Designed by the great Jack Nicklaus, Old Corkscrew measures a lengthy 7,393 yards from the back tees and plays to a par of 72. Thankfully for the higher handicappers there are multiple tee positions and considering the course is fraught with danger at every turn, it is wise to select a set of tees that will be suited to your ability.

As with many Nicklaus courses, Old Corkscrew bears many features that The Golden Bear considers paramount when designing a championship course. Fairways are generous and beautifully contoured and thanks to the clever routing of the holes players will really have to think their way around, hitting an array of imaginative shots along the way.

Rows of cypress, old growth pines, live oaks and vast expanses of natural wetland provide a habitat for nesting colonies of wood storks, egrets and herons, meaning golfers can really enjoy the walk as well as the fantastic layout laid down by arguably the game’s greatest player.
