Just one look at the Championship Course at Lykia Links and visitors will be struck with awe. At times reminiscent of Kingsbarns, the course is carved along the Mediterranean coastline, with some mind-blowing holes that live long in the memory.
Each individual hole is beautifully sculpted, and bordered with vast areas of sandy scrubland, giving Lykia a genuinely rugged links feel. The stretch from 13 to 17 is the most enchanting at Lykia, caved through the dunes along the coastline – be sure to avoid the treacherous pot bunkers.
Perry Dye has manufactured a modern masterpiece with his Championship Course, which has catapulted the Lykia Links to the forefront of golf in the increasingly popular golfing hot spot of Belek.
Lykia Links is ranked as one of the best courses in Turkey

A great test of golf - we found the greens to be fast and at times difficult to read - fairways and tees very good - clubhouse was excellent as were practise and putting greens

Tough links style course with lovely views of the sea. Made tougher and longer by some recent heavy rain and fairways which had no run on them. The greens were left pretty long which made them very slow. Reception made a point of publishing the stump at 8 but it seemed even slower than that. The second day we played they had sanded all the greens which made them poor to putt on and we are disappointed as we chose this time of year to avoid these green conditions.

Biggest issue for my group....no buggies which I was assured would be no problem.

Hardest test of golf on the trip with the wind and playing off the white pots at nearly 6900 yards. Do highly recommend as a totally different test to virtually all the other Belek courses.

Does what it says on the tin; Links style golf. Naturally beautiful and well designed. Did not appear as manicured as other courses but was overall good. Greens were smooth but slightly slower than the other courses we played. Do not play of black or white tees unless you are a very good player wanting a real test. Our party started on the white tees but moved over to the shorter gold tees after three holes. We were happy with this and recommended to do so by the Marshall, who also intervened with the groups in front. Much better pace of play afterwards. Welcome here was very friendly and these were our cheapest buggies of the week.

A nice alternative to the regular tree lined courses in the area. The only negative was the fake clothing in the pro shop

They were unable to provide buggies for all my group which was unfortunate. Interesting course very different to anything else in Belek region.

Teed off at 1pm and due to the slow play we left the course on 15. It was dark. Pulled onto a tee box on the back 9 and there were 8 people already waiting on the tee before us, 20-30 mins delay, ridiculous

We were disapointed with the course compared to the last year. Lykia course has great potential but not maintained properly this year, not enough buggies, poorly organised, and YourGolfTravel booked for us twighlight tee off times!! Twice!!! Even I started booking in March

Quite a lot of rough, interesting greens, amazing scenery. Lovely to play by the sea. 40 minutes drive from the other Belek courses, but worth it.

Awful staff hotel facilities. I’ve seen warzones up held to a higher standard

Course was in terrible condition. Tee’s were needed cut and divots filled. Greens were a disgrace. Would not play or recommend this course to anyone which is a shame as has potential to be a great course if looked after better

Good links course on the Mediterranean. Generous fairways but if you miss them, it is lost ball. I found the greens ran true but they were difficult to read. I would recommend playing here. Thanks to Zaneb and here team. Andrew Connell

A proper test of golf on a links course that you would be hard to find similar in Turkey!

Apart from the condition which was average, there two other issues with LYKIA. 1. It was extremely dangerous due to some "not so experienced" golfers being able to control the direction of their shots. On two or three occasions a few centimetres could easily have caused a medical emergency. 2. It's not a links course and the suggestion in the name is very misleading.

Greens tees and fairways very good golf a little slow at times but a good test of golf for all handicaps

A great design with some visually stunning holes. The type of grass made recovery from the rough very difficult and the greens were slow.

Course just reopened. No buggies allowed. Grass needed cutting.

Course had been re-seeded so greens and fairways slow due to them wanting growth. Also would not allow buggies so had to use pull trolleys which on a hot hillish course was a real chore. As one of our group had diabetes we had to ask for buggies at the turn which they supplied so made the back 9 better. In all potentially a great course but would have been good to be made aware of the on going course work. Also like a lot of Turkey it’s seems like they initially build everything to a high standard but there is no on-going maintenance program to keep the standard up. We went to Kindrye shopping centre and it had obviously been built to a decent standard at some point but was run down to an extent that it looked like a bomb had hit it. Quite intimidating at times and again only interested if you are spending money. Would have spent more if they just leaved us alone.

We were originally really looking forward to this course as a welcomed break for the other "resort courses" we were playing. That being said, we realised when we arrived in Belek that it was a little further away than we thought - 35 minutes from Titanic Deluxe to Lykia World. As a result, I recommend either booking Transfers with YGT (we didn't) or using a local transfer company (not Taxis) to get there. We were quoted 45 euro each way in a Taxi and ended up getting a 20 euro each way transfer arranged locally. Once we got there however we were glad we made the effort. It was much quieter than all of the other courses so we had almost no waiting around. Whilst it is very much a Links style course to the eye, it doesn't always play like one due to the types of grass they need to use in the Belek area. That being said there are many of the Links characteristics and it was one of the more enjoyable of the 6 rounds we played. Despite the yellow tees having a 74 SSS we all actually scored pretty well considering many of the holes are into the sea breeze. I'd definitely recommend a visit if you can accommodate the transfer time into your schedule.
