Although you may not choose to base yourself around the Hainaut area, the Royal Golf Club du Hainaut is of such quality that is well worth stopping off on route to Spa or Waterloo.

Royal Golf Club du Hainaut

Designed by the esteemed English golf architect, Tom Simpson, Hainaut was completed in 1938, and features immaculate fairways and greens which are bordered by impressive woodland.

If you select the back tees, the championship course measures 6,626 yards, and while that is not particularly long by modern standards, the par of 72 is tough to match.

With the addition of a further nine holes, called L'Etang, the Royal Golf Club du Hainaut is now even more adaptable, and comes highly recommended during your next golfing tour of Belgium.
