The golf club at Hilversum has hosted no less than eleven Dutch Opens and as such it is entrenched among the elite of golfing venues in the Netherlands. While it may be very exclusive and have a reputation as one of the more austere and traditional clubs in the area, Hilversum remains accessible to visitors on a limited basis.

Established in 1895 by John Duncan Dunn the course was extended in 1928 to a full 18 holes by the esteemed golf architect Harry Colt.

Even though the golf course has hosted the European Tour's finest as recently as 2006, the club enlisted the spectacular and renowned skills of Kyle Phillips - Kingsbarns and Dundonald designer - to revise a few details and ensure that the layout remained relevant for tournament play in spite of technological advancements.

Amid beautiful woodland, Hilversum is a widely respected layout, and is the perfect heathland complement to the seaside classics strung along the North Sea coastline.
