Bordered by stunning vineyards and pine-covered hills, the blank canvas allowed Pete Dye to realise his ultimate design philosophy: to combine natural beauty harmoniously with technical flair. The course has many dramatic holes - during your round you will have to drive over great vineyards and negotiate the biggest green in continental Europe, at 69 yards long!
Barbaroux is certainly a difficult test; the greens are extremely subtle, and the tricky holes will favour the more creative golfer, but the spectacular Provençal backdrop will be enough to satisfy every visitor, even if the scorecard makes ugly reading!
This 6,636-yard cracker has visitors returning year after year, and makes for a superb golf holiday within easy reach of the Mediterranean coastline.
Barbaroux benefits from 300 days of sunshine each year - this is the place for sun-seeking golfers!
