If you're the sort of golfer who likes ticking off big names, Reunion is a bit of a treat. It's the only place in Florida where you can play three championship courses on one estate, designed by Tom Watson, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. That's world-class golf variety without adding transfers, and it's exactly the sort of setup that lets you compare three very different design philosophies over a long weekend.

Location-wise, it's hard to argue with. You're around 30 minutes from Orlando Airport and roughly 10 minutes from Disney, so it works for golf-only trips and family tag-alongs. Reunion is one of the standouts among our Florida golf resorts, especially if you want three top-name courses on one estate. The resort itself sits in a stunning Florida setting, with 320 rooms spread across the property and seven restaurants to choose from, so you're covered for dining whether you want fine Italian or relaxed clubhouse fare after your round.

Who is this for?
Golf groups who want variety (three very different layouts) without adding transfers, and families who want Orlando on the doorstep but still fancy a proper golf base with pools, tennis and a kids' club. The villa-style accommodation suits golfers travelling in fours or larger parties, while the three signature courses appeal to anyone who enjoys comparing design styles and playing layouts built by household names.

Who is it best for?
Societies and groups who like mixing formats across a long weekend, plus mid-to-low handicappers who'll enjoy seeing how Palmer, Nicklaus and Watson challenge you in different ways. Families mixing golf with theme parks will find the location and villa setup hard to beat.

Golf Courses at Reunion Resort

Nicklaus Course

Ask a group of golfers to name three legends of the game and it’s pretty likely that you will receive this as a response: Nicklaus, Palmer, Watson. And the Reunion Resort has courses designed by each. If that’s not reason enough to visit, then we don’t know what is.

The Golden Bear’s contribution to the golfing landscape of Reunion is no mere point-and-shoot target layout; this 7,219-yard Nicklaus Signature Design is a genuine challenge and one of the best courses in Orlando. The layout is parkland in style and with small greens that will demand accuracy above all else. The Nicklaus Course is restricted to resort guests and members, and was ranked 17th in Golfweek’s Top 100 Courses You Can Play in Florida.

Watson Course

Also featured in the Golfweek list, the Watson Course is a true reflection of the character and game of its designer. The Signature Tom Watson Design is not particularly long – 7,154 yards from the medal tees – but is a strategic test that will test every shot in the bag. The windswept, local grasses give Watson’s creation a rugged feel, the ideal contrast to superbly manicured fairways and greens.

The Watson course at the Reunion Resort is ranked as one of the best courses in Florida

Palmer Course

If there’s one course that stands out at Reunion, you may say it is Arnie’s. The Palmer is routed over unique humps and bumps, hollows and swales, creating an incredible visual effect and making for a few challenging lies. Measuring under 7,000 yards, the Palmer will not overpower visitors, but play here during your golf holiday and you will have to be creative and imaginative in a way that many Florida golf courses will not demand.

Reunion Resort is also home to the signature ANNIKA Academy, a comprehensive tuition facility that can be included as part of your stay.

Accommodation at Reunion Resort

Reunion is less a traditional resort and more a self-contained village, and that's most obvious when you see the accommodation. Rather than a central hotel tower, you'll stay in one of the resort's spacious villas, each set in a low-rise block with views across the estate. It's a setup that gives you genuine space and freedom, not just a room with a bed.

Friends and families travelling in groups of four or more will particularly appreciate what's on offer here. The villas come with one, two or three bedrooms, and while they're not dripping in five-star extras, they deliver everything you actually need for a comfortable, independent stay. Fully equipped kitchens mean you can sort your own breakfast or late-night snack, while the living areas come with high-speed internet and cable TV, so you can unwind properly after a day on the course.

The villa format works especially well for golf groups. You get communal space to debrief the round, plan tomorrow's matches and settle any on-course disputes without being confined to a standard hotel room. It's relaxed, sociable and practical. For groups, the big win is having a lounge and kitchen to spread out in, rather than everyone disappearing to separate rooms after dinner. You can split costs more easily, keep your own schedule for breakfast, and generally feel more like you're on a golf trip with mates than a package holiday.

The bedrooms are configured to suit different group sizes, with options for twin or double setups depending on the villa you choose. Laundry facilities in most villas are a nice touch if you're staying longer or playing multiple rounds a day, and the low-rise layout means you're never far from your car or a shuttle around the estate. It's the sort of setup that makes a week-long trip feel manageable rather than hotel-bound.

Having a kitchen is handy, but Reunion's restaurant lineup means you won't be cooking every night unless you want to. Eleven, perched on the 11th floor, is a brilliant spot for cocktails and stargazing, while Forte serves a flavoursome Italian menu that's perfect when you want something a bit special. For post-round ease, the Clubhouse delivers exactly what golf groups need: quality food, cold drinks and a setting where you can relax in your golf gear without feeling out of place.

Beyond the golf and dining, Reunion offers plenty to fill any downtime. The spa menu includes indulgent massages, available either in a treatment room or the comfort of your own villa, which is a nice touch if you've walked 36 holes and don't fancy going anywhere. Tennis courts, multiple outdoor pools and a kids' club round out the facilities, reinforcing Reunion as one of the smartest choices for a golf holiday in the Orlando area, especially if you're bringing family or want more than just golf.
