- 1 round at Meyrick Park Golf Club
Meyrick Park is a stunning parkland golf course, located in central Bournemouth itself. The course was established in 1894 and the resort came along late in 2000. The course is a fantastic tree-lined test that follows the undulating landscape beautifully, offering a delightful round of golf for every visitor and is arguably one of the best in the area.
The resort is only 5 minutes from the city centre so you get all the facilities of a resort combined with the beach and nightlife of a seaside town, the perfect combination.
The resort has a Lodge building to rest your head, a health club to relax in after golf and two bars to unwind late into evening.

Upon seeing Meyrick Park's full distance of 5,689 yards, the long hitters will be rubbing their hands with glee, but it is more than likely that Tom Dunn's par-69 layout will have the last laugh; lining the rolling fairways are banks of thick, verdant woodland that will seriously punish any wayward striking from the tee. The course opens with a tough par-3, while one of the best holes on the way home is the par-5 14th. Meyrick Park's charms have helped to establish it as firm Bournemouth tour favourite.
Make sure you limber up before tackling Meyrick Park, as the opening hole is a demanding par-3, where the small putting surface is 244 yards away.
The course's main feature is that every hole is different and will make you use every shot in the bag.
The Lodge situated in Meyrick Park golf course offers 17 en-suite twin bedrooms all furnished to the highest standard, providing wonderful views over the golf course. It is the perfect location being only a 10 minute walk from Bournemouth's shops and beaches.
The Health Club is one of the most extensive and modern in the whole of Bournemouth and has a wide selection of equipment to fill all your needs. The Spa has one of the biggest indoor pools in the area at 19 meters long and is accompanied by a sauna and steam room. You can relax even further with a spa treatment in the Temple beauty area. The hotel offers Bed & Breakfast rates to give you option of dinning in at their onsite restaurant or popping into Bournemouth to sample one of the many restaurants that will cover a variety of tastes.

Very dated rooms. Could not stand up in the shower without hitting my head on ceiling. Breakfast was good and bar food good. Drinks expensive and bar shut to early 8.00pm on a Saturday night no choice but to go into Town.

A small lodge consisting of 17 clean & comfortable rooms each accommodating 2 persons in either double or twin settings . Set just a short walk from the bar/restaurant and golf club and more or less adjacent to the first tee .

Great stay overall and have to say the food was excellent! We were told the restaurant would close at 8pm but were disappointed that the bar also closed at 8. Not a huge issue as we were close to town and made it out for a couple of drinks. The hotel would have made a decent amount of money by staying open for 2 extra hours with 14 thirsty men in the party!

The golf itself was fine but the reception we got was amateur at best. Facilities were very sparse and pro shop and club bar were closed when we finished our round at c 2:30pm. Not a course to come back to unless the facilities were improved dramatically.

The introduction to Meyrick Park starts with a king of par 3s as the first holes sweeps across a valley to a green perched high on the opposite hill top . From then on the course meanders through woodland offering many different aspects to your game .

A lot of elevated tees. Fairways were poor with a lot of bare patches. Most of the fairways were a burnt yellow colour. The club house was closed when we finished at 2pm

Very quirky with fantastic par 3s. Lot of people walking their dogs which slowed down the golf

The course was better than expected from reading previous reviews, very good course with great verity of holes, the only criticism is that many of the fairways were very hard and sparse of grass, we will play this again.

This is a great course for the money. Very tight in places and the first few par 3’s are brutal! As it’s not very long it’s playable for every level. The greens were good but some tee boxes weren’t in good condition with the par 4 17th tee requiring a mat. But definitely worth playing as every hole got you thinking.

Some of the holes were a bit boring but as you go through the round you start to see some really interesting and challenging holes. Don't be fooled by some of the early holes and the first hole is a tough opener ! I liked the course be careful of the dog walkers there are hundreds of them.

The setup was great the layout was good, it felt like a municipal course with the amount of dog walkers everywhere, the area had suffered from recent dry weather and fairways were poor. Greens not bad, clubhouse and facilities were good

Worst course I’ve ever played There are no fairways. Baron land, if you can find grass to play your ball off it’s a miracle. Tees ok, greens ok, the condition of the fairways was just unbelievable. Steer clear.

Very very poor fairways - pretty much like scrubland. Greens and approaches were fine but fundamentally let down by the fairways. Dog walkers appear from nowhere without warning - not great.

Some difficult yet interesting holes on this course. Fairways were a bit bare but greens in good nick. Very small clubhouse which had run out of beer by the time we arrived back
