Not only is the hotel a mere 4-minute walk to the beach, it also contains plenty to keep everyone happy within the hotel complex such as a 6 acre water park and two glorious 18 hole golf courses with one of them being a Jack Nicklaus signature course and the other being the work of 8 time major winning champion, Tom Watson.

There are also state of the art spa facilities at the resort so if you prefer to be pampered all day rather than play golf then this is the perfect place for you.

The Oceanside Course

Like any Jack Nicklaus Signature course, The Ocean Course at Hammock Beach Resort has received a vast number of different accolades that only reinforce how beautiful a course this is. In 2009 it was the 7th best Jack Nicklaus course you can play and in the same year it was recognised as the 12th best course in the state in terms of its architecture. A couple of years prior to this in 2007, it was also voted to be the 53rd best resort course in the world. Having hosted the 2008 Ginn Championship on The Champions Tour, the tournament was won by 2 times Green Jacket winner Bernhard Langer.

This fabulous top 100 golf course was designed by no other than the legendary Jack Nicklaus. The course fabulous integrates the natural surroundings with classic golfing holes. Not only do you play through, over and around the lakes but 6 of the holes on the course skirt the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. 4 of these 6 are the infamous “Bear Claw” which has been responsible for ruining many a golfer’s round over the years.

The Conservatory Course

The course is designed by Tom Watson so it is no wonder that the course is beautiful but requires serious skill to get your way around it. Furthermore, the conservatory has also won a number of awards under their belt such as the number 3 course in America in 2008 and in 2010 it was the 40th best tour course that the public can play. This still however, doesn't do the course its full justice as the stunning views of the lakes make it one of the most picturesque courses in Florida. The Conservatory Course is not shy of having some of PGA Tours biggest names roaming its fairways either and in 2008 when it hosted the Ginn sur Mer Classic, Ryan Palmer claimed the trophy for his second win on the PGA Tour and first in 4 years.

Known as being the longest and hardest course in the state, the conservatory course provides golfers with a unique challenge that they won’t find anywhere else. Comprised of 140 acres of land and 76 acres of this being water it is no wonder that people struggle to play to their handicap round this monster. As well as water being a hazard, there are also 143 bunkers on the course which is an average of 7 per hole.
