Hunley Golf Club is located on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast and sits alongside the very popular seaside town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea. The venue itself boasts 6 en-suite bedrooms, a self catering lodge that can sleep up to 6 people and 27 beautifully designed golf holes.
The Golf Course itself has hosted the EuroPro Tour on two separate occasions, the first in 2011 and again in 2012. Thanks to its 27 holes, Hunley is able to rotate the course layout. This means that you could play one course layout one day and another course layout the next.
If that wasn't enough Hunley also has a 9 bay driving range with the latest PowerTee technology and a bar that shows live sport, serves fresh food and offers a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
All the above can be enjoyed with some amazing views of Yorkshire and the beautiful coast and cliffs.

he Morgan's Course is named after its designer, John Morgan and is the longest and most challenging course on Hunley's rotation. Tricky doglegs, plateau greens and fearsome water hazards are characteristic of a Morgan's layout, while the signature hole 'Snaiths' offers fantastic views over the entire golf course, North Yorkshire Coastline and Boulby Cliffs.

The Imperial Course is widely regarded as Hunley's most exciting layout and utilises the most difficult and most scorable holes on the golf course. It may also be the most spectacular as it affords unrivalled views across the North Yorkshire Coastline and Boulby Cliffs.
One of the most exciting holes is surely the 8th, named ‘Dicken's Dilemma', which is a short par-3 over a threatening water hazard.
| White | 6,543 yards | SSS 71.9 |

| Yellow | 6,232 yards | SSS 69.9 |
| Red | 5,468 yards | SSS 71.6 |
The Jubilee Course is the easiest of Hunley's three layouts to make a score on but don't get complacent as any wayward shots will still get punished. The course has five par 5 holes, four of which are reachable for the big hitters and six par 3 holes. This is an enjoyable course layout and offers plenty of chances to pick up a few shots to par.

| Red | 5,139 yards | SSS 70.0 |
Located just a few minutes from the seaside resort town of Saltburn-by-the Sea and only a 30 minute drive from Whitby, Hunley Golf Club has all the elements required for the perfect golf break.
No matter whether you are coming for a full golf experience or just a night away, you will not be disappointed with what this venue and the surrounding areas have to offer.
With 6 en-suite bedrooms and a self catering lodge that sleeps up to 6 people, Hunley Golf Club is extremely fortunate to be able to provide its members and guests with fantastic views across the North Yorkshire Coastline and the amazing Boulby Cliffs. 2 rounds of golf, dinner, bed and breakfast - good value deal. Staff working hard - good sea views from our rooms. Hotel looks like recent refurbishment, clean, well equipped. Location worked well as I was coming down from Scotland and mate up from london. Saltburn was £7.50 in a taxi, few bars there which were fine. Enjoyed the course , hilly first few holes then levels off, rough was punishing but plenty of reachable par 5s bit of water and the greens were good nick. Driving range to warm up on which I needed.. Cooked breakfast better than dinner - for the price - good value.

A rather basic hotel, but comfortable. Food was perfect for a one night stay, limited menu but this may have been COVID related. Staff were really helpful.

More like a glorified club house. Restaurant decor and size poor. Food OK. Rooms were basic

Room at hotel was excellent however restaurant was diabolical. Very limited choice and quality of food was not what anyone would expect Also we were advised breakfast would not be available until after 9.00.a.m.as chef only came in then meaning a rush to have everything sorted for our pre booked 10 am tee time

Rooms for 24 golfers to pull together could have been a nightmare, but it wasn't. Reception staff had all of our check in registrations printed off and together in a pack for everyone to complete. We did this over a coffee and also chose our evening meals there and then. Very efficient and the staff were fantastic throughout our stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

For the price the room was one of the largest I have ever had and we were fortunate enough to have a spectacular view of the course and the sea. The room was comfortable and well furnished, the coffee maker could have included the instructions for use! Both the evening meal and breakfast were most enjoyable and the choice was unrestricted and all included in the fabulous price we paid.

Not many folk on the course so we got round quickly. The greens were in excellent condition considering that the two days previous were the wettest days of the year. Weather was good but if the wind got up it would be a different story with the course being on the coast. Shot 34pts both days.

Lovely to look at but tricky due to sloping fairways so need to watch direction very carefully. The course is a vrery good test and even a high handicapper like myself can do well if care is taken.

Interesting course due to the mix and match of different 9 holes on each day. Stunning views from the course. Challenging greens but not too difficult for a 32 handicap or too easy for a 14!

excellent courses, first round on jubilee was a bit slow but mainly due to wayward driving in strong winds and heavy rough
Steve

I rated hard because the wind was blowing. On a still day the amount of run on the ball (in June) would have made it averagely difficult. Greens were tricky (and therefore enjoyable) - avoid the rough - if you don't, particularly if it's wet, just take a wedge to get back to the fairway ;-)

A real hidden Gem. Played the Imperial layout and when the wind blows it's a great course. I recommend to play off the white tees as it is quite short, but this truly is a lovely course and the entire party was pleasantly surprised. Will be back.

We played the imperial course Saturday and the Morgan course on the Sunday. The course has something for everyone, well maintained and the greens were contoured to challenge everyone.

When the wind is present as it was on the first day the course is difficult and course management essential which is easier said than done for a middle handicap player. On the second day there was no wind at all and the high straight drives stayed that way. Greens were all good and not straight forward, well positioned bunkers and water hazards that really shouldn't have come into play!! We walked the first nine on day one but grabbed a buggy at the turn because it made sense. The buggies were not expensive and are highly recommended. All in all we played 27 different holes over the 2 courses and did not have to wait on any hole any longer than waiting for those in front to play their second shots. The golfing experience alone made the visit worthwhile, the whole package though made it an excellent break and a return visit is on the cards.
