Marco Simone Golf & Country Club is located just 30 minutes northeast of Rome and boasts a glorious championship standard golf course. The headline layout at the club is the Ryder Cup Course and in 2023 it became only the 3rd course on continental Europe to host arguably golf's biggest tournament; the Ryder Cup.

The fact that it hosted the Ryder Cup is testament to how good the course is and proves it really is a gem in Italy’s golfing crown. Throughout the round golfers are treated to unrivalled views of the stunning natural landscape with the course being one of the most aesthetically pleasing in the region with beautiful lakes and the Marco Simone Castle being the backdrop to some of the holes.

Marco Simone Golf Club has a superb 19th hole where guests are treated to panoramic views and is the perfect setting for a couple of post round beers.

Marco Simone Golf and Country Club

Ryder Cup Course

Course designer Jim Fazio has been responsible for the creation of some of the best courses in the world having masterminded courses like Trump National in New York and Lost Lakes Golf Club, Florida both of which are widely revered as 2 of the most beautiful courses in America.

The Championship Course at Marcio Simone Golf Club is the headline course and boasts 18 fantastically designed holes that weave through the stunning natural landscape. The course features undulating fairways, small greens that are often well protected and some of the best tee shots in the country.

Signature hole: 2nd hole, par 3

The signature hole is considered to bet the par 3, 2nd hole which measures in 185 yards and is arguably the most picturesque on the course. The small green is a feature of the course and is guarded by a lake at the front which awaits any errant tee shots. The 2nd provides the best views of the Marco Simone Castle as this lies behind the golf club. Another of the stand out holes on the course is the 546 yard, par 5 1st hole which plays downhill with a slight dog left to the right. For the longer hitters the green is reachable in 2 but there is plenty of risk and reward associated in doing so as the green is heavily guarded by bunkers and a lake meaning laying up is the best option.
