The Championship Course is Hawkstone Park’s youngest layout and has made this venue one of the few in the West Midlands to boast 36 holes of championship golf. Weighing in at 6,763 yards it is noticeably longer than the Hawkstone Course and features many Americanisms – including generous fairways and large water hazards – which create an interesting juxtaposition with the stunning, and very English surroundings

The golf complex at Hawkstone Park extends to forty two holes, giving visiting golfers excellent variety. The 18-hole Hawkstone Course is where a young Sandy Lyle learnt his trade and it boasts some excellent holes. Particular highlights come around the turn and include holes such as the 12th, which has cleverly made use of the castle’s moat. Measuring 6,487 yards, this course is long enough to pose a question of even the best player’s golf game while not being overbearing for the lesser equipped player.
Signature hole: The 10th on the Hawkstone is the resort's signature; named ‘The Road Hole', the 518 yard par-5 hugs the dramatic cliff top.

The six-hole Academy Course is especially useful for beginners but also offers a good opportunity for more experienced players to work on their short game or to simply enjoy some golf should they be pressed for time. Hawkstone Park also boasts good practice facilities including a 20-bay driving range an extensive short game area with both putting and chipping greens.
The on-site Hawkstone Park Hotel has 66 refurbished bedrooms, which makes life easy for a golf break. You're based on the estate, so there's no faff with taxis or driving between rounds, and you can finish up, grab a drink and be back in your room in minutes.
Rooms are modern, comfortable and geared towards short-stay weekends, with flat-screen satellite TVs and the sort of layout that works well for golf buddies sharing. Good sized twin with excellent nearly new en suite situated very close to the Hawkstone. Evening meal was excellent with a good choice breakfast buffet. Externally, the buildings could do with some cosmetic improvement which I am sure is part of the plan.

Rooms were clean and in good condition. Staff were helpful and welcoming. We were able to book a table in the restaurant at a time that suited us and the food was good.

Great stay at Hawkstone Park last weekend. The staff could not do more to make you feel welcome and comfortable and the food and drink were excellent. Rooms are a little on the small side but well appointed and comfortable. Air conditioning would be useful had it been warmer.

The original course with excellent fairways and greens. In parts, a thing of beauty, with some stunning scenery. Preferred this to the Championship course. A good test of golf. A single track road runs alongside the course which was being heavily used. A bit irritating as it slowed the pace of play. Very enjoyable otherwise.

A good test of golf attractively laid out. Prolonged heat has had an effect on course conditions, but overall, it was being well maintained. The greens were undergoing some necessary work. Fairway proximity between some holes meant there was occasional golf using the wrong fairway. Enjoyable.

Enjoyable round of golf on a well presented course. Very hilly so would recommend a buggy if the weather is hot, as it was when we played. The only downside was a very noisy group who showed little consideration for others on the course.

Nice course with plenty of interest especially with the wind blowing. Pace of play was very slow on our first round due to a large group - the Alsager Ladies - out ahead of us. We often had three groups waiting on a tee box so I'd suggest a Course Marshall to keep things moving along at a decent pace would be an excellent addition when the course is busy. Our second round was fine

This is the longer of the 2 courses and with water - less aiming posts. Still a lovely course and greens are also difficult to read. Some lovely holes on this course also. Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 days hospitality & golf courses and will definitely go back again very soon.

I put hard as you need to play it once or twice cos know it. This is the more scenic course & the course that got best feedback. Too many fairway aiming posts for some but greens were very good and hard to read - really good test! Great course.
