The golf course at Holyhead is among the best courses in North Wales, offering outstanding championship golf and equally impressive views. Just a mile from the port of Holyhead, the course looks out over the Irish Sea, and also towards the peaks of Snowdonia.

Holyhead Golf Club

Holyhead’s golf course was designed by James Braid, the man responsible for a countless number of the most outstanding links and heathland courses in the United Kingdom. From the back tees, the course stretches to 6,090 yards, which is not long by modern standards, but there is no little challenge around Holyhead.

Narrow and undulating fairways are bordered by gorse, heather and bracken, which are extremely punishing for the wayward. This traditional club has changed little since its formative years and remains one of the very best to include in a golf tour of North West Wales.

Each twin room has its own washbasin and there are ample showers and toilets within the dormy house. Coffee and tea facilities are also available in every room. A bar and snooker room are available to all guests with meals served in the clubhouse.
