you know that you are in for a wonderful round and a great design. Furthermore in 2005 the course has been re-modified to modernise the golf course with heavy upgrading done to all greens to ensure they are in great condition year round.
