Gleddoch House Hotel

The hotel is in an idilic location with great views. The rooms and facilities are of a high standard, the only let down was an over bath shower, which was awkward to get in and out of because of a high bath and no grab rail, also there was no anti slip mat as soap suds made the bath surface slippery.

We really enjoyed every part of our visit. Food, course, facilities and staff were all great & very accommodating. the reason for the poor VFM was simply booking it through golf travel, we added up the 2rounds pf golf, the room and the dinner and we only saved £10. Due to me being pregnant and unable to golf, i had asked fir my rounds to be exchanged for spa treatment(s) however golf travel were unable to provide this which as a broker with the hotel is poor and therefore the "deal" was not a deal. Due to the staff being very friendly & accommodating, I have a feeling had i dealt directly with them myself i would have managed exchange my 2rounds (worth £120) for spa treatment(s) instead of getting a "reduced non golfer rate" and having to pay for my treatments.

Superb country house hotel in a lovely setting overlooking the River Clyde. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay for our weekend away. The location, staff, room and restaurant were first class. Thanks for making our visit so memorable.

All very nice but they are slightly disorganised. You had booked us in for dinner both nights but that had not through to restaurant. They coped but could have been a problem as there was a coach party. Spa is super, lovely outdoor hot tub overlooking Clyde. Cuisine excellent. No complaints.

The course is very idilic, again with great views, however the course was very boggy in areas due to past weather conditions, making buggies unusable. We had booked buggies, however the golf shop had reserved electric trollies for our party for both days which meant we could play as due to our age group carrying bags is a no no. Overall very happy withthe golfing aspect of our trip.

Really great and well kept course. I believe in stronger winds / rainy conditions, like any course this would get harder, i was lucky with the weather but it was great to play.

The course had taken a beating over the warm months but was otherwise a reasonably nice course.

Thoroughly enjoyable round on this parkland course. In remarkable condition considering the rain in the few days prior to our visit. The views from the top of the course are spectacular. Only gripe is that a course map would have been useful on the score card or better signage to the next holes on the front nine.

Very steep and very wet. Panoramic views. First day no buggies allowed as too wet but got 1 battery trolley and 1 pull trolley. Lost our way and missed out 4 holes which turned out to be a blessing!Absolutely knackered. Second day got buggy after some negotiation as they seem to have only a few. We are both 75 and need a buggy so this might have been an issue but we coped. We'd only go back if certain to get buggy but over the piece we enjoyed it. The location is really superb.
