Llandrindod Wells Golf Club has had the two of the most prolific golfers ever involved in the design process, originally designed by Harry Vardon and later altered by James Braid, the 18-hole layout is simply sensational.

Set on the hillside, there are few flat shots during your round, the location of the course affords breathtaking views across the valley and of the nearby Llandrindod Wells town. With over a 100 years of history, the club is home to the Golf Union of Wales Individual Handicap Championship, indicating its status and quality among Welsh golfers.

Llandrindod Wells

The course remains relatively unchanged since it's inception, using the natural geography of the land to it's advantage, course management is very important to ensure you have as few blind approaches as possible. Llandrindod Wells describe themselves as 'Upland Links', with the course maintaining many similar characteristics as you would expect from traditional links.

The signature hole is appropriately named 'Death or Glory', at 297 yards, the 18th hole gives golfers the option to take an iron and play safe, or attack the green with a 250 yard carry over a deep valley, the hole really has the potential to ruin your scorecard.
