The rooms were incorrectly managed and many of us were not in the hotel but in non-serviced accommodation for five days. There was no clear explanation of all-inclusive ending at 10.30pm. Booked meal in the Greek restaurant that the 8 guests rated as one of their worst food experiences in a restaurant. Transport was messy for bringing people to hotel. Was told only one transfer available but people were coming in on flights all over europe. The problem with the whole complex is management not good enough for the level of facilities.

Really poorly organised accommodation is dated and needs serious work to get it to a reasonable standard.

Hotel was functional and did what we needed , some of the staff were really hard work , struggled With English on a basic level and sometimes rude , the food was basic and not great and the retail Menu was very hardwork , the staff didn’t seem to like you deviating from the all inclusive menu, half the restaurants were closed and only one bar was open , although the golf course was really Nice and the hotel was functional we wouldn’t be going back .

Staff were friendly. Rooms were a bit dated but fine for a no thrills golf trip. Food was much better at the golf clubhouse compared to the restaurants at the hotel. The spa was great.

Stunning Location, in the mountains with amazing scenery . Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms very dated, however are functional. Upon arrival only one bed for two people, although additional sofa bed with pull out bed provided, there was no additional bedding provided, so a trip back to reception was required which is not a great introduction to your stay. Both double bed and sofa bed were uncomfortable, bearable on a short golf break, but certainly not a luxury accommodation experience. Resort was very picturesque, went all inclusive and whilst food/drink options are plentiful, quality of food was pretty average. Avoid using minibar, tea/coffee in room, as these are charged seperate (you can get round this by stocking your fridge with drinks from bar/Golf course or taking tea bags from buffet breakfast) Not much to do in terms of evening entertainment, perfect if you are looking for a quieter chilled out break, but not much to do in the evenings if you want something more lively. Whilst there are clearly some shortcomings, it offered great value for money paid.

We stayed in a studio room apartment in the Pirin village, ideally situated in a block joined to the hotel and one floor above the Spa area. Although the room was relatively basic, it suited the needs for our golf break. On an all inclusive basis, we ate or drank etc at either the hotel or club house - the food was a set menu or buffet but good and enough variety. There is an option to eat at a couple of other restaurants in the village, but it was very quiet. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The Spa includes an inside pool, outside warm pool and thermal area with Sauna etc - all inclusive. Transfer from airport was swift and efficient in Pirin's car; and transfers to and from golf in electric buggy seamless ! All in all incredible value for money

After reading some of the previous reviews our group of 4 were a little apprehensive about Pirin. Turned out this place was an absolute gem. We stayed in the rooms off the main reception block and whilst they are a little basic they are great for what we needed. Short walk to all the restaurants and facilities. Food in the hotel was better than expected and whilst some of the restaurants were closed we still had good choice. Buffet breakfast was good with lots of choice and the staff were generally very helpful.

The hotel is a little bit tired and needs updating particularly in the bedrooms. They are functional but not memorable. The staff were very friendly in the bar and restaurant, breakfast choice was great but the hot food was ‘cold/warm’. Only had dinner one evening in the restaurant, the food was cold although there was lots of choice. The only other evening we ate at the Greek Restaurant and we were the only people there. It was ok, good service but food was average.

Although the rooms were quite basic, the food and drink very much made up for them. Truly all inclusive they will keep bringing you food and drink until you’re finished. On top of this all the staff were very friendly and helpful driving us around the complex when needed.

The golf course we really nice and we had an amazing week , there were some parts that were waterlogged due to bad weather , the course wasn’t very busy and that was nice as we didn’t have to wait at tee boxes , overall we were very happy

Course was was very picturesque sat in the middle of the mountains. Challenging course but some good scoring holes too. The only let down was how confusing it is to know where to go from hole 9-10, and then 14 to 15 when playing course C. It didnt. align with the buggy map or VPAR. But overall didn’t stop for a very enjoyable round.

Golf experience was fantastic, great course suitable for golfers of all abilities. Great clubhouse and practise facilities. Course itself is well maintained, although in places over watered which meant in places fairways were very spongy and buggies slip and slide. Course appears to be sparsely used, most days we rarely met anyone put on course, which meant relaxing time and we tended to stop for all inclusive lunch after 9 holes before finishing our round(s) There are a total of 23 playable holes and 3 different 18 hole layouts, the best by far being the 18 holes that make up Ian Woosnam course. Whilst we booked tee times each day, not sure this is really required

Pirin is made up of 18 hole Woosnam course & 6 hole Pine course. Spectacular 360 views of snow topped mountains on every hole. Condition of courses were excellent (especially the Woosnam) - many greenkeeping staff everywhere. The greens & fairways are immaculate, the rough is American-style (deep/tangly grass and no semi-rough) so important to keep on fairways ! Water streams & pools are a feature throughout well designed to present a challenge off the tee or protecting an approach. With the two courses, it is set out to enable different combinations of Woosnam & Pine holes that brough variety to our golf days. The weather was sunny and temperatures 28-30 deg C - except for one thunder storm - so recommend buggy hire (£30 per 18). The courses during weekdays was virtually empty and weekends still very clear. My only criticism would be the club's soaking of fairway around greens, which make the ground very 'marshy' - making approaches stall/plug and chipping tough from 50 yards in. All in all a great test of golf in wonderful weather on an quality course !

This was Champaign golf for beer prices. This place was great. The course was almost empty, the fairways and greens were superb and the course very interesting. The Woosnam 18 were great but the option to incorporate the 5 pine holes into your round allowed you to change it up if you wanted. The clubhouse and pro shop were also great and the option to stop in after 9 for a buffet or ala carte lunch worked well. Overall, could not fault the course or facilities. Bulgarian golf, who knew!!

There are 18 holes on the main course and a further 5 holes on the Pine course. They have tried to say it is a 36 hole course by playing a number of holes from each course which is a little confusing. Both courses are very good. The courses are not very busy so you can practically play when you want to and even stop for lunch and play a few more. Food is ecellent in the Club House so well worth making the most of it. The biggest drawback is the distance from Sofia Airport to Pirin 150 km which is a 2 hour journey.

The golf course and the Clubhouse (Facilities/Bar/Restaurant) are excellent. The course was I great condition and there were many green-keeping staff tending the course. It’s tough though if you miss the fairways. Really enjoyable.

This championship course truly exceeded our expectations. The quality of the greens, fairways and tee boxes remained top all week setting up 7 very enjoyable rounds. We also found the course to be very fair where good golf was rewarded and bad golf penalised. Being a relatively long course I would recommend playing it off the yellows for full enjoyment. Finally, the views were incredible with mountains surrounding the course. Will definitely be returning! Thank you John for the great recommendation.
